Elite Exteriors was able to get Zack out to check out this roof next day. The inspection and estimate of the roof on our pending home purchase performed by Zack and Elite Exteriors quickly became our #1 pick (we had 3). Zack was the only one who actually got up on the roof, took pictures and thoroughly explained how Elite Exteriors would tackle the job. The other 2 estimators didn't even get on the roof before they gave us a price. Zack presented us with... hands down..... THE BEST description of work to be performed, price and promise of exceptional service. He lived up to all of the above! We are so happy we chose Elite Exteriors and can't say enough good things about Zack.... he was a pleasure to work with!!! The roof was done in one day and the guys did an exceptional job of cleaning up before they left. The next day I looked out my window and saw Zack walking around my yard picking up smaller pieces of packaging/trash that had been missed. I would hire Zack and this company again in a heartbeat!!!

Also, the dumpster that was needed to be dropped measured 8X 20 ----a good peice of info to have. The quote I received to do the work was fair--this is a smaller, and, in my experience, honest local company that is not out to gouge you. Once they were able to show up and do the work, they were fast, professional, courteous and efficient. A crew of 3 guys tore my rotten clay tile roof off, and replaced it with asphalt shingle in just 1 day----- on a 25 x 25 ft Greendale original home with a pyramid hip roof, plus a small adjacent, 10 X 8 ft utility room roof, plus a cleaned up the yard fairly decently as well, before leaving that day. (The dumpster remained till the following day though--but it was also removed quickly at jobs end) The company has been professional during every step of the process. The crew cleaned up fairly well, but there were a few things --some tile chips and debris here and there, 2 or 3 roofing nails left in the driveway, some tile and debris on the front porch overhang, and some scrapes on the siding where tile had scraped when it was pushed off the roof--(which were easily removed with mineral spirits) , and a piece of scaffold equipment still up on the roof near the chimney which was possibly left for inspection purposes. I can't complain though --considering the monumental mess with piles of debris this job created. Owner Keith sent a follow-up guy to clean up these things to my satisfaction and the guy made sure I was happy with everything was A-OK before he left. The cleaner that was used to remove the scrape marks worked like a charm--with no marks visible after. The house looks exactly as it did before the job began except now it has a new roof! This company prides itself on doing a good job and getting Angie's List rewards, it means a lot to them. I thought the price for the job was fair. Also, they provide a 10-year warranty on their work, and the shingles themselves have a 50-year warranty on them, in case there are unforeseen issues ahead. They deserve the solid reviews they get. I would hire them again. And may do so for an attic insulation job, which they also specialize in.

We rent, and since we had the kitchen and hallway cleared for reorganizing and cleaning purposes we asked the landlord to have it replaced. We offered to check around for prices, making it easier on our very nice landlord and letting us find a pattern we liked at the same time. The salesman was helpful and gave a very close estimate to what the final cost actually ended up being. After the visit, they sent someone out to take the precise measurements so they could make the estimate. He was the silent "gets his work done and leaves" kind of guy. No complaints about him, just not very sociable. Today, two young men came to install the flooring. They were very polite and did a wonderful job with the installation. While working, they listened to their music with headphones instead of a blaring radio which was quite nice. They moved the refrigerator out of the way for us and put it back in place when they were done. It does cost $30 per appliance to have it moved, but the money is worth every penny; they ended up having to remove the handles as well as some of the door molding in order to get it through the door. Carpet Town does not charge for removal/ reinstallation of the shoe molding along the wall they have to take out during the installation. Some places do charge for this. Only one little complaint, not enough to knock off a star but worth mentioning: dudes, after all these generations of women NAGGING you to put the toilet seat down you have not figured out how to do this! I had to put it down... twice. Otherwise, very good service. They have done other work in this building over the years, and anyone who has lived here has loved the results... except for that icky kitchen carpet (but that's not Carpet Town's fault, that's just a bad idea on the buyer's end). Highly recommended.

