He gave us a attitude about the mattress because after being asked three times by him "are you SURE you don't want a new one" "can't you just take a look at mine" him then turning to my husband on his last effort "what about you do you think she'd need a new mattress?" I got annoyed and said "we do not need a mattress we need either a frame of trundle/day bed, that's it." He rolled his eyes and let out a sigh while going "fine". I told him I wanted it only in white and after him asking if what he showed me (a studded medium to light grey trundle that just wasn't what we wanted) looked good. He "demonstrates" stating "and you don't even have to be strong to lift this up!" And pulls it out stating "sit" pointing to it. We declined. He says again "sit" we say again "no you were okay" he says a third time "well this is how you decide if you want it and this is where people sit down so...sit". By this point I'm fed up and so is my husband. He tells Mike "you know what we're going to shop around and leave". Mike insists we get pricing on it (and as a former sales person at a car dealership I knew this is how they get your info) we said again "no thanks" he insisted and got visibly angered and gritted his teeth saying "well ya know that's my business card and how you know who I am so you need to do it". Worst part is, I actually saw a frame I liked, but hey, guess since it's for "childish" people only (which is precisely what he is) he won't mind not getting paid on it.

Absolutely appalling experience with Ashley Furniture - avoid at all costs…read more I purchased a couch from Ashley Furniture in Toms River, NJ on November 15, 2024, along with their 5-year ProtectAll extended protection plan. Less than a year later, in fact -ONLY 6 MONTHS LATER the couch developed serious issues with the reclining mechanism and pinching--clear signs of a manufacturing defect and safety concern. I reached out on June 1, 2025, to begin a warranty claim and was immediately bounced back and forth between Ashley Furniture and ProtectAll. I followed up again on June 2 and June 3, during business hours, and still couldn't get a straight answer from either party aside from "we made note and someone will call you back." But no word over WHO was responsible. On June 11, Ashley informed me it would take over six weeks just to get the part needed for repair and another month after that to schedule a technician. A 10+ week delay is absolutely unacceptable for a couch under warranty. On June 12, I contacted the Toms River location directly, and while I was told a regional manager would contact me over the weekend, what I got instead was a call on June 13 from a rude customer service supervisor telling me Ashley Furniture no longer wants to work with me regarding this issue--despite the warranty still being active and the defect clearly falling under its terms. This company has shown zero accountability, offers horrendous customer service, and refuses to honor their warranty. I've since filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am pursuing further action. I paid good money for what I was told would be a "worry-free" piece of furniture, and instead I'm left with a non-functional and unsafe couch and no support. Buyer beware.

Tess, if that indeed was Tess, (I did not inquire), spent time showing me some of the chalk painting techniques that she uses. Offered advice freely and in a very friendly manner. She encouraged me to take pictures, unlike the proprietor of the less friendly shop right down the street. Definitely go visit this shop! Truly adorable!

We found the perfect master bedroom set (king), kids wanted IKEA modular bedrooms so we just bought them each queen mattress sets, the memory foam (the whatever is popular now mattresses). We also bought a huge sectional that had 2 recliners and a queen pull out bed built in for our basement room, roughly $5k in furniture, free delivery. In about 5 business days everything was delivered (we had air mattresses in the meantime). We chose the monthly payments with no interest as long as you make payments on time, we had ours automatically deducted with bill pay. Review 12/2016- Finally needed to get a dining table and living room set for our Great Room- Off to Value City. My thought was to just look not buy, this way I don't get frustrated. As we were walking around the store I really wasn't feeling it, but then in the back living area, my hubby saw a really nice grey sectional (picture uploaded) since I have wood floors I really prefer furniture I can sweep under fully and this couch was only 2 pc, fluffy back but firm when seated really comfy, we agreed we would get it. I also saw a pub height dining table (picture uploaded) that had different wood shades in the make up, it is square but round if you pull up the side leaves, then it seats from 4 to 6 with a flush lazy susan in the middle (picture uploaded) which is also really nice. So I have the table set up with 4 chairs and I out the other two chairs in the kitchen for the counter bar, perfect height. Also I am petite so usually on pub chairs I don't reach the foot rung, so my legs dangle, really uncomfortable, I don't have that problem with these chairs, they are really comfortable, you can add cushions for the seat, but I found you don't really need too, but I did add for the back rest, just for decoration. No scratches, dings or tears. I also got 5 year warranty on both sets which covers pretty much everything, yep even if a rung on the chair is broken-- covered. When speaking with the salesman they had the table in stock but not the couch in grey they did have it brown, so we opted to wait until we could have both delivered at the same time. Delivery was about 2 weeks, the day was super raining when they arrived, the crew put liners down on the entry way so they didn't track in dirt. Super considerate. From arrival, unpack, set up , clean up and leave about 45 minutes, which I think was pretty fast. I attached to photos so you could see the couch and table. Prices are moderate to expensive, depending on what you are looking for, we went when they had a sale going on, with an additional % off and a 3% tax rate which is great, so we got the table with 6 chairs and the 2 pc sectional for a pretty good price.
