Golf course seemed to have water issues and they would not refund or give credit for another day. Very disappointing!!

In my opinion this is a good course for those that are still learning to play or for those that are…read morelooking to play 9 holes and not spend a lot of money. Played in November on a late Saturday morning and we're talking $33/person including the cart. I will admit that the pace of play is a bit slower. Also battled some geese along the way. There's not a lot of hazards, fairways are a bit close together so you may so people in your fairway that are on the next hole. 7 par 4s and 2 par 3s (holes 6 & 7). You can see the flag on just about every hole. I believe it is hole 2 and 9 that are the only ones where you can't see the flag. It's a city course so don't expect all the bells and whistles. Gotta give a shout out to Sal. He keeps things fun as the starter, cracked a few jokes, and will give you some pointers. Plenty of parking on the lot. There's no driving range, but there's a green for you to get some putting and chipping in.

I visited the golf course, not to golf, but for a soca for breakfast event held on the golf course…read moregrounds. With that said, my review focuses on the grounds of the facility and not the actual course and/or staff. My biggest reason for giving the golf course three stars was the parking lot. The gravel covered lot was absolutely horrible! It was hard to drive on and they had piles of the same gravel throughout, further limiting the already limited parking. My friend basically had to park on a gravel pile with the front of her truck partially in the street. They really should do a better job with this lot. As for the grounds, they were beautiful. The lawn was very well maintained. The grounds were free of trash or any other debris. It's is a shame that the parking lot didn't get the same care. As for the soca for breakfast event, it was wonderful. I would definitely consider coming back for other events at the golf course. Hopefully, the issues with the parking lot will be resolved before then.

Stumbled on this course while biking nearby. Grateful they were open to let me go out around 4:30p…read moreish. (One Oct Sunday evening (2022))$18 to ride 9) I've only been playing about 18mths. And only played about 20 very varied courses. Each have had its own pros and cons and thus comparing would be pointless It's not Scotland nor the masters. It's slap in the middle of the city, so yes. There's traffic and cars going by and music will be heard. I think there's at least two "through ways" slap in the middle of the course (so look both ways before crossing infront of speeding vehicles). The other city course I played in Bmore is alongside a highway. I've played the President course which is alongside a military airfield..pick your poison Unlike many courses, no 9 does NOT end at the clubhouse. (They should tell you the is when you first head out) No markings "eye level" that say which Tee, but it's written on the cart path. Some Signs say "to next tee"; it would be nice for it to read the actual "next tee NUMBER" A couple of cool views from above the city, and a male deer, then an entire family of deer, almost ran me over...so there's nature too. The greens were gorgeous. Fairways could be better, could be worse. But seems like a great place to practice your game, not pay a mint, and focus on technique rather than "what you wear". I'm a 55yo female, played alone, and had no fear. I saw one person walking the course. he was Relatively young and seemingly plays there often. I am in NO SHAPE to walk this course. Seemed to be lots of hills/inclines/declines, Crossing of streets, and a couple tees were "not" right next to the prior greens. Glad I got a cart and left my push cart in the car! Because many hits were up hill, downhill, or blind...and I didn't always hit it straight down the fairway, I lost a couple of balls "in plain sight" off to the left or right Not in any woods or trees or brush.. just likely hidden under the fall leaves or deep grass. Alas. Tis part of the game No water hazards. I was not bothered by the sand. And lots of wide open space. I only got to 14 before turning in the cart by "curfew", so I'll def come back I suppose they could "pretty up" the place, but I'm sure that would mean higher prices They could re-fence all around to keep walkers from cutting across, but they've likely tried (unsuccessfully ) to thwart a kid who doesn't feel like walking a mile out his way after school to go around. Cart paths were kinda rough in spots. The carts will beep if you get too close to the greens. Clubhouse was clean and well lit. Snack bar was closed but there are QR codes on the course that says food can be delivered anywhere when ordered -will have to try that out one day I'll def be back

Note: review for Original golf course and outside food service only…read more I really enjoyed my time here playing Turf Valley Resort's Original Course. Bring very walkable with good elevation change is tough to do but it was pulled off very well here. Greens are good and tricky. I definitely want another shot at this place because I got a little greedy at times. Just a good mix of everything. There are a couple of holes where a left to right shot is mandatory from the tips, but otherwise there's a great mix of the tee in terms of shot shape needed and well placed hazards. This is a little more wide open off the tee than the other track. Lots of good people and players out here. The range for members is on top of the hill and has a bent grass level and a Bermuda grass level which is a fantastic way of having a grass range. Otherwise you are next to the parking lot hitting off mats. But this place has a good set of practice areas. The food was solid and the service was fantastic. Definitely a place I would join if it were more convenient for me. I would love to get invited back!

This weekend away was a gift for our birthdays from my MIL; a rare chance to have a peaceful weekend away from our small children. We have been looking forward to it for weeks. It started ok. Wine was brought to our room and the gentleman was very friendly. We made dinner reservations downstairs a couple of weeks ago and Morgan called and confirmed them. She was very polite. Our "sweet escape" package included dinner. The moment the waiter saw that our meal was already paid for he immediately stopped being friendly. He took my plate while I was still in the middle of eating my food and was very off putting. We don't need to be best friends, but just being polite would have been appreciated. We assumed he was upset that gratuity was included but because we ordered additional drinks, we tipped on those also. So I truly don't understand the attitude. Then our night continued down hill. We went up to our room at 9:00 to start getting ready for a nice, quiet evening - only that did not happen. Instead, a wedding party directly below us played loud, bass thumping, room shaking music until 12:17 am. Our room literally shook. It sounded like Operation Iraqi freedom was occurring directly under our room. We called the front desk and asked when it was going to stop and were told "well it's a wedding and the problem is your room is directly over it". Please explain how this is our fault? It's absolutely absurd for a spa resort to have a policy that allows this kind of noise this late at night. It's now 12:34 am. The music has stopped but they are still out on the balcony screaming and hollering; and the wafting smell of marijuana is enough to make Bob Marley want to come visit. Our weekend away has been ruined. We are both tired and ready to go home. Never. Again.
