We were the only ones there at the time. The staff did not seem to want to be there and after my sister and I ordered, one of the two employees just went on break. So it took a fair amount of time to get our food. Staff wasn't rude but definitely didn't go out of their way to be friendly. The food: The waffle bites, Nutella crepe, and fruit salad were all tasty! Note: the longer you wait to eat, the chocolate solidifies! By the end we were just scraping the chocolate off the plates. The chocolate was very tasty!! The prices are a bit ridiculous in my opinion. It's delicious no doubt. But the service needs an upgrade and the prices need to be dropped a little.

It was also smothered in sauce. Lots of sugar, so I'm glad we shared one and so is my wallet. It did come with fruit more than I expected based on the listing on the menu. It was a pretty good size so that was good but I got to say spending $20 on a single crêpe felt way overpriced. I was expecting somewhere in the $12-$13 range. I would definitely say it's overpriced. The interior was pretty nice and clean self service as far as putting away your own tray and garbage which is no big deal. There was a couch seating area, which is pretty nice and then then the other side was more like diner tables so kind of a weird vibe inside. I don't do this often but honestly, I can't say I would recommend this place mostly just because of the price.

Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, their call to fame is that it tastes like a donut. Personally, I thought it tasted like a waffle. Each week, they change up the menu and offer different speciality flavors. This past week, they had an Apple cinnamon that was very good! I went with the Nutella one. I would not recommend it since it costs the same as their fun speciality ones and it's just melted Nutella on top. The waffles are also not very big but a great size for walking around the farmers market. I think this place is A Great option for kids to grab a quick bite. Street parking available around the Linden Hills area.

I was to scared to try the five flame waffle wrapped hot dog, so I went with the two flame. My friend had said the five flamer was almost too hot. I waited about 3 minutes for my meal and it was delicious. The spicy sauce on top mixed perfectly with the waffle and tube of meat. The lady preparing and taking the orders was super nice and she handled the line perfectly. My friends all tried other options and all said they were great! They had a bunch of waffle irons going in the background, so they could pump out orders fairly quickly, especially with only one person in the truck. The dessert options looked wonderful as well. Totally worth a try!

And if you are not in the mood for nice cream, they also have some interesting drinks you can try like bubble tea and smoothies. But try the ice cream. Wonderful savory and sweet waffle creations - 5 stars!…read more Tonight I caught up with The Bougie Waffle at Alloy Brewing in Coon Rapids. Everything looked so good, I truly had a hard time picking what I wanted. So I ended up getting 4 different items. Okay...so I ordered 2 of the signature items. First, I tried "The Sweet Chick" with a sweet potato waffle, fried chicken, maple glaze, with spices, topped with a few sliced jalapenos. Wow - heavenly! I also ordered the signature "SMACKaroni" mac & cheese creation with several cheeses including Gouda. Again, a home run. Both of these dishes were a smaller size so they came together in one clamshell box. The mac & cheese functioned more as a yummy savory side. It was perfect. I was so delighted with the flavors, I went back and I ordered 2 more foods to take home. I got the savory "Chicken Dumplin" waffle, topped off with diced scallions. It came with a side of fried rice. And last but not least, I went with a super sweet selection, "Nana's Puddin" waffle with sliced bananas, nilla wafer cookies, caramel, and whipped cream - Ya' Man! Every bite was excellent. If you look closely at the waffles, they're more than just standard waffles. I noticed lots of detailed little ingredients and spices. They're definitely unique and the flavors are nice and balanced, not overpowering. I don't hand out many 5 star reviews but The Bougie Waffle definitely earns it! I love, love, love the food. And I really enjoyed chatting with the owner. She was very nice and cheery, despite the chilly temps and the windy fall night. Burrr!!! According to the owner, she recently moved up from a small vendor cart to a fully outfitted food trailer. I wish them many years of success. Thumbs up! -Maxx

There is plenty of parking in the mall's lot. There is handicap parking, but it is in front of the next store down. There are a couple of picnic tables outside, as well as a couple tables. The tables are pretty close to the drive-through so if that will annoy you, avoid them. Inside is bright and cheerful, good space with plenty of tables for a crowd. A few of the tables seemed to be a little closer to each other than they needed to be, but they were fine. When we first decided to go here, we thought it was a small, independent store, but it is a franchise. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. There are two all gender bathrooms, cute art, and merch that includes bags of their coffee. My husband had the breakfast burrito and gave it a 7 out of 10. Apparently on the website it said it came with cream cheese, but that is an error because it did come with sour cream. He said it was good, not super fancy. It was cooked in a waffle iron so it was nice and hot. In fact I think everything here is cooked in a waffle iron. He also had a mocha which was very good and chocolatey. I had Nana's cinnamon rolls (also cooked in a waffle iron. They come either with two or with four. They are fairly small so I went with four, which ended up being about one more than I could eat.. They were good. There was a good amount of cinnamon, which is important to me, and the frosting was good. They were sweet, but not overly so. They were not very gooey, but they were good so that didn't matter. I had the "Cha Cha Latte". Which was very good. We will be back.

We opted for two of their signature drinks. They were good, a bit in the sweet side. They seem known for their mini cinnamon rolls which looked good but also very gooey and likely very sweet as well. They did have other breakfast options that looked good. It seemed it was more than a coffee shop but not quite a full meal spot if that makes sense. It's in a strip mall so plenty of parking and they recently put in a small patio which will be good come warmer weather. If I lived closer or am in the area I'd probably try again but likely won't go out of my way for a repeat visit.

Cheese curds- Some of the best cheese-curds I have ever had! The cheese was delicious and the way they batter them, oh boy!! Crunchy and consistent with each bite! I also loved how the cheese was actually the kind of cheese you can pull, check the pic haha. Although I am not a local and some might feel my scale for "good cheese curds" maybe skewed, this fat boy sure knows food! Food you can have fun with? Yes! 4 piece broasted chicken meal- Boy was I amazed by this broasted chicken! The skin was light, yet crispy. Normally I like a thick breaded fried chicken, but I was blown away with this. Although this was thinly coated, it had a consistent and satisfying crunch and crisp to it. The seasonings were on point and flavorful. The chicken meat? My gosh it was juicy! So juicy that it put dirty thoughts in my head with each bite kind of juicy. The mashed potatoes were definitely made from scratch. It had that home style chunk and creamy consistency one can appreciate with proper mashed potatoes. Last but not least, the gravy! The scratch made gravy paired with the chicken and mashed potatoes so well. Normally I like to enjoy my chicken with some hot sauce, but for this meal, I ate it straight up and appreciated the work put into this meal. The Caramel Pecan Sticky bun. Oh lord I just died and went to diabeetus heaven. It was unlike anything I have ever had before. They have a soft cinnamon bun, topped with a monster amount of homemade caramel sauce with some chopped pecans. I can't explain how heavenly this was. Each bite was just pure perfection! Next trip I am definitely enjoying two for myself and two more to take home haha. The service was absolutely on point. I did not get our waitresses name, but she was just absolutely a gem to deal with. Very friendly and very attentive.
