If the owners of this practice want it to survive then they need to remove the horrible Practice Manager Sarah Domer. This practice has went down hill extremely fast. We have been bringing my daughter here since she was a newborn and Ashley Pondo and Lauren Kessler have been great. Today we arrived 10 minutes late to the appointment because we drive from Harper's Ferrhere. They refused to see my daughter and cancelled the appointment because they now do not see you if you are over 5 minutes late. The worst part is the only reason we were 10 minutes late is because the road directly in front of the office is closed so we had to detour around. Pics posted in review. The Practice Manager (Sarah Domer) handles herself like a child throwing a tantrum only seeking to get her way. We will be switching providers and if you are thinking of visiting Southside please think twice because I have never seen a more mismanaged practice. EDIT: I tried to post in their Facebook and they just decided to block my profile so I can not comment or make people aware of their practice. It's also very sad that the Owner Christa Martin literally has to post her own review on Google because she can't take accountability. Also the owner Christa Martin made a Facebook video about me on the company Facebook saying I did this and I did that but she will not post any footage with audio to back up her lies. At the end of the day it's sad that an owner makes videos lying and talking bad about patients.

When you get in these large practices, I feel like really true personal caregets lost. We were so thrilled with the care that we received for our son that my husband and I both have switched to Southside adult care for our own physicians!

We called the office SIX (6) times over the course of several months after the visit-- we were continually told NOT to pay it by the office staff b/c it would be more difficult to correct the mistake if we did-- all the while we awaited the callback from the office manager-- but it never came. Finally, we received a notice that our bill had been sent to collections, how nice! So we left the office manager FIVE (5) separate messages over the course of weeks after the notice, NEVER received a call back. We were in the office for a visit after this, asked if we could directly speak with the office manager, we were told that probably wouldn't be a problem, so we waited with our infant child, and were told a short while later that the manager would not come see us. We still haven't been able to speak with anyone. Extremely rude and disrespectful. Second, the facility is beautiful at first glance, but very poorly designed when you dig in. It basically makes you feel like you're part of the herd of cattle, like where's my barcode? You go in, go to the counter, and they tell you which waiting room bay to go wait in, A, B, C D... etc. Extremely impersonal. On top of that, there is no separation between healthy and sick patients. Finally, I see that most of the other poor reviews get responses from Meritus saying that they're sorry to hear of the disappointment-- well, Meritus, please save your apologies, you wouldn't be apologizing if you were capable of returning a simple phone call. Even if we were wrong in our assessment of the situation, we still could have been placated with a simple phone conversation.
