At the end of fifth grade we were worried he would never succeed in math. Fortunately we found Math School of Great Falls & in a very short amount of time he not only caught up with math but he found out he loves it too. He is now in Honors Algebra and continues to love the subject. We are very grateful to Math School of Great Falls & feel fortunate that we found this gem in the heart of Great Falls!

Just to get a really secure foundation, you know? Everyone was just so attentive it was amazing! Mr Brandon and his dad are the nicest folks ever. My son loved it. I actually ended up signing him up then and there on an experimental basis (he was still technically a bit too young so they understood that). He loved it, he did a bunch of fun stuff. He's still Mr Brandon's biggest fan and waves hi to the storefront on days when we go to the McDonald's across the parking lot on our way home from school. It turned out the age limit was there for a reason, he just didn't have the attention span for it yet. But the amount of effort they put in to trying to make it work was just mindblowing. This is a brilliant place and they're brilliant teachers. I would recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat.

In junior year of HS he breezed through Calculus BC and Physics with straight A's. Next year is Statistics in math, AP physics and yet another math class over the summer. He finds these classes interesting and fun! I think everyone would ace math if this was the normal curriculum and I wish it was. Kids are beating themselves up for not being smart enough where in reality they're just not taught the right way. I now have a teen who thinks math is fun and easy! Thanks to Mathnasium!

Due to differences from their previous school in both teaching style and curriculum, both children needed additional support in mathematics. We have had such an excellent experience with Tutoring in Fairfax we have continued sessions throughout the summer and now into this next academic year- both students are excelling in their math classes and exhibiting confidence in their skills. For anyone seeking tutoring I would highly recommend Tutoring in Fairfax- the team that runs this organization has been highly responsive and efficient and the girls think the world of their tutor Marvin. The cost of quality tutoring in NoVA is significant but, in this case, I would say you absolutely receive what is promised. They offer both group and individual tutoring and they are truly invested in your satisfaction and in your student's experience.

They were able to hone his strengths and focus on areas needing improvement. They make learning fun and instill discipline at the same time. I've looked at other tutoring places but we chose TIF because aside from the amazing staff, principles, and depth of learning, the place is very conducive for individualized and focused learning --- they have separate rooms to help the students get 100% of attention. Laleh also makes time for parent interaction; you don't feel rushed when talking with her and she's a good listener and will work with the parents. It helps a lot that Zach, who manages the front office is always on top of things (scheduling changes, etc.). Plus, they offer a lot of flexibility in cancelling lessons ahead of time for any reason and will not charge you (unlike in others where you are locked in). If you are looking for quality for your kiddos, this is definitely the place to go.

Over the years we have tried a few different tutors, including one of the highly regarded Math Tutoring Centers. Honestly, none of those tutors that we tried was able to reach and teach my daughter until we met Hanan. For her first session Hanan came prepared to assess her strengths and weaknesses, and from there designed/tailored his tutoring sessions specifically for her needs. I highly recommend Hanan! My son is fairly good with math, but is impatient and gets frustrated when faced with difficult problems. Hanan worked well with him and was able to keep my son focused on his work and to not get distracted by his frustrations. We used his services pretty consistently for over two years, and then somewhat less in 11th and 12th grades as my son needed less help. We tended to wait in a semester until problems were evident. Hana was very accommodating with his schedules, and did not insist on a completely regular cycle. Our only criticism would be that on occasion he would have to reschedule with late notice, or be late to a session. My son, showed improvement with Hanan so overall I would say he provided a positive and worthwhile service.
