First time going to this store today. Found a few things but not excited about pricing. They had a good selection but felt some of the prices were no lower than getting the item from a major retailer. The young lady that helped me at the cashier checkout was very nice and accommodating very friendly as well. read more

This is my go to store when shopping for a kids or baby's gift. Their clearance section is really a great value. They have a big tent they put out around thanksgiving that's also really good. Sometimes they have really good sales too. Specially around holidays. I'm still a little iffy about the way they remodeled but I guess I have to get used to it. I think it was better the way it was before. Not crazy about the staff but they're not rude either. read more

Very disappointing egg hunt experience at Mattel!!! Waited a long time outside for them to open at 10am. Got in and there were no eggs left!!!!!!!!! Because kids/parents ahead of us had them all in their baskets already! We wasted 30min looking for eggs inside the store to only be disappointed and frustrated! Luckily, there was this one little boy that shared one of this two eggs to Seth because he saw how vividly upset Seth was!!! As you can see in the photo, Sethie was so happy with even just one egg! Meanwhile, there were other selfish and greedy people there with at least a dozen if not more in there baskets jumping up and down the store while other kids have none!!! Good job parents for teaching your kids to be selfish and greedy!!! And thank you Mattel for being so mean to not have rules about limiting the number of eggs a child can have so there are enough for everyone. It was heartbreaking to see the faces of those kids with none!!!! They came in there happy, smiling and excited and they got out just plain sad. So Mattel, from my 5 year old....YOU ARE ALL BUTTHOLES!!! read more

What a joke! I'm clueless how folk can give this place a positive review. Your local Wal-Mart has a much better selection. You won't save any money here over any other toy stores. And it's a friggin' toy store, so often enough one brings children, right? No public bathrooms! And the staff isn't so good w knowing their stock either. Avoid this place like the plague! Heed my review! read more

Great prices when on sale. Fun to seE variety of merchandise. Many new games like Pictionary Air that employ new technology .

Toys are great.......prices are awesome......customer service needs some attention. I guess they figured since i am a minority that i wasn't going to spend. read more

Cool first experience going there. Got a hat and a water bottle. Very nice and clean and wasn't full with customers. Totally hair Barbie for $24 blonde one. Can't beat it read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. Sometimes this have additional sales on their clearance and it's great! Other times, their regular merchandise I feel is overpriced and slightly overinflated due to the fact that there is a corporate discount available. Inventory wise, there's a good mix of baby toys and children's toys, as well as baby equipment. Ok store if you can find deep discounts here, if you get lucky... read more

Don't let the overweight dishwater blonde Danielle ring you up: she will get everything wrong. I had to drive all the way back on a Saturday and waste an hour and a half to get a price adjustment. Other than that, the place is great. Good deals--when they show up at the cash register. read more

Meh...I expected the company store at Mattel HQ to have the latest Hot Wheels and Matchbox releases, especially the special editions and premium models but instead they had the same peg warmers you find at a Target and some really old castings. It's sad that I can find the new releases at a collectibles swap meet but not at the Mattel store...disappointing... read more

The selection is excellent and you can find some really good deals here. Parking can be difficult during midday so try to go early or nearer to closing. read more

I been going to the El Segundo store for the last 20 years to buy Xmas and birthday gifts spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars but today was my last day buying any Mattel product. I went today for a gift for my grandson and manager Ismail called the police on all my family because he said I was steeling. Police came over and asked us questions and said am sorry but manager called us because he thought we were stilling. So a call out to all my Latino ppl and African Americans don't go to this location because they treat minority's like thief's. read more

Went here yesterday. Every regular price item is 10% off. Some items are 50-75% off. Great place to go and buy a few toys. I saved $70 shopping here. I'm going to try and make it on Saturdays I was informed the door busters are great. read more

I gave 3 stars because the prices are little high. They have the tent towards the back where you can save a bit. I purchased Barbie dolls for $3.99 and $4.99 now you can sometimes find $5 Barbie's on Amazon or in Walmart but since its Christmas they might be sold out so it would be worth it if you are close by. To save you really have to go to the tent and sign up for their award program which is free and to get the discount. I work around the corner so its no extra driving but I would not drive any further for the discount. read more

We came in at the right time I guess, I was looking for hot wheels, and they had a huge selection of current models on sale for 69 cents each, in oppose to 94 cents at walmart, that being said, had i not come in at a good time, they would've been 1.09$ each, you would think buying direct from the cooperate headquarters would be cheaper ALL the time, but anyways, they had sales throughout the store, not really good deals though, for instance, extra ammos for a toy gun would be on sale, but the actual gun would be regular prices, that's the catch, place is small, like the size of a dollar tree, i was expecting a toys r us when i walked in, but overall a good experience, staff was friendly and place is clean read more

I can't say anything bad about this place! Super helpful staff a girl named Liz and Rosie took the extra time to ask me what I am looking for, gave me a 5$ coupon and are extremely patient showing you all you need. read more

Really good customer service!! Thank you karla for your help.

