this place is no longer going to be used by my medical insurance and with good reason. so they have…read moreno reason to be honest about how incompetent they have become. the first year i had them, they were ok, the nurse that came to my home was excellent ! but he quit and everything went down hill from that point on. though they never really had the office working correctly. in fact in the year i was with them, they had 3 case workers changed . the receptionist morales, is very disrespectful and hangs up on you when you tell her you have been waiting weeks and month for responses. the case worker gets no response either from them. since the first nurse i had for one year quit, they know nothing about central nervous system disorders. and how they affect a person's entire life. nor are they interested in the fact that you cannot digest any food at all without taking thousands of enzymes a month ! they are very dishonest and after i gave them an honest 2 star review they lied and said my doctor signed me off the program. my doctor never did and said," i never signed you on the program and i never signed you off" !!!!!!!!!!! it was a lie. i told them i want it in writing and they sent me a letter stating instead that it was the new nurse that came to my house one time, laura powell,the manager, the medical director, and my case worker that could never get the help i needed from them. jennifer said i did not need the program. i do not believe jennifer would do that . but she would have to go along to keep her job. they already were being fired by my insurance company because of their incompetence. and i will have a new company next year. my doctor said," i never signed you on the program, and i never signed you off. i believe her. she has always been honest with me. and they knew better then to put it in writing. so they blamed everyone else in their company. funny how the nurse that took care of me for one year never said i did not need the home care. i can see all too well why he left. and why they cannot get people to work for them. but this woman laura powell told me she wanted to take more tests and would be back in one month. so why would they claim she told them i no longer need the program unless she lied to me, knows nothing about 12 disk herniations, rsds, crps, fibromialgia, chronic fatigue, complete pancreatic insufficiency, hypothyroidism, chronic insomnia, i could go on and on. how car accidents effect these conditions, etc. but they said she was to blame. first they said my doctor, but would not put it in writing when i asked for the reason in writing. they never signed me off when they did not have anyone to go to the house. they just keep stringing me alone and my case worker kept telling me," they are trying to find someone to come into my area". i was told that over and over again. at this point i would never use them again for their incompetence, dishonesty, lack of concern, and ignorance of all my conditions and how they affect your entire life.

The hunt to find caregivers was exhausting-probably made worse because this is a stressful decision and one that when that time comes, a loved one is already in pretty bad shape. Preferred Care at Home of South Miami was the very first place I called that I had access to the owners (it's a pair of siblings). Both Ricky and Natalie immediately provided emails and cell phones and just that communication is life changing. We interviewed several caregivers and we had several options through Preferred Care. Our needs were pretty specific, including English speakers. In miami, that's harder to find than you might think, especially in the home health care space. Within the first few days we adjusted the schedule multiple times, and Preferred Care was SO understanding. I'm guessing when a family first initiates home health care services, it's a guessing game as to what schedule and needs the family member needs. But they were incredibly flexible and understanding. It's been a few months and we have daily care (split between several caregivers) who have all been AMAZING. They help with bathing, doing errands with my mom, taking her to doctor visits if I cannot, prepping simple meals and most importantly, helping my mom get around so she doesn't fall again. This service has saved my mom's life. I'm certain of that. But we "kissed" (aka interviewed) a BUNCH of frogs before finally finding a home care provider that made us comfortable and that we could communicate easily. I will also report that even though we are in a routine now, I still regularly text/call the owners wheh there is a schedule change or when we have family in town and owners are ALWAYS easy to reach and hyper understanding. Thaura, also very professional and helpful and she is a gentle soul. Always willing to do whatever I asked to be helpful to me. Easy to talk to and my little dog picked up her good vibes and like to hang out by her, she'd get excited to see her when she arrived. I only saw Elizabeth Cruz for three days but I liked her immediately. Also very professional, and couldn't do enough to make sure my every need was taken care of. I would recommend any of these ladies, they would not disappoint. Granniesnannies apparently hires only the best.
