Dr. Muniz is very caring and smart. He is everything you hope for in a doctor. My problems are…read moredefinitely not with him, but the poor organization of the practice. Let me start by saying that in Frederick, this was the first practice that would even consider seeing me after calling everyone I could to try and continue my immunotherapy that I have been getting for 8 years in two different cities. I was told that "we don't do that" by two other doctors. After waiting a month and a half for the first available appointment, I came into the office. The office is dark and depressing. I met with Dr. Muniz who seemed perfectly willing to give me my shots after getting my records from another office. However, as I left I was slightly concerned when he said "if you haven't heard from us in a month, give us a call." The front desk lady then asked for the mailing address of my old doctor to get my records. I gave them a fax number, phone number, address, and signed forms that they required. One month later, I call to see how things were going. The person who took my call was either in a bad mood or something, asked what I meant by "things" and reprimanded me for telling her the name I have gone by my entire life instead of my legal first name, both of which should have been in my file. Many of my doctors are able to find my file with both names. Then she asked if I wanted to start shots -- the entire reason I came in in the first place. I am now confused as to why I had to go into the appointment in the first place. They said they would "send me a packet" which I guess meant by mail because they are about 20 years behind in terms of technology and then I could make an appointment. Just looking for some decent medical care in Frederick and was again disappointed. This practice was confusing, disorganized, and moved painfully slowly to get something VERY commonplace and easy to do. I have never had so much difficulty with getting medical care. I never received a packet, only a bill. Needless to say - I will not be getting my shots here.

I suffer with major headache, headaches, ear aches, and major sinus issues. I sat there, totally disappointed in her diagnosis, and she questioned my silence, and I told her that I felt there was more to my problem. I had a deviated septum that I was struggling with, she then stated that the surgery would be expensive and she didn't think my insurance company would cover what I needed. Instead of letting me determine what I was capable of paying for. I have the best insurance you could possibly have. I have no out-of-pocket and they have covered everything in my life. you go onto Zocdoc in which this is where my appointment was made they give you only a day or two to give a review after you make an appointment and you haven't even seen the doctor. This is why the reviews look so good on that website, I feel that the reviews are exactly perfect on Yelp. She then scheduled me bloodwork. The bloodwork was 15 tests and none of them associated with the sinuses. Some of them were insulting.. I do not recommend going to this establishment and especially seeing Tiffany Whitehead. Obviously she is out for the money and that is it not to help people. Needless to say I am going elsewhere and am being treated better.

She also discovered by eustachian tube dysfunction as the reason I get so many infections. She recommended a sinus balloon dilation. I had it this week and though the team was the best! They called to check in after and even let me come in today when the congestion got too bad. They cleared that up nicely too. I can't say enough good things about this practice and will go to them for all my ENT needs.

