Don't shop for a mattress here! Some of staff are pushy salesman trying to sell you something you don't need. Check your invoice before excepting purchase. They change the verbal quotes to more money on the invoice. And sell you items that you don't want. They do not return phone calls. Customer service is not part of their service. This had nothing to do with the quality of mattresses offered but the customer service provided. The customer service was lackluster and honestly just downright rude. The lack of knowledge regarding their own policies was disappointing and contradictory to their stated procedures both online and advertised in other branch stores. Word of advice when you walk in make sure the mattress you are considering at this store is a new mattress before proceeding. In talking to sales person Issac he asked if I would consider a used mattress and I said no I would not. There was no hesitation when I answered. I was looking at one mattress but thought a bit high even on sale so he said he could make a phone call to see if they had anymore wiggle room. He came back with $200 more off price so I purchased it and had it delivered. While the delivery men were removing the old mattress I looked down at the new mattress and saw a red tag that said. USED/PRE OWNED no warranty. Immediately called the store and talked to Issac about what had just been delivered and reminded him of my (NO) answer to a used mattress. His response was well you can return it but you will have to pay full price for a replacement. I knew exactly at that moment what kind of a business this was. (FLIM FLAM) THIS WAS A DECEITFUL SALE. After reading all the review on the Purple Mattress, I made an appointment to test the various versions of the Purple Mattress. I will impressed and purchased a Cal King size Purple Mattress, with the expectation it would be delivered the next week. Long story short, Mattress Firm did not phone to confirm delivery, so we did inquire, only to be informed it was no available. The tentative date is three week hence, however, any attempt to get confirmation is met with ghosting (ie no returned phone calls). I highly recommend not paying until delivery. read more

What a smooth pleasure the whole experience was! Tabatha at the store completely educated me on coil numbers and firmness vs. firm support and got me a great 4th of July deal on a Queen set. Delivery was well organized with text and voice mail and I got my new set delivered in Seascape the next morning! The saleswoman was very attentive but clearly had her "used car salesman" script going and was doing her best to upsell. I suppose you can't blame her for that, but buyer beware, because you may end up, like I did with things I wasn't happy with. I ended up spending 50% more than I intended to on a Stearns and Fosters mattress that I'm not happy with because it sleeps "hot" and it is enormously heavy. I can barely lift the corner to put on fitted sheets; I will never be able to turn it. The salesperson knew I lived alone and had some orthopedic problems. I would have been better off with something that was not as thick. Also, I have my doubts about the suitability of this mattress for the Sealy Tempurpedic adjustable base I purchased at the same time; it folds weirdly The base I purchased works fine, but the remote looks and feels cheap for something at this price point. In fact it is very cheap. It slipped off my bed and when it landed on my wood floor, it flew into pieces, the electronics board and pair button detaching from everything else. After spending 1.5 hours on the tech phone line, I was informed that "accidents" are not covered by the warranty, so I have to buy a new remote ($39 on-line--I bought two given that they are so poorly made) which won't arrive for a week. I would recommend that anyone who buys one of these Tempurapedic adjustable base buys an extra remote at the time of initial purchae. This remote accident is how one discovers that there is no way to set the bed back to a default flat position if you don't have a working remote paired successfully to the power unit. This seems ridiculous, and makes me feel like the base is cheaply made--they can't even be bothered to put a button on the power supply that would allow you to put the bed flat, let alone operate the bed manually instead of using a remote. It's a nice, quiet store with friendly sales people, but buyer beware. read more

