Today I sent in a refill request through MyChart as I sit in an urgent care waiting room where I am paying a $40 copay to get 3 pills to get me through my work trip this week as I am having side effects of not taking it for 3 days now. This is the second time within the past year I have encountered a non-response or over 1 week delay in refilling my medication (I only take 1). Due to the delay in care, the non-response, and poor communication- I am changing PCPs after 5 years with them as there has been a trending decline in their care.

The receptionist informed me that there would be a delay. Over the next hour, I checked a few times for an update on when I would be seen. I received no clear response. At 12:06, approximately 1.5 hours after my arrival, I went to the receptionist desk to check "what's going on". There was no receptionist -- she had put up a sign saying she was at lunch and would not be back until 12:45. There was nobody in the exterior office. I went through the inner doors to see if anyone else could help me or could explain what's going on. I stopped in two offices -- while they were not with patients - they're response was "you are not supposed to be back here". After waiting for 1.5 hours - without any clear communications - as to when I would be seen, I had to leave.
