The first thing I notice from the bad reviews is that no one lives in Frederick- some of them not…read moreeven in the state- which is soooo fishy to me. The next thing is that if you have ever been to see Dr. Jackson you'll know this whole "he doesn't care" thing is not true. I went in a few weeks ago after my 3rd sinus infections in 3 months. My family doctor just kept giving me new antibiotics which would clear it up, but I wanted to figure out WHY they kept happening. Dr. Jackson spent a lot of time with me and, what really touched me, is that he didn't allow me to blow off my symptoms on being a new mom. He made sure I knew that just because I had a new baby didn't mean I should feel like garbage all the time. He ordered several tests and I'm now just waiting for my follow up appointment with him. Dr. Jackson came *highly* recommended by no less than a dozen local friends, who all adored him and spoke so highly of him. I have to say I agree with them. He's been wonderful so far, and his office is easy to get ahold of and schedule appointments, etc. I truly think these one-star reviews are fake.

I called…read morethe office on 3/18 and 3/19 and left messages with no response although the voicemail promises a response within 24 hours. Today I sent in a refill request through MyChart as I sit in an urgent care waiting room where I am paying a $40 copay to get 3 pills to get me through my work trip this week as I am having side effects of not taking it for 3 days now. This is the second time within the past year I have encountered a non-response or over 1 week delay in refilling my medication (I only take 1). Due to the delay in care, the non-response, and poor communication- I am changing PCPs after 5 years with them as there has been a trending decline in their care.

TL;DR version -- avoid Dr. Andrew Jones at this practice…read more I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother, who was treated by nurse practitioners and PA's in this office for 8 years but earlier this year after the treatment she had received prior no longer worked and she had extreme pain, she was advised to see a doctor. I will start by saying my father has also seen Dr. Jones a few times and actually had him perform a total right knee replacement earlier this year and has had a full recovery. Outside of Jones being illusive in answering the question on when my dad could begin driving again in a post-op visit, he had a mostly positive experience with him. But after the experience my mom had, he's considering leaving Jones' care as well. At her first visit with Jones, he diagnosed her hip condition advised PT and exercise. She went to PT and as they started to work with her, she again experienced severe pain and the PT advised an MRI and to have someone with an unbiased opinion review as she didn't think the pain was in her hip but in her back. My mom did as she suggested and had Dr. Matthews (in this practice) review the MRI who diagnosed her with a few back problems and advised that she see a pain specialist. My mom scheduled the earliest available appointment, 2+ months later. She scheduled another appt. with Jones to discuss her pain in the interim. My mom went in and asked the simple question, "is the pain being caused by my hip or my back?" Well, it seems as though other medical professionals providing second opinions on patient care rubs this guy the wrong way. He was incredibly unprofessional, going on a tirade about the opioid epidemic in this country and essentially acused my mom of being a pill seeker. My mother can barely walk up the stairs and struggles sleeping through the night, I assure you she's simply seeking relief from her daily pain and to sleep better. He also demanded that she go sit in her PCP's office until they gave her sleeping pills (after this, she consulted with them and they told her it was Jones who had to manage the pain). My mother walked out in the midst of her appointment in tears and is now seeing a doctor outside of Frederick who is actively working with her to manage her pain and determining next steps in her treatment.