Review for Dr. Neil Waravdekar at Frederick Medical & Pulmonary Associates…read moreDate of Visit: September 29, 2025 Rating: 1 out of 5 Stars (Abysmal and Unethical) My experience with Dr. Neil Waravdekar at Frederick Medical & Pulmonary Associates was not only a complete waste of my time and resources but also unveiled what I believe to be a serious case of fraudulent medical record-keeping aimed at inflating charges. I urge all potential patients to be extremely cautious. Fabricated Medical Records and Misrepresentation of Care The Progress Note documented after my visit is a deliberate fabrication that fails to accurately reflect the brief, negligent encounter I had with the doctor. False Physical Examination: The record falsely states that Dr. Waravdekar performed a "comprehensive body examination." This is unequivocally untrue. The doctor performed only a brief cardiac and pulmonary (heart and lungs) check. No other body system was evaluated, making the documented exam a severe and unethical misrepresentation of the clinical service provided. Irresponsible Psychological Diagnosis: The documentation under "Psychological Evaluation" is medically negligent and appalling. After a mere five-minute encounter, Dr. Waravdekar concluded that I "do not have depression or anxiety." This conclusion is completely invalid given my history: I have been under the continuous, long-standing care of a psychiatrist and a therapist for the past seven years, with twice-weekly sessions. The attempt to rule out serious, chronic mental health conditions in such a cursory and unfounded manner is deeply troubling and appears to be manufactured solely to justify a more complex and expensive billing code (likely submitted to Medicare). Unacceptable Lack of Service and Professionalism I scheduled this appointment specifically for severe insomnia. I explicitly informed the front desk staff that I needed treatment for persistent sleep issues and already possessed a CPAP machine, making the reason for my visit clear. Despite this, within five minutes of speaking with Dr. Waravdekar, he dismissed me, stating he could not help and that he "only deals with CPAP issues," instructing me to see a specialist. This suggests gross incompetence by the office staff, who failed to properly triage my stated needs to align with the physician's admitted scope of practice, resulting in a wasted appointment and unwarranted billing. Lack of Accountability and Failure to Correct Records I formally requested the immediate and complete correction of this fraudulent progress note within seven business days of my visit. The practice has failed to comply. Furthermore, on October 13, 2025, I called the practice and spoke with the Office Manager, Kim, who provided an alarming response. She stated that "no one in the practice has an oversight of Doctor Neil, as they own the business." This statement demonstrates a shocking lack of accountability and suggests that Dr. Waravdekar operates without supervision, facilitating the creation of fraudulent medical records with impunity. Next Steps Due to the practice's failure to correct the fraudulent medical record, and the admission that they lack oversight of the physician, I am proceeding with my promised actions. I will not pay the bill for this negligent visit. I am reporting the false diagnosis and the entire fabricated report--which I view as a blatant and likely widespread scheme to fraudulently inflate charges to Medicare--to both the Medicare Anti-Fraud Unit and the State Medical Board. I encourage anyone who has experienced similar issues with Dr. Waravdekar or this practice to come forward. Future patients deserve to be warned about this unacceptable standard of care and deceptive billing practice.

I have been receiving…read moreallergy shots for 8 years in Denver and Richmond, but for some reason getting them here has been next to impossible. I was able to schedule my first appointment online, which is very convenient. Dr. Khan is very nice and knowledgeable. However, my complaints lay with the administration. They were slightly rude during my first appointment, and I waited for over an hour after I arrived to see the doctor. My appointment was at 2 and did not meet the doctor until 3:15. When all was done, and I was able to start my shots, they informed me I would be called when my serums were ready. Three weeks later, I receive a hefty bill but no call. I called to see if my serums were ready (they were) and they tried to rush me off the phone before telling me the next steps. What are the shot hours? What is the shot policy? How frequently would I be getting shots? None of this information was given to me readily, and none of it can be found on their website either. When I arrived for my first shot, I was stared at blankly when asked what to do. I received no more information, printed or verbal, about my shots. I am literally a patient here as a result of no other doctor in the area being willing to help me, and probably would not come back if I had any other options. Good luck to anyone needing allergy care in Frederick, Maryland.

Unprofessional…read more First appointment I scheduled online for 430PM through their online system about 1.5 weeks out. I was called the day before the appointment that they are actually closed at 430PM and that I need to reschedule for an earlier time, specifically because they typically need additional time to get information from patient as well as possibility of conducting allergy tests. If 430 was an issue, why wasnt this addressed a week earlier? OK, no problem. I scheduled for 330PM and arrive promptly at 315PM. Patient paperwork done by 325PM. Didnt get into a patient room until 355PM. Didnt see doctor until 435PM. WTF? Are you kidding me? You rescheduled me for an hour earlier only to see me at the time I requested anyway? I see the doctor and she tells me that I should try Allegra and some antihistamine eyedrops and nasal spray being that the other medications I used previously from my other allergist didnt seem to be working any longer. She tells me to check back in a month. Okay no problem. I schedule an appoint for 4PM a month out. Month comes around and I arrive and sign in at 350PM and there is only one other patient in the office. Okay cool, maybe Ill get seen quickly since its a follow up and its to decide what path we are going to take moving forward with my allergies. WRONG. I waited until 450PM to pop my head out of the patient room that they had placed me in at 405PM and tell the staff that the wait time is ridiculous. It looked like they honestly forgot that I was there, because another patient was waiting to check out and the lights appeared to have been turned off in the hallway. I asked for my copay back which they promptly gave me and informed them that I wasnt coming back. They tried to apologize but seriously, an apology isnt what I wanted or needed. What needs to be done is appropriate time management for the doctor and staff because they clearly need to be addressed. So two appointments within a month of each other with no results. Do not recommend. Time to try another.
