I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Blue Marlin Jewelry was extremely…read moredisappointing. I brought my watch in on June 19, 2025 for what should have been a simple clasp repair. I was never given a written estimate before the work was approved. Later I was told the clasp/buckle needed replacement and I verbally approved the work based on the information provided at the time. When I came back to pick up the watch, I immediately noticed that one of the hands had fallen off the watch. This means the watch was damaged somewhere during the service process while it was out through their service chain. That should never happen when a customer leaves a watch with a jewelry store. Because of that damage, the watch had to be sent out again. From the moment I dropped it off to the moment it was finally ready, the process took about eight months. Regardless of where the delay occurred, that is an extremely long time for a customer to wait for a watch repair. What was most surprising was the way the situation was handled afterward. Despite the damage occurring while the watch was in their service process and the extremely long delay, I was still expected to pay the full amount for the buckle replacement. There was no real effort to acknowledge the customer experience or take responsibility for what happened during the process. Unfortunately, that level of professionalism and accountability was not demonstrated here. The response I received from management made it clear that the focus was on explaining their internal process rather than understanding the situation from the customer's perspective. When a business stops caring about how the customer experience feels on the other side, it becomes a serious problem. I remained patient throughout the entire eight-month process and tried to handle the situation respectfully, but the overall experience left me very disappointed. If you are considering doing business here, I strongly recommend that you get everything in writing before leaving your watch or jewelry. Based on my experience, this is not a level of service I would expect from a professional jewelry store.

I wasn't aware that in the past year, Armando opened a second store in Key West, and I was so excited when I stumbled upon it. It's just as great as the original Islamorada location. For anyone who is looking for unique, fine jewelry that has a Florida Keys vibe, I highly recommend checking them out. And if it's your birthday, let them know, they have discounts for your special day!

I have friends that live in Marathon so I am in the Keys several times a year. We rarely go farther…read morethan a 3 mile radius.....except for fishing! This last trip it was windy so we actually drove up and down the Keys multiple times being tourists. I stopped in my favorite bookstore in Islamorada to purchase another copy of Capt Fizz's book on Treasure Salving to re-read. When we got home, I started looking up some coin information online. I have a 1 Reale pendant that I love for the shape and I started thinking about maybe getting an (authentic) 8 Reale for my husband for his upcoming birthday. After quite a bit of looking, I kept coming back to one listed by DePaula Jewelers. Not so coincidentally it was a Capt. Fizz coin! I kicked myself for not getting this idea while I was THERE and could have shopped in person. I sent an email with a couple of questions and got a response the next day. My questions were answered and I was offered an incentive to purchase. SOLD! I PayPal'd the money and my purchase was mailed immediately. Thankfully the husband went offshore fishing today so *I* got the mail. O_O. The only drawback is that now I have to wait to give the gift! It is SO cool. I feel like I got 5 star service even with an online purchase. And I like that I got to shop from my home away from home. I recommend this store for unique items and superb service.

Quick easy turnaround time and quality work. I get all my jewelry from these guys and have had some repair to old stuff as well. I bought a watch from them that had a problem. It was within the warranty period from the manufacturer. The manufacturer was giving me problems about fixing my watch. I contacted them and Billy had the issue resolved almost immediately. This is a great local establishment. I shop mostly at the south store here in islamorada because of close proximity to home. However don't forget to check out their other great location up in the Winn Dixie plaza. Great customer service guys. Thank you. Keep up the outstanding job.

What a little hidden gem of a spot! My friends who own a place in the middle Keys recommended this…read morearea to stop for some cool shopping and coffee. At first we actually passed the parking lot...I'd be surprised if other people did as well! The Village Square entrance is a bit set in through a gate in a fence...very inconspicuous if you don't know it's there. So we made a u-turn and headed back...My first stop was the Miss Monroe Boutique as I was looking for a certain kind of bag that I wanted to buy. Very cute store - like a mix of Etsy and Lily Pulitzer...unique and distinct items. From there we walked around and checked out all the cool vendor stalls...My favorite was the plants - so beautiful and lush...macrame holders, etc....We also went to Cafe Moka for a coffee and a snack. We sat down in the garden to enjoy our small meal and then we headed on our way...We will definitely stop here again!
