We were staying in Marathon n leaving the next day so couldn't go back down, but I knew I'd be able to get a replacement on the way out of the Keys at Largo Cargo. Sales Lady, who told us she started in January and liked her job was very polite and conversational. Its refreshing when people enjoy coming to work and actually want to work. This an excellent place to shop for all your Keys souvenirs.

Literally one of the last shops before leaving the upper keys, I stumbled on Largo Cargo during today's day trip when I saw their roadside shark sculpture! At first I thought it was just a spot for a quick picture but noticed it is an actual store. I was able to find a few fridge magnets to bring to friends. But did you know what else I found? A talking pirate! (Well actually a very talented animatronic one with all the puns; I think there was even a mother-in-law joke in there :) The attendants were very pleasant and helpful with locating my "loot". I believe they also sell shirts and swimwear if you were to forget while heading TO the Keys. I would definitely recommend!

I purchased a bracelet at J&G Handmade Creations and was very happy with it until 3 days later. It just fell off my wrist whilst shopping in a store in Key West. This last trip it was windy so we actually drove up and down the Keys multiple times being tourists. I stopped in my favorite bookstore in Islamorada to purchase another copy of Capt Fizz's book on Treasure Salving to re-read. When we got home, I started looking up some coin information online. I have a 1 Reale pendant that I love for the shape and I started thinking about maybe getting an (authentic) 8 Reale for my husband for his upcoming birthday. After quite a bit of looking, I kept coming back to one listed by DePaula Jewelers. Not so coincidentally it was a Capt. Fizz coin! I kicked myself for not getting this idea while I was THERE and could have shopped in person. I sent an email with a couple of questions and got a response the next day. My questions were answered and I was offered an incentive to purchase. SOLD! I PayPal'd the money and my purchase was mailed immediately. Thankfully the husband went offshore fishing today so *I* got the mail. O_O. The only drawback is that now I have to wait to give the gift! It is SO cool. I feel like I got 5 star service even with an online purchase. And I like that I got to shop from my home away from home. I recommend this store for unique items and superb service.
