An unbelievably caring and kind doctor, Dr. Standridge saved my father's life through diligence and perseverance. He usually saw the nurse practitioner but always hoped we could see the doctor. However, on a recent visit it was noted by the nurse practitioner that my dad was in AFIB and the doctor was in the room in a flash. He sent my dad to the ER where medications were given, a week later he had an outpatient procedure to correct the situation. It did not help, my Dad continued going downhill and after being a mobile healthy man, he was suddenly wheelchair-bound and exhausted. Dr. Standridge followed him every step of the way, calling and asking for him come back in. Because of his perseverance he caught what the cardiologist overlooked, my dad had internal bleeding that was obvious through his blood work. The cardiologist has no excuse for not recognizing a hemoglobin dropping from 13 to 7.9 in approximately a weeks time. Dr. Standridge saw this and sent him to the hospital for a blood transfusion and by then the hemoglobin was 5.9 which is nearing a life-threatening stage. I personally like Dr Standridge, he's very intelligent and truly cares about his patients. Despite the fact that my dad no longer lives near his office, we will always make the drive because he is such an awesome person and doctor. read more
