I recently used them to install new carpet in several rooms of my house. The quality and price were again satisfactory, but the crew did a number on my baseboard trim. I had it looking perfect with any scuffs removed and painting done (I did this prior to install so I wouldn't get anything on the new carpet). Upon completion I saw it was scuffed, dinged, and scratched up. Using the email on their website, I sent them an email with my concerns as well as photos. I included the job information and my contact information. The next day the email bounced back as undeliverable. I called them and again expressed my concerns. They stated the email address on their website was outdated and gave me the new one. I was told to email them again including the photos. I again emailed them, but two weeks later have yet to hear back. I guess the check cleared so they no longer care? I had to spend several hours with magic eraser and paint trying to undo the mess they made. The actual scratches into the wood of course can't be undone. See attached photos.

We recently worked with Hunt's Flooring to have our kitchen floor redone. Our old flooring was…read moreinstalled improperly so there was a lot of work to be done to prep the floor to be ready for a new installation. It was important to us that we had a detailed estimate with no surprise expenses at the end. Both Phil and Tony were very helpful with preparing our estimate and educating us on the various flooring options we could choose from. They were always available to take our calls and answer any questions we had. Once we had an estimate and our new flooring picked out, the job was started within a few days. Dylan did our installation and we were so impressed with his work! He showed up on time every day and his attention to detail was very clear. He worked efficiently but nothing ever felt rushed. He was polite, friendly and did quality work. We are so happy with the end result. John and his team helped us with the removal and reinstallation of our cabinets and appliances so the work could be done. They also showed up on time and took care of everything so the flooring work could be done. We spent a lot of time doing our research on replacing our kitchen floor and are so happy we went with Hunt's Flooring. We would absolutely go to them again for any future flooring needs and would recommend them to anyone.

My fiance and I spent over a month trying to find the right flooring for our new house. We went…read moreeverywhere and had a very hard time finding something. Given we had a budget, many stores scoffed at us when we walked in and they found out we didn't want to spend $8/sqft on wood flooring. Other places like Home Depot and Lowes lacked the style and choices we were craving...not to mention a severe lack of customer service as well. We were just about ready to settle when a real estate developer told us to try Hunt's Flooring in West Allis. From the moment we walked in, Tony and the rest of the staff quickly turned the frustration of picking a floor into a very enjoyable experience! Right from the start it felt different than the other stores we went into...it felt "right!" Tony warmly greeted us and got a feel for the project we had at hand. He eagerly educated us on different types of flooring, happily accepting the terms of our budget, and steered us in the right direction of the products he offered...which were very plentiful! Tony seemed eager to share his craft...Want to "hear" the difference between a floated vs. nailed down floor? Visit this place just for that amazing experience! What we valued most about Hunt's is that, right from the start, we felt like they valued us as a customer of their store. Before we even started to commit to purchasing something from them, the staff spent a lot of time helping us find the right product for our project...and also allowed us to have alone time searching and talking, free from salesman tactics or distractions. We never felt like we were getting "sold" to...and that was SO refreshing! When we finally did find something we loved and ordered it from them, the customer service didn't stop. Given our budget and my love of projects, I planned on installing the floor by myself. Many other stores, we quickly discovered, dissuade their customers from DIY. Tony was excited we were installing the floor by ourselves, and went out of his way to give us tips and tools to use throughout our project! If we ever need any flooring solution ever again, we will, hands-down, begin our search at Hunt's Flooring. What's more, we HIGHLY recommend anyone in the same boat as us to do the same!! Thank you, Hunt's Flooring!!

