Believe it or not, tempur-pedic has about 12 different pillows - ranging in firmness (soft, medium and firm) and also height (low, medium, high). So the gentlemen who helped us was highly professional and we were able to lay down on our side to try the pillow. They provide disposable bed sheet and pillow covers, so it's very safe. The salesperson was patient in answering our questions but his co-worker (he had long hair) was somewhat snarky in his recommendations. We tried only 4 pillows (2 types in both medium and firm). The pillows are like $200 each so we wanted to think things over and as we walked out, the co-worker said, "so all of that?" to his co-worker. As if to say, you answered all of those questions and they didn't buy. Maybe that snarky guy is unhappy at work but he shouldn't be displaying that behavior toward his professional co-worker and potential customers.

Inside this brand new, immaculately clean showroom on Sheffield in Chicago is a wide selection of about 35 fully configured mattresses on display. They carry the major brand names: Serta, Beauty Rest and different types: memory foam, gel memory foam, hybrid and traditional. You can spend as much time as you want, wandering around and trying them out for feel. No creepy salesman on your tail, breathing down your neck. BTDT. This is also an opportunity to learn, at your leisure, about the different mattress types. It's not simple, given the multiplicities of construction available now. There is an 800 number you can call with questions or to order. Ordering can also be accomplished at the in-store kiosk or online. Prices seem comparable to the other retail stores and are clearly posted. But be prepared for sticker shock. Mattresses everywhere are crazy expensive. Probably because they try to build all this technology into them. Mattress buying has always been a crap shoot because the manufacturers deliberately deliberately obfuscate the market by putting different names on mattresses they distribute to various retailers so they can't compete on price. This place is still part of that. The restroom is also immaculately clean. Located exactly at the intersection of Willow, Sheffield and Clyborn in a small strip mall. I have just begun to shop so can't comment further about their ordering and delivery. But for a mattress shopping freebie, this is the place to check out first.

That was the main reason for me to buy the mattress so I decided to return it. Michelle responded so positive and made me feel appreciated as a customer. she went above and beyond to keep me as a customer. She mentioned they don't get many people complaining and checked the firmness of the batch my mattress was made in. Apparently they test every batch thoroughly. Unfortunately she couldn't find the results so offered me to try another medium firm mattress or to try a firm one. Of course I could also return the mattress for a full refund. But They are so confident in the quality of their mattresses that she offered me another mattress to try for yet another 100 days. The new one was delivered today and they set up a (contact-less) pickup of the old mattress for tomorrow. I can not judge whether this firmness will do it for me but I really hope it will as I'd love to support these people!
