Let me start by saying that in Frederick, this was the first practice that would even consider seeing me after calling everyone I could to try and continue my immunotherapy that I have been getting for 8 years in two different cities. I was told that "we don't do that" by two other doctors. After waiting a month and a half for the first available appointment, I came into the office. The office is dark and depressing. I met with Dr. Muniz who seemed perfectly willing to give me my shots after getting my records from another office. However, as I left I was slightly concerned when he said "if you haven't heard from us in a month, give us a call." The front desk lady then asked for the mailing address of my old doctor to get my records. I gave them a fax number, phone number, address, and signed forms that they required. One month later, I call to see how things were going. The person who took my call was either in a bad mood or something, asked what I meant by "things" and reprimanded me for telling her the name I have gone by my entire life instead of my legal first name, both of which should have been in my file. Many of my doctors are able to find my file with both names. Then she asked if I wanted to start shots -- the entire reason I came in in the first place. I am now confused as to why I had to go into the appointment in the first place. They said they would "send me a packet" which I guess meant by mail because they are about 20 years behind in terms of technology and then I could make an appointment. Just looking for some decent medical care in Frederick and was again disappointed. This practice was confusing, disorganized, and moved painfully slowly to get something VERY commonplace and easy to do. I have never had so much difficulty with getting medical care. I never received a packet, only a bill. Needless to say - I will not be getting my shots here.

Not only was I incorrectly scheduled on a day reserved for laser surgery (I was having standard surgery), but my lens selection was wrongly noted. Thank goodness we went over the procedure before a surgical mistake was made. Then there is the billing Assistant who works from home but confessed she did not know how to use the 'work' phone purchased for her; especially troublesome since work-at-home requires communication with the outside world. Then I noticed while on the Patient Portal, my husband was not listed as the designee for life/death decisions; instead another patient (including phone number) was listed. When I called him, he was surprised/amazed....never heard of me, let alone knew he would be required to make such decisions on my behalf. As I said before, Dr. Thadani is a competent and personable surgeon, but if you choose this practice for service, make sure they dot all the i's and cross all the t's. TL;DR version -- avoid Dr. Andrew Jones at this practice…read more I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother, who was treated by nurse practitioners and PA's in this office for 8 years but earlier this year after the treatment she had received prior no longer worked and she had extreme pain, she was advised to see a doctor. I will start by saying my father has also seen Dr. Jones a few times and actually had him perform a total right knee replacement earlier this year and has had a full recovery. Outside of Jones being illusive in answering the question on when my dad could begin driving again in a post-op visit, he had a mostly positive experience with him. But after the experience my mom had, he's considering leaving Jones' care as well. At her first visit with Jones, he diagnosed her hip condition advised PT and exercise. She went to PT and as they started to work with her, she again experienced severe pain and the PT advised an MRI and to have someone with an unbiased opinion review as she didn't think the pain was in her hip but in her back. My mom did as she suggested and had Dr. Matthews (in this practice) review the MRI who diagnosed her with a few back problems and advised that she see a pain specialist. My mom scheduled the earliest available appointment, 2+ months later. She scheduled another appt. with Jones to discuss her pain in the interim. My mom went in and asked the simple question, "is the pain being caused by my hip or my back?" Well, it seems as though other medical professionals providing second opinions on patient care rubs this guy the wrong way. He was incredibly unprofessional, going on a tirade about the opioid epidemic in this country and essentially acused my mom of being a pill seeker. My mother can barely walk up the stairs and struggles sleeping through the night, I assure you she's simply seeking relief from her daily pain and to sleep better. He also demanded that she go sit in her PCP's office until they gave her sleeping pills (after this, she consulted with them and they told her it was Jones who had to manage the pain). My mother walked out in the midst of her appointment in tears and is now seeing a doctor outside of Frederick who is actively working with her to manage her pain and determining next steps in her treatment.