A: If it was so "deeply troubling," perhaps your company should have done the job properly in the first place & not told half the story in your claims. My rebuttal includes the first sentence of most of her paragraphs. So in the words of Paul Harvey...I give you, "the rest of the story: CLAIM: He came in within a couple of weeks prior to his moving into his home... A: I was told this, "was not a problem," by the salesman, Tom, & install would be done on time. To save me money, Tom suggested he could have his "best guy in the city" do it for me; coincidentally one of CT's installers, or so I was told. CLAIM: His LVP was installed on September 25th 2019... A: And the carpeting on the 23rd. Darn right I called as the job wasn't finished! (See the picture with the carpeting laying over the LVP.) YOUR people did not complete the job when the LVP was installed. Further, YOUR guy did NOT come on Fri, Sept. 27th as you claim, he came on Monday, Sept. 30th & tried to fix it. I was told someone would come on Friday the 27th; they never showed, I called & was then told someone couldn't be there until AM of Mon, Sept. 30th. CT's rep didn't actually come until a week after she claims. When CT's rep's attempt to fix the floor didn't work he stated, " I don't know what the problem is." On Tue, Oct, 1st, he simply dropped off a cleaner outside our front door? Now they wanted ME to "fix" a bad product! That didn't work so I called the office again, the rep told me he would put in a claim which could take 4-6 weeks to square away. On Fri, Oct 4th, at 12:18pm I recd a call from the rep stating he may have found a remedy & asked if I'd be home. Later that day he came and finally fixed the LVP. I have a time-stamped picture taken! That is also when I asked him how the installers could leave as there was clearly something wrong. CT's rep said, "They don't really pay attention to that kind of thing. They simply come in and do the install." So...that will help in "clearing up" the actual timeline! CLAIM: Jonathan Werner, sales manager, called Mr. McGee on October 21st asking for the outstanding balance of $1,111.31 that he owed since the installation... A: Actually I called Mr. Werner who had to call ME back since he was not available. He was NOT calling to ask for the outstanding balance! Jonathan first offered to knock off the $111.31 to make it an even $1000. But as the job had not been completed on time, there are still outstanding issues (to this day,) & their screwing around required me to miss work days, a credit of just over $100 was a joke! Jonathan stated, "I will have to speak with the owner and get back to you." CLAIM: On October 30th, Wendy Werner, owner... (skip to last sentence) He agreed to call at 7am on Tuesday, November 5th. He never called... A: Actually, I did call at 7:32am on Nov 5th, and left a message on the voicemail. NO ONE ever got back to me. I was in a meeting all day in DeForest & for you intrepid readers, you'll find out in her next paragraph, I was involved in a car/ deer crash which totaled my truck. OH, and, Wendy, why are you suddenly referring to yourself in the third-person on your account? That's weird... CLAIM: ...On that day he mentioned for the first time that there might be a flaw in his carpeting.... A. This was NOT the first mention of issues with the carpet installation. I called & spoke with Tom on Mon, Sept. 23rd after the install as the seams in the carpeting were (and after 2 months, still are) very noticeable. In fact, Tom came out to look at the carpeting on the morning of Sept 24th! Wendy's facts are again, a bit lacking in accuracy. CLAIM: One week later, on November 18th, Wendy left a message... A: Actually Wendy called my wife at work & left a threatening message on her voice mail as well as mine. Despite her company still not standing behind their product/ installation, it wasn't worth taking CT to court over a few hundred dollars as they have already cost me more in wasted time. So they got their money! It is very sad when an owner of a company does not stand behind their service and their product, then only tells part of the story. Pictures: CLAIM: The LVP picture is before we made the effort of cleaning it. A: Yes...but like your business, you didn't complete the job; in this case, of looking at ALL of the pictures. See, I also posted a picture of the difference after the CT rep fixed a 4x4 section. But keep up the good work, Wendy... CLAIM: Carpeting picture shows some loose fibers. A: If Wendy would've sent someone out as Wendy said, Wendy would know that the "fibers" that are letting lose on one end. The other end is still attached to the base of the carpet meaning the carpeting is letting loose! Wendy just makes assumptions. Don't be a Wendy!

