Five stars go towards this well-maintained gem! === THE GOLF Adults are $12.85 and kids are $8.55. That gets each of you 18 holes of golf and there's something for everyone: young, old, beginner, and advanced. At least two of the holes have a couple of options for you to hit into, which result in closer or further placement for the hole situated down below. $5 allows you to play again. === 3. SERVICE We were helped by a couple of ladies and both seemed friendly. They tend to what looked like plants they sell in the clubhouse as well as a small ice cream freezer (which starts at $4 a bar I believe). === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a picturesque location with two big fountains and ups, downs, bridges over water and plenty of artificial turf and garden features. Wheelchairs and baby strollers will make it over most but not all of the holes (some had stairs only to get up or down). Parking is available in a decent-sized lot in front.

I just knew- I wanted to get of the ship and explore the town and some local businesses. With my handy dandy device, thanks to Google Maps, I find it nifty that businesses have their names popped up on maps. The name in itself got my attention. Once I clicked on the business and scrolled thru pictures- I was SOLD!! I didn't even look at prices! I knew Haunted Manor opened at 11am and we were gonna get there before they opened up. Once you step in- we were greeted and informed lockers are available, no charge. We just did some light shopping at Bulk Barrel and utilized this free perk to stash our stuff. If you decide to purchase drinks- they'll need to be consumed in the immediate front room, at the seating area. Each room is meticulously decorated! The upbeat music gets your game face in motion. We decided not to keep score and just roll with it. I had my medical boot on- so, it was great to see the holes that you're actually using your putter, are well lit along the green. The rooms are mainly dimmed- to add to the spooky aesthetic. You just need to be a bit cautious when stepping onto the green, because there's a bit of a raised border. Some of the holes aren't your typical putt putt. And that's another elevated experience that bumps up the notch for Haunted Manor. Not sure if Canada has the tv show, Survivor or The Price is Right. Because some of these holes, you use your hands to to operate the ball. You'll see when you get there! Each hole has quirky instructions on how to play. Get as many photos and videos inside! I wish San Diego had something as cool as this! It really has Haunted Mansion vibes from Disneyland. When I checked my bank statement- it was $35, I believe in American dollars for two people.

Several holes were dexterity challenges instead of golf. They were some of our favorites! Some rooms had several tasks where the signs say to split up to keep from bottlenecking. Take that advice. Lots of different elevation changes and some great scenic holes. As per being Victoria if you get a chance to see deer on the golf course you can almost go near and pet them. Vancouver Island has an ecosystem not quite the Galapagos island, however they must not be many predators on the island as the deer seem very tame. I asked the starter how long the golf season was here and was told you can pretty much play 12 months of the year. In December and January he mentioned you may have to tee off after 10 AM before it warms up but such is life on the island. Holy shite folks. 12 months of golf in Canada? That's the joy of living on Vancouver Island. Never crazy hot in the summer and petty much no snow in winter.

Challenging enough to keep you going back and enjoyable so that you are not discouraged. I am a bad golfer, but I love playing. The scenery and holes are beautifully maintained and absolutely breathtaking. The driving range uses balls that are 8% lighter and therefore float as there is a water hazard on the driving range to practice with. They don't fly as far so don't feel you have lost something if you are hitting half your normal distance. Great experience I will be back
