They gave emergency appointments late in the day, granted you may not see the doctor you normally see. But you'll get seen the same day, without the extra expense and stress of going to an urgent care center. I used Doctor Budi who was an excellent doctor to work with. She was kind and courteous whilst showing genuine concern for my health. She did always have cold hands, but with cold hands comes a warm heart. I may have been one of her few male patients, for I hear that she mostly works with children. I'm a child at heart so I was happy.

He had zero bedside manner; like an educated buffoon. Upon sitting down for my appt, in which he did not knock before entering or introduce himself to me; he proceeded to tell me he did not know why I was there. I am early in my pregnancy, (11 weeks) but I am very high risk. I lost my only son (a micro premie) at 24 weeks 2 days due to a funneling cervix. I have to have many appointments and a Cerclage places early on to attempt another pregnancy. Dr. Hamilton OBVIOUSLY took no time to review my chart prior to said appointment or else he would've know this and why I was there so early! By the way, Dr. Stewart requested the follow-up visit to monitor my pregnancy; but wasn't available so I ended up with Dr. Hamilton. He did do a VERY brief ultrasound of my baby, who is doing well praise God--isn't that reason enough for an appointment alone? Oh, and he reviewed my lab results, which I hadn't been aware of. But, apparently in his eyes; that didn't warrant an office visit. There is a way to treat people, that isn't it. I will continue to share this so that no one else is exposed to this rude, unprofessional man.

Dr Ditto is my current Dr., but many times I am seen by a P.A. or nurse. I have no complaints about my care. They are friendly, thorough, and appointment times are on time 90% of the time. And if delayed, its only minutes. Yes, they are busy, but thats to be expected. Never have to wait long for an appointment, and they seem to prioritize more urgent matters.

I had two telemedicine sessions with a nurse practitioner from this office in April and May of…read more2020. This was a follow up to my visit to Urgent Care for a post-covid illness. Meritus is not charging for telemedicine visits but this office charged me $77 for my first visit and $306 for the second. I am currently disputing these charges. I had blood work done at Urgent Care and was told that the results were normal. I told this to the nurse practitioner at this Internal Medicine office, and she used this as the basis to keep telling me that I was fine. She pulled up my record as she was speaking to me, because she knew my age and other details about me, but she never bothered to check the blood panel. I have since discovered that my blood panel had five items outside the normal range. When I was able to see an actual physician in June, she told me that my blood panel indicated inflammation, infection and some level of dehydration. She immediately diagnosed my problem as a cytokine storm. She recommended Ibuprofen and antihistamines to reduce inflammation and my body's immune response. There were additional drugs she could have prescribed if I had seen her earlier, when my symptoms were more severe. There are limitations to telemedicine and it is no substitute for seeing a physician in person. My main issues with my telemedicine sessions are: The nurse practitioner never even looked at my blood panel; She told me to stop drinking electrolytes because I was NOT dehydrated (when I was); She told me to stop taking Ibuprofen (my doctor told me to take it to reduce inflammation); She told me that the symptoms I was experiencing were too far removed from my covid infection to be related (my doctor told me that cytokine storm lasts 2-3 months, and I was in this time frame). She tried to trouble shoot it as a freestanding problem, and prescribed a medication which she said would raise my heart rate and dehydrate me. This was very alarming to me as my heart rate was already elevated and I knew that I was dehydrated. This Internal Medicine office called me and tried to set up an appointment in person with the nurse practitioner who did my telemedicine visits. I said I was not comfortable seeing this CNP and asked if there was a physician I could see. I was told that a nurse practitioner is basically just as good as a physician. I declined to make the appointment at this office and found a physician elsewhere. I never received a bill in the mail for these charges, only noticed them when I logged on to print my records (and I had to contact someone in Meritus' IT Department to create an account to be able to access these records). I was charged around $1000 by Meritus for the Urgent Care visit, lab work, and these two telemedicine sessions. I got basically nothing out of this and had to see a physician anyway. The Billing Department said it may take two weeks to reverse the charges for the telemedicine visits, but I suspect that I am going to have to keep fighting it.

I spent 2 weeks being transferred to various people at that office before finally being told that despite me following their cancellation policy to a T the discharge still stands. This is utterly ridiculous. The provider I was seeing, Christine Feathers is a terrible excuse for an NP. Not only does she not listen to anything I say as a patient, she flat out refused to refer me to an endocrinologist despite me requesting a referral, citing she felt like she could manage my diabetes in house, only to refuse to prescribe anything other than Metformin despite me having significant side effects for 2 months while taking it.

I never know if I'm going to be treated kindly or as if I'm a nuisance and it depends on the moods of whoever is up there and not on my behavior. The last few times, I saw Lauren. The first time she was going to send me out without an antibiotic and Dr. Money consulted and said I absolutely needed the antibiotic. The second time, I didn't feel heard at all. The third time I went in with a serious concern and was sent for labs. I had to call to follow up and spoke with a nurse who gave me the lab results, but it was only letters and numbers. I had NO idea what any of it meant. I asked her what I was supposed to do and she said Lauren said to take an iron pill and call a gynecologist. When I asked for a recommendation, I was given the one place I told them I could not go due to a sad experience there. I cried so much, but knew I might have luck with the specialist. I ended up in the ER when I called the gynecologist's office, explained my symptoms, and was told by them to get to the ER immediately. The doctor on call from that practice got personally involved when he found out how I was treated and was a miracle worker as I am now doing so well. I could have avoided all of this and many of the doctors and nurses who work in the gynecologist's office were shocked to hear how I was treated. I've heard very good things about Christine and Dr. Money, but again... I'm not really experienced with them. I am scared to go back there as I'm worried they are going to put me with Lauren again and that something will be missed.

This practice is outstanding. The waiting area is large and comfy seats. There are also two single…read morebathrooms which is nice. The check in process is via an iPad and easy to navigate instead of filling out paperwork with pen and paper. Dr Mitchell examined me for moles and cut off a skin tag near my eye. I was nervous when he told me he would inject lidocaine near my eye socket but he assured me it would be fine and much better with the lidocaine especially if the removed skin tag bled and I needed it cauterized. He quickly injected, cut it off and cauterized it with minimal to no pain. He also removed a mole on my back to be tested and that was also quick and painless after lidocaine. He also answered questions and did a thorough exam and definitely cares about patients skin related concerns. Highly recommend this practice.
