    Bacon smash with Matt's poutine
    Mike T.

You enter at street level then it's up a short flight of stairs to order. After you order you grab a table and they bring the food out to you. I was famished so I ordered the triple smash with a grilled hot dog on the side. 6 nuggets and habanero sauce on the side. The bun was soft, the smash patties were crispy and seasoned well. The habanero sauce had a nice spicy kick. Unfortunately the nuggets were trash. White spongy meat and not a spec of seasoning. I ordered a hotdog on the side. Good flavor but a weird texture. My son had the bacon smash and poutine but we got the Matt's poutine. He was happy with both. Overall a solid meal and I would return again but hard pass on the nugs.

Yummy smash burgers located in parkdale! We came on a weekday night and it was pretty empty, plenty of seats. The burgers were huge with onion rings inside. It was juicy and delicious, exactly what you want in a burger. The fries were also done so well, I would go back just for those!! Everything was so tasty but the Oreo milkshake was the star of the meal. Thick and not too sweet , just the right amount of cookie bits!

Inside stairs to get to the takeout counter

Decent Smash Burgers, greasy but good! We got takeout and added a slice of marble cheese from our fridge. If you're able to pick up in person, be on the lookout for their sign outside $11.90 for burger, fries and drink is a better deal than picking up through Ritual. The shop is currently set up as a takeout operation despite having space for indoor seating. Prepare to go up a flight of steps to grab your takeout from the counter. Not very easy to stop your car in front of the shop, but you should be able to find some temp parking behind in an alley. We also tried a box of their poutine and something was off. The poutine fries were packed too tightly and were just soggy and greasy. I usually don't mind soggy poutines but something is off about the taste. So I wouldn't recommend that for takeout. Sometimes we still could feel hungry after a Smash burger but we both were left full after 2 smash burgers and most of the poutine still leftover.

Located in the Queen West area of downtown Toronto, Matt's Burger Lab offers giant Halal burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, loaded poutines and more. We decided to get: Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich DNA Burger Radiation Burger Karma Chicken Burger All the burgers are beastly, even the Chicken Burgers. And for sides there are fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. When I say the burgers are beastly, its almost impossible to fit all the layers in your mouth at once. This can be a great thing for take-aways, but if you want to take on everything in one sitting be prepared to eat alot!

Turkish owned. 100% halal. I had the bacon onion rings smash which I really enjoyed. The only thing is the beef bacon was a little bit tough by nature of the fact that it's think strip of beef so it was hard to tear it with your teeth while you're eating the rest of the tender Burger. Next time I might pull it out and eat it separately. I would recommend this burger. The poutine fries were a little bit bitter due to the potato skin still being on it. So that made it slightly unenjoyable. I wouldn't recommend it personally unless you like that bitter earthy taste in homemade fries. At the time they had a deal with the poutine and drink so I was happy to save a couple dollars there. My friend had the chicken tenders and remarked that it was so soft and that it "melted in her mouth". So the only thing is that the cash register is up a flight of stairs and the bathroom is down a flight of stairs, and small. This makes parts of this place inaccessible to people with wheelchairs or walkers and other assistive devices. I'm not sure if they are able to take your order and use a wireless payment machine. But you're out of luck when it comes to the down-the-stairs, small single person washroom for sure. Some street parking is available but limited. I am craving the burger and I hope to return soon. The staff were super nice.

Okay, this was a treat! I had Bacon Cheese Smash with a side of onion rings. The burger was a perfectly seasoned burger topped with caramelised onions, pickles , and their lab sauce (awesome). The onion rings were perfectly crunchy but not overdone. To be honest, I couldn't think of anything negative about this meal. I highly recommend Matt's BurgerLab, and I will be back again.

Smash burger double patty with cheese

We ordered the beef smash burger with double patties and cheese. patties were super juicy, brioche was was perfectly toasted yet still soft- perfect. chicken tenders were also juicy and came with a massive load of fries good for three already. the strawberry milkshake was too thick and sweet for me. overall, loved the food, resto was clean and service was.

Everything is always tasty. A lil pricey but good portions of good food. And it's halal for all the Muslims out there!

I wasn't even planning to pop into Shake Shack but a sign advertising their Korean-inspired menu…read moredrew me in like a bear to honey. Everything sounded appetizing but I finally opted for the K-Shack Fried Chicken Sandwich ("Antibiotic-free, hand-breaded whole white-meat chicken breast glazed in spicy-sweet sesame gochujang, topped with fresh scallions and kimchi slaw made with Choi's Kimchi, served on a toasted potato bun"). The ordering process at this location couldn't be easier: you enter what you want at the kiosk, pay, and then wait. It only took a few minutes before my sandwich was ready. And it's a good sandwich. Those Korean flavors really shine through, and that coleslaw cuts the heavy sauce quite nicely. The chicken itself was on the extremely dry side but otherwise I really enjoyed this concoction. The seating upstairs and downstairs meant it was easy enough to grab a table, too. It's a solid fast-food joint.

This may be toted as just another burger place spot but it is far from your average joint…read more I had lunch here recently and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The service was friendly and patient as I was greeted upon entry and took my time perusing the menu. The restaurant was very clean and organized, not a lot of stuff on the walls and the bathrooms were in top shape which I appreciated. I ordered the classic double burger, with a side a fries and a cane cola. The burger was delicious! Toppings were fresh and tasty, and it made a mess with the sauces and condiments which is a sign of a great burger. It wasn't overly huge, a good size for my hands and they did get messy as I devoured this scrumptious burger. The Cane Cola was a nice accompaniment to try for the first time but not necessary to enjoy the burger. The fries were golden and crispy and quite a large portion for the price. I just wished the fry lengths were a bit longer as I received a lot of tiny pieces instead of longer potatoes which meant I was scooping them up in my hand to eat them. Not a dealbreaker, just an annoyance. The wait for the food wasn't very long, about 5-8 minutes and they brought the order to the table. I really enjoyed the burger and fries making this NOT just another burger spot but MTTBS = Must try this burger spot!

Saw this burger joint every time I take the 512 west and thought I'd check it out one of these…read moredays. Went on Monday afternoon as I was on my regular driving route and ordered the crispy chicken burger. It came out looking smashing as they use a complete chicken breast, really juicy and the taste is pretty good other than it was a bit salty. The only gripe I had was the shoestring fries, I would have much preferred fresh straight cut fries.
