It was clear from speaking with their office manager that they don't care about patients but only about filling "slots" to get money. They don't work on Fridays, so they counted my call to them as late. They have the option of picking up messages on Fridays but they don't. If they cared about patients, they would have compassionate office practices. Most of their reviews tetify that in instance after instance, they just don't care about their patients. I do not consider them a welcome addition to Tallahassee.

She took the time to check on the information for me and came back with the details I needed. Her willingness to assist truly stood out. I am sharing this because that level of care reflects exactly who Dr. Reese is as a physician. She is thoughtful, kind, consistent, professional, and always willing to listen. No question ever feels silly or unimportant when you ask her. She takes the time to explain things clearly and makes sure her patients feel heard, respected, and cared for. Dr. Reese does not treat her patients like a number. Every time I visit her office, I feel important and valued. Her staff creates that same welcoming and caring atmosphere. As the preferred vendor of Aetna in Central Jersey, when one of their docs prescribes a test, their CRM system immediately springs into action calling you within 24 hours to lock in an appointment at one of their facilities. Naturally, if you have a question on coverage or billing, their alacrity at providing a timely answer on your schedule is far south of enthusiastic actually akin to pulling teeth. All to say that it pays to shop around at independent facilities as CH is ALWAYS the high cost provider and you are certainly not locked into their ecosystem unless you want to be. It's not that I like what they do but I still have to cede begrudging admiration for the transparency of their greed. Five stars.

Being gun-shy, it took a while to trust him, but he has proven to be an absolute gem. He listens to his patients (both I and my mate see him) -takes your concerns into consideration, does not treat you as if you are a body part or an idiot, and makes you part of the treatment team. He is calm and has a good sense of humor and a great bedside manner. He is good about offering options for treatment up front, and he shows his concern for his patients. I have never had a problem getting an appointment right away if I am acutely ill. Staff are very helpful. The medical assistant staff are wonderful to deal with and are very compassionate.

In addition to talking to me about my health, she just took a general interest in me and my personal/professional life and it was something that improved my overall experience. But I am German and I can tell you she is not. She just doesn't sugar coat and says how it is. No big deal. Robyn finally came in the room. She barely said a word to me other then to sit on the table. She felt my neck and then said "I don't even know why you're here, you are on medication. Stick with that, there is no need for you to come back." So I left. Fast forward to 2023 and my health has rapidly declined. I had tried to get in with other Endocrinologists but between time, insurance, and work it never worked out. I saw my ENT and he insisted my thyroid needs to removed and told me I have to get in with an endo to see what my next steps are. I figured let me give them another chance but with me seeing a different physician. Lateshia completely understood and was so nice in helping me get in with someone else. I am now seeing Sharon and I am very happy with her. I have only been back once, but I go back in 3 weeks, and she said she will have a full game plan for me at that time. This would have been a 1 star (if I could go negative I would) but after Lateshia's help and seeing Sharon it has now moved to 3 stars. I see a few reviews that only mention an office staff member not doing something with regards to…read moreprescriptions and I wanted to mention that prescriptions are refilled in several ways: You contact the pharmacist for a refill, you log onto the patient portal and submit a refill request, or you ask Dr. Smith to submit the refill while you are there in the office. I never had any issues with any of these three methods. I've been with Dr. Smith for twenty years, as has my daughter. She's always done the right thing, with thoughtful consideration of requests, a thorough knowledge of everyday healthcare issues and a concerted effort to learn more about healthcare issues that are less common. This has led to spot-on referrals to specialists as necessary. I could not begin to say enough about how delightful and wonderful Dr. Victoria Smith is as a doctor and much of her staff is pretty good as well. She does have healthcare students do their internships with her on occasion - so far, they've all been nice. As for the office staff - I, personally, have never had any issues with them. I have heard from my daughter that she doesn't always get the questions answered that she asks when she calls, but when I have her send the questions through the portal - she does get the results she wants. I'm not sure the turnover of secretaries there, so it may be the person who answered the phone when the review here was left (or when my daughter called) is not the same person anymore. I do know that judging Dr. Victoria Smith's practice based on one experience with a secretary is not a reflection of the overall experience I've had there for two decades. Also, any doctor won't know your experience with the secretary if you don't tell them. I know her well enough to know she'd have totally straightened out any situation that would impact the healthcare of her patients. She's got a huge heart.