I recently returned to Mattress Firm. When I went the first time I didn't like the salesperson. I was totally turned off being shown the most expensive Mattresses. He didn't really listen to me. Terrible delivery service We went in knowing we wanted to purchase a Tempur-pedic mattress and our salesperson was very helpful and kind. We spent time understanding the difference between mattress levels and as we chose one we were told delivery could happen at any time during the week because everything was in stock and ready to go. I had to arrange for my current mattress to get picked up and explained this to our salesperson so we could ensure that we would not be without a mattress while the new one was getting delivered. I had set up for delivery and then got the phone call and emails and text confirming delivery for the next morning. When nobody showed and I could not get a hold of anyone at the delivery center and nobody at the store till 10 I was rather frustrated. I then got emails saying my delivery was "getting scheduled" . After a few calls it was found out that the mattress was not in stock and could not get delivered for over a week. I had no mattress at this point so our salesperson arranged for a temp to be sent out the next day. For the inconvenience I was told the delivery fees would be refunded (has not happened) and was given a set of sheets that do not fit the bed at all so are useless. The new mattress was delivered, the delivery guys were acting strangely and wore shoes in my house (rainy weather) which got my rug dirty. As they left I went to close the gate and make sure all garbage was picked up and saw that the delivery drivers that had backed up the driveway in their box truck, had run over my keypad at the top of the drive and broke it in half. Then they left and did not stop or call to say what happened. I called the store immediatley and was told to email the photos over and someone would contact me. This has been a HUGE inconvenience and a costly issue. I have emailed a provisional quote to the delivery people to get the gate keypad replaced. This means more of my time waiting for people, making phone calls and trying to get this resolved. Overall I would never reccomend Mattress Firm to anyone because of the delivery issues and lack of getting this resolved. read more

It was quiet and there was something about the super-clean, uncluttered no-nonsense layout of the store that said to me "these folks are serious about just one thing: mattresses." Jamie Weber helped us compare all of the options and sort out the various differences in features and price. She took her time with us and when we finally had it decided, she worked out a fantastic, totally awesome deal for us! Not only was the price just terrific, but we were also able to get 0% financing on our purchase. I can't say enough good things about Jamie and Mattress Firm. What a sham, I applied for their financing which is advertised at 60mo interest free and was denied under the guise Synchrony bank could not verify my Identity, I followed the requirements to the letter and sent them all the info they asked for and my credit score is high enough to obtain credit anywhere i go on a signature. So I was perplexed to say the least and reached out to an area manager for Mattress Firm who reached out to Synchrony bank who advised her to have me reapply so they could verify my identity and maybe approve me. We did, The area manager says we have an approval through some other financial institution for a reasonable dollar amount but the interest free timeline is only 12mo following up a 35.9 % interest rate if not paid in full within the 12 months. Seriously? Eight months ago I rode away on a new motorcycle with a 4 year 0 % interest loan on a signature. Now I have 2 hard inquiries on my credit report report that will take two years to fall off and have a negative impact. And NO BED! I wouldn't buy from this place if they were the only deal in town. I feel shammed, they have acquired all my pertinent information and I'm sure they'll share that with other solicitors they've negatively affected my credit standing and bait and switched with the credit offers,, i never would have applied the second time if i had known it was not the original 60mo 0% interest loan i had originally applied for. Unbelievable! The problem wasn't as much in the not being approved because they couldn't verify my identity it was with your sales associate running my credit information with your "alternative financers" WITHOUT my permission. Mr Palmer I too am in retail at an Area Managers level as well, I'm familiar with bait and switch tactics and if you'd like to continue discussing them in a public forum I've got no problem with that. To be clear what that looks like, you acquired my credentials under the guise I was applying for 0% financing, when that was declined under bogus reasoning you automatically used my credentials to apply somewhere else without my knowledge or permission for a loan or an organization I wanted nothing to do with. That's in layman's terms SHADY! Legally its called something else. read more

I never received any communication about my mattress other than sorry sir but its out of warranty. Even though it was in warranty when I the service company came out to play some stupid game with the mattress to tell me that I am wrong. Bottom line, that mattress is in a guest room now and is never used its there just for looks basically. I had to purchase a new one. I bought a new one from costco and i love it. The best part about Costco is that they always stand behind their products. So the fear of dealing with warranty companies and lack of communication will never happen.