Love Mattel Toy Store! Usually get gifts here for the kids in the family, especially my niece and nephew! They have a good collection of Hot Wheels items and Barbie, Fisher Price as well. Prices aren't too bad either especially if you know someone who works here!! read more

i found this store to be amazing and located at Mattel headquarters in LA area. I was impressed by how clean the store was and how helpful the staff was. Pricing about the same as stores, but i understand why they have to do such. read more

Great way to save on new dolls or games. We are here often because my daughter participates in Play Tests for Mattel. This store is a hidden gem. read more

Today was my first time at Mattel Toy Store, when I first walked it I was greeted but didn't feel too welcomed. I walked to the boys section and started looking for a gift for my sons 5th birthday today. I noticed an employee looking at me and I turned and smiled at her. She walked up to me so I asked if they had Forkie from toy story 4 but they didn't so I proceeded to walk to the girls section not even 15 minutes of being in the store the employee asked me if I was finished and if I was ready to check out I looked at her and said no I just got here. I kept going on with my business and was looking for toys to BUY for my son. The whole time I was there the employee followed me as if I was doing something wrong I felt very uncomfortable and it really bothered me so I grabbed whatever was in front of me and just went to pay. This wasn't right at all. I'm still very bothered!!! I think the cashier notice because at the end of my purchase they were being extra nice. This was not what i was expecting at a toy store. There were other customers shopping but I was the only one being followed!!! read more

It's nice if your in the area looking for some toys. But they dont have many sales like the old stores before they closed down.

Great products and customer service. Love the convince of finding items hard to find elsewhere in an actual store.

This place is a fun day field trip. They have free parking behind the store in a parking structure or also out front. The staff is very nice and they have great deals on toys for kids and adults. You can also save with a saver card or sign up via text for text alerts on sales. I would recommend this store to collectors and people buying gifts for kids. read more

Fun experience, great staff. Had every Barbie I could think of . Worth the drive. I found some dolls I had been looking for & some I wasn't . Staff was very helpful, friendly, & kind . read more

Off the beaten path -- but we were looking for it since our 2 year old is a Hot Wheels aficionado. Parking was scarce, but I get the sense that the store is aimed at Mattel employees rather than Mattel fans on vacation. That said, much of the inventory was at normal toy store/Target prices, but we walked out with some spectacular deals. We spent about $95 and bought 6 Hot Wheels playsets ($20-$25 retail), two Windsurf Barbies, two Horseback Barbies (est $25), 45' of Hot Wheels track, two Planes die-cast characters, two Fisher Price Little People cars, and 4 Hot Wheels cars. We (especially the kids) were happy with our haul. Why not 5 stars? Well, parking, and if we had been looking for specific items (i.e. Dinoco blue Lightning McQueen) we would've been disappointed. read more

Holidays are coming...not to mention rounds of birthday parties. Monster High, Barbie, baby items, Matchbox- there are rotating sales up to 70% off. I go a couple time a year and stock up. Sign up for alerts to get inside extra deals. Gift wrap, cards and bags too! I'll never buy retail prices again. read more

This is a great store, it has a little bit of everything ! It has toys for girls & boys of all ages, as well as toys for Adult Collectors ! The prices are incredible, selection is vast, you shouldn't have any problem finding what you need there ? Also, Customer service is excellent, I would personally like to commend one specific individual his name is (Frank Valadez) ! He went out of his way to make sure Dec 23 that I had every toy I was looking for as Christmas Gifts ! He also explained how each toy works, gave advice on what toys are appropriate for what ages, & made me aware of all sales taking place at that time ! He made my experience very pleasurable, quick & easy ! Because of his incredible Customer Service I am a Customer for life, & will refer others who need to find toys at the best prices, with excellent customer service ! read more

used to have great prices and sales in the past years...now its cheaper to go to walmart or toys r us. Only worth the trip if you have a 50% off coupon which they have gotten very stingy with in the last year. read more

Great place to get extreme discounts on mattel toys...the selection can be poor though.

Me and my wife went here last week and oh boy!! , we were surprised on how much money we saved. If you just keep on looking around, you'll find toys with a very cheap price. If you are a little short on your X'mass budget and want to save some money, This is a place to go to. You'll find some great deals on sale for a great toys. read more

Place is hidden away next to a Double Tree hotel, with office buildings all around. Small place but they do have great deals for people that work or live in the El Segundo area. Even if you don't work or live here you get great deals on Mattel toys. If you do, however, you get an extra discount on top of their already low prices. Doesn't get any better than that. read more

great place to pickup toys for kids or young adults.

One of the best places to shop, I check here first! Random amazing deals! The tent during holiday is of course a way larger section and they add stuff everyday so even if you go to the event the end of the weeks the deals are still out of control! I usually only need to go here to get gifts for my 2 kids, nieces and nephews! read more

Yea that Chris worker guy isn't the best :) but there's parking in the back :).
