I have passed US Brand for years and may have stopped in when it was an "Oriental Furniture Outlet" or a mattress wholesaler, I really can't remember. Whatever it was doesn't really matter, US Brand is a converted industrial garage stuffed to the rafters with furniture. Surprisingly the staff is very low key and allows you to catch your breath and get the lay of the land without descending like vultures on a wounded mongoose (very much appreciated BTW.) Unfortunately, their furniture inventory is not our style. Lots of laminate, white leather, sprawling Diamonique chandeliers and copious use of gold inlays. It felt more like an estate sale for the last Gabor sister or perhaps, Imelda Marcos. Obviously, this casino maximus style must sell but today was not the day to channel my inner Wayne Newton. Four stars for the very relaxed sales environment. Given the furniture jackals elsewhere, that's no small compliment.

First we liked the sales gal and her helpful, non pushy style. Compare that to a competitor across the street where it looked like a car dealership and several sharp looking guys in suits waiting at the door for you to exit your car! Not that style here at US Brands! The owner was equally low key. It took two visits before we landed on the exact size and color of sectional couch. They said it would take 6-8 weeks; it took a week or so longer; and was just delivered today! We LOVE our new couch! And now plan to return to add other new pieces to our family room. Highly recommend this place.

After returning home I decided the one I had was very similar. Same day went back to the store an hour later but Janeen refused to take it back, even though she could clearly see the package had not been opened. Very rude and unpleasant. Shop where customer service is good. When you buy something they are pushing to sell you they don't tell you it is a final sale. Same thing happened with friends who bought a mattress but were unhappy with the firmness, a week later Janeen refused to exchange it for a different one saying the store policy does not cover "comfort" exchanges. Any mattress store will give you at least 30 days. The good reviewers will realize this when down the road they experience a problem with their purchase.

The people in the store are relatively nice, though it can be hard to find help when you need it…read more It's a big warehouse and you sometimes feel deserted in a particular section. I tried the design services once and found them underwhelming. With that said, the online ordering is where they completely fumble the ball. I ordered a sample 20 days ago, 14 business days, and it's still stuck several states away. I called to report the delay and got nowhere. I had to provide the same info to both an AI agent and a human rep. The person put my on a long hold with loud music just to come back and inform me of the tracking history I could look up myself. I asked for a better resolution and even offered to reorder, but the human said the new order would take just as long. I wish they had just had this sample in the store to begin with, though I was willing to order because I thought that process would be more efficient. The rep was maddeningly repetitive and unapologetic. At the very least, she shouldn't have kept me on hold so long just to look up information that I didn't need or ask for. I told her at the outset that the shipment was delayed. I didn't need to hear that it was stuck in West Virginia. I told her I'd be leaving a bad review, and she seemed fine with that, so here we are.
