Played in November on a late Saturday morning and we're talking $33/person including the cart. I will admit that the pace of play is a bit slower. Also battled some geese along the way. There's not a lot of hazards, fairways are a bit close together so you may so people in your fairway that are on the next hole. 7 par 4s and 2 par 3s (holes 6 & 7). You can see the flag on just about every hole. I believe it is hole 2 and 9 that are the only ones where you can't see the flag. It's a city course so don't expect all the bells and whistles. Gotta give a shout out to Sal. He keeps things fun as the starter, cracked a few jokes, and will give you some pointers. Plenty of parking on the lot. There's no driving range, but there's a green for you to get some putting and chipping in.

With that said, my review focuses on the grounds of the facility and not the actual course and/or staff. My biggest reason for giving the golf course three stars was the parking lot. The gravel covered lot was absolutely horrible! It was hard to drive on and they had piles of the same gravel throughout, further limiting the already limited parking. My friend basically had to park on a gravel pile with the front of her truck partially in the street. They really should do a better job with this lot. As for the grounds, they were beautiful. The lawn was very well maintained. The grounds were free of trash or any other debris. It's is a shame that the parking lot didn't get the same care. As for the soca for breakfast event, it was wonderful. I would definitely consider coming back for other events at the golf course. Hopefully, the issues with the parking lot will be resolved before then.

But I was committed. Harry told me it was going to be uncomfortable and feel awkward. It was and I thought I was learning nothing. I stuck to the plan and 6 months later I am hitting the most beautiful draw on command. My fade (slice) is gone! I have gained 20 yards to every iron, and 30+ on my driver, from 225 yards to 260 +. The vision is that each class builds upon past lessons and also introduces you to a new skill (putting, chipping, driving etc) Enrolling during the summer definitely meant that we experienced some scorching hot temps, but surprisingly there are little pockets of shade out there that would somehow make things bearable. My instructor was Phil who I tended to vibe with (probably because I grew up with coaches and can follow instruction.) He's pretty direct and could sometimes come off a little impatient, but if you understand his personality it's harmless and actually funny. Ultimately, he wants you to learn and enjoy the game and is very supportive when he witnesses your progress. It was nice to be able to stay after lessons sometimes just to hit at the range and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. If you're on the fence about lessons, I can attest that Play DCGolf is a great place to start!

Just finished up the classes, and feel really good about the value, and the things we learned in this beginners class. My class had four students including myself, and we learned all the basics - putting, using all the clubs, the different swings, golf course etiquette, and the basics to playing a game. We had enough instruction time, and alone time to practice in our own bays. Not needing clubs was a plus, as I hadn't committed to getting some at this point. They have disinfected loaners available to you if you need. The golf course/ driving range is nice, the instructor was a great instructor, and the classes were well structured. Thinking about taking the level 2 at some point! Highly recommend.

This place sucked. Course was in ok enough shape. overpriced, but typical for the area. Played on a…read moreFriday morning and pace of play was dreadful. Had to wait at least 5 min on every tee box. Some of the par 3s was waiting 10-15 min on the tee box. The marshals out on the course were clearly clueless and rude. Around the 5th hole, our group is in the fairway, clubs in hand, waiting for the green to clear to hit approaches.... Marshal comes up and tells us we need to hurry up and we're behind pace. We chuckled and thought he was joking. Clearly he can see that people are on the green, we can't hit yet, there are people on the next tee box waiting to tee off, and a group behind us waiting to tee off. Then a few holes later after waiting 10min on the tee we hit our tee shots as soon as the fairway clears. A different marshal rolls up as we're about to ride off and gives us grief because the group in front of is near the green and we only finished teeing off. I guess he doesn't realize it only takes about 20 seconds to drive from the fairway up to the green but it does take more than 20 seconds to hit 4 tee shots. I don't think I'll be going back there for a long time. Just a crappy experience by packing in tee times too tightly and not keeping the course moving.