Steve was more upset that I knew the truth about the work they completed then he was about rectifying the job. They sent clueless subcontractors who spoke no English, and caused extensive damage to my home. Two Day has refused many requests to fix anything unless I pay them in full first - leaving my new home in horrible shape all this time. They used a wood stain(NOT rated for metal, per the MDS) on all the metal downspouts, gutters, and patio door causing immediate and extensive bubbling/peeling of the paint. A proper fix would require everything to be completely striped and redone with a properly rated product, and the labor cost of doing so would be enormous. No other contractors I talked to wanted to touch it and recommended full replacement. My quoted replacement costs for the damaged items is just shy of $25,000! Two Day is now trying to sue me for full payment plus ridiculous fees and interest, while shirking any and all responsibility. It is due to a small clause in the contract that states "All disputes will go through NARI mediation and arbitration" that they have avoided taking any responsibility thus far. What the contract doesn't say, is that going through NARI(National Association Remodeling Industry), which Two Day is a member of, requires a $2000 non-refundable upfront fee! There is no way I was going to hand over an additional $2000 to their questionably 'unbiased' member organization just to get them to fix their mistakes and satisfy the original contract. As I refused to pay the $2000, Two Day and NARI conducted some kind of kangaroo arbitration hearing without me present, refusing to allow any of my evidence of their negligence and damage. The arbitrator only heard Two Day's lies and omissions and ruled in their favor. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Stay FAR away from Two Day Painting, and for that matter anyone whose contract demands that disputes must go through NARI's $2000 Clown Court. ------------------------- Re: Garret's response on April 8th I've never worked with you Garret on this matter. You haven't been out to my house to see the results. But I think the photos paint a pretty clear picture for everyone. The fact that you can't refute any of my points is also very telling for all. Despite the weaselly way you try to reword things and frame them in your favor, it's all essentially just lies by omission. Because you know full well: 1) You used a wood-only stain on the metal parts of my house against manufacturer specifications. Your negligence here is clearly documented. 2) All of your 'generous offers' were contingent on you getting paid in full first. As if I am foolish enough to give up all my leverage and just trust a company that has already demonstrated extreme negligence and damaged my property. 3) I absolutely did NOT ever refuse to participate in the mediation or present evidence. I refused to pay a surprise $2000 non-refundable fee to NARI that was never disclosed in your contract(you REALLY should!) - and because of that I WAS BARRED from showing up and presenting any of my extensive evidence. Why would someone throw away another $2000? When the best possible outcome would be NARI forcing you to send the same terrible workers of questionable legal status back out and hoping for a better outcome this time. Your MO is clear. Promise anything verbally - do everything you can to avoid it being documented in writing. Send the cheapest bargain basement subcontractors to do a rushed job. Then use your warranty to hold over dissatisfied customers heads so they don't complain or leave you bad reviews - because they already paid you in full and they are just hoping you will show some shred of decency and professionalism and maybe fix some things. If you had any at all, you would understand that it is unethical to negligently damage someones house using improper products for the material getting painted and then demand full payment before you will even attempt to fix it. You would understand that it is unethical to just ignore multiple items that were promised in the contract and in writing that objectively and admittedly went unfulfilled - and then demand full payment. As far as me "honoring the court's decision" - you know full well no such decision has been made because the matter has yet to see a courtroom. NARI's one-sided $2000 pay-to-play arbitration hearing is not court. I hope you can reflect on this and do the right thing Garret. I'll offer you the benefit of the doubt since it's possible you were not provided full information by Eric Rauterberg. But if not, let me be clear: You are not going to get away with this