It is deeply troubling that this review was posted, given that Carpet Town has attempted to please…read moreMr. Mc Gee in multiple ways. A: If it was so "deeply troubling," perhaps your company should have done the job properly in the first place & not told half the story in your claims. My rebuttal includes the first sentence of most of her paragraphs. So in the words of Paul Harvey...I give you, "the rest of the story: CLAIM: He came in within a couple of weeks prior to his moving into his home... A: I was told this, "was not a problem," by the salesman, Tom, & install would be done on time. To save me money, Tom suggested he could have his "best guy in the city" do it for me; coincidentally one of CT's installers, or so I was told. CLAIM: His LVP was installed on September 25th 2019... A: And the carpeting on the 23rd. Darn right I called as the job wasn't finished! (See the picture with the carpeting laying over the LVP.) YOUR people did not complete the job when the LVP was installed. Further, YOUR guy did NOT come on Fri, Sept. 27th as you claim, he came on Monday, Sept. 30th & tried to fix it. I was told someone would come on Friday the 27th; they never showed, I called & was then told someone couldn't be there until AM of Mon, Sept. 30th. CT's rep didn't actually come until a week after she claims. When CT's rep's attempt to fix the floor didn't work he stated, " I don't know what the problem is." On Tue, Oct, 1st, he simply dropped off a cleaner outside our front door? Now they wanted ME to "fix" a bad product! That didn't work so I called the office again, the rep told me he would put in a claim which could take 4-6 weeks to square away. On Fri, Oct 4th, at 12:18pm I recd a call from the rep stating he may have found a remedy & asked if I'd be home. Later that day he came and finally fixed the LVP. I have a time-stamped picture taken! That is also when I asked him how the installers could leave as there was clearly something wrong. CT's rep said, "They don't really pay attention to that kind of thing. They simply come in and do the install." So...that will help in "clearing up" the actual timeline! CLAIM: Jonathan Werner, sales manager, called Mr. McGee on October 21st asking for the outstanding balance of $1,111.31 that he owed since the installation... A: Actually I called Mr. Werner who had to call ME back since he was not available. He was NOT calling to ask for the outstanding balance! Jonathan first offered to knock off the $111.31 to make it an even $1000. But as the job had not been completed on time, there are still outstanding issues (to this day,) & their screwing around required me to miss work days, a credit of just over $100 was a joke! Jonathan stated, "I will have to speak with the owner and get back to you." CLAIM: On October 30th, Wendy Werner, owner... (skip to last sentence) He agreed to call at 7am on Tuesday, November 5th. He never called... A: Actually, I did call at 7:32am on Nov 5th, and left a message on the voicemail. NO ONE ever got back to me. I was in a meeting all day in DeForest & for you intrepid readers, you'll find out in her next paragraph, I was involved in a car/ deer crash which totaled my truck. OH, and, Wendy, why are you suddenly referring to yourself in the third-person on your account? That's weird... CLAIM: ...On that day he mentioned for the first time that there might be a flaw in his carpeting.... A. This was NOT the first mention of issues with the carpet installation. I called & spoke with Tom on Mon, Sept. 23rd after the install as the seams in the carpeting were (and after 2 months, still are) very noticeable. In fact, Tom came out to look at the carpeting on the morning of Sept 24th! Wendy's facts are again, a bit lacking in accuracy. CLAIM: One week later, on November 18th, Wendy left a message... A: Actually Wendy called my wife at work & left a threatening message on her voice mail as well as mine. Despite her company still not standing behind their product/ installation, it wasn't worth taking CT to court over a few hundred dollars as they have already cost me more in wasted time. So they got their money! It is very sad when an owner of a company does not stand behind their service and their product, then only tells part of the story. Pictures: CLAIM: The LVP picture is before we made the effort of cleaning it. A: Yes...but like your business, you didn't complete the job; in this case, of looking at ALL of the pictures. See, I also posted a picture of the difference after the CT rep fixed a 4x4 section. But keep up the good work, Wendy... CLAIM: Carpeting picture shows some loose fibers. A: If Wendy would've sent someone out as Wendy said, Wendy would know that the "fibers" that are letting lose on one end. The other end is still attached to the base of the carpet meaning the carpeting is letting loose! Wendy just makes assumptions. Don't be a Wendy!

He was very talkative and recommended many things that I did not want. He had said nothing about the thickness of the carpet padding or the carpet itself. The three men that came out to install my carpet were also not wearing masks. The three were there in the morning, two of them left, and then two of them returned much later in the afternoon to finish the job. I thought that was rather strange that all three didn't stay for the entire job. When they were finished, I noticed that the connector piece from my hallway into my bedrooms wasn't nailed down all the way, but when I asked, the guy fixed it by hammering it in more. Then I tried opening and closing my doors and they were very hard to open and close. I had to push my entire body into the door to open it. The guy that installed the carpet had said that sometimes this happens and he just brushed it off. They left. I called the store later that day and spoke with manager Jonathan. He offered to pay for half of the cost of a Carpenter to come out and trim the doors so they would open. He got it taken care of pretty quickly, and said that he would contact me for the bill. A week went by and I hadn't heard from him. I got a call late on Friday from the secretary Donna asking for payment for an outstanding balance. I called the store back Monday, and it turns out there was no communication from Jonathan to her regarding my bill. The balance that she was referring to was the full amount, and Jonathan had said I only had to pay half the amount. I told Donna this, and she took half the bill off and I was able to pay only half the bill. All in all, the carpet is very nice, but the communication is very poor. I was not happy with the communication and their disregard to the pandemic.
