I was surprised that he suggested an easy fix and so so grateful. I came by the next day and he spend about 30 min pushing the dent out himself to much success! On top of saving me the cost of a new bumper, he didn't charge me a penny for his time. I owe him big time and plan to go no where but the Mike's Auto Body family of businesses. I brought it back to show him and he said "oh it's cracked that's why" I said yeah because you broke it. Then he said well the fender was wrecked and I said no it wasn't it was here for a rust spot then he said oh well your car has a few rusted areas and I said no it doesn't and what would that have to do with you breaking the pin on my bumper. So then he says "fine bring it back next week but not in a Friday and I'll fix it". Mind you this was with an attitude and then when I pointed out his attitude he said and I quote " I said I'd fix it why you busting my balls" this is how you speak to your customers? I chose Total Care because that's who Mastria Nissan recommends. From start to finish, I was impressed. Jack, the owner, gave me a HUGE education about how insurance claims work and was extremely friendly. I also dealt with Brett and Brian, both equally friendly. They kept me updated. It's nothing fancy but I love this car a lot and it means a lot to me. It used to be the car my grandparents drove me around in when I was little. I won't ramble too much about it's backstory but long story short my grandmother has since passed and my grandfather gifted it to me when I got my license. So in April I was in a really bad accident. I got nailed pretty bad in the passenger side. It was bad enough that the engine shut off and my hazard lights turned on automatically. Anyways, the insurance company totaled it and I was devastated but not really surprised because its a 2008. I've gotten work done by Dave & his employees in the past because of a minor fender bender and my parents have gotten all of their cars from him in the past so I felt that he was the best person to bring it to. Fast forward a couple days when he got back from vacation he DID advise that I don't bother with it because of where it got hit and the amount of money in damages it was. I explained my situation and the sentimental value of the car to him and persisted that I was more than willing to pay out of pocket whatever the difference was between what the job was worth and what the insurance gave me. He agreed to fix it and even still he insisted I would not pay more than what the insurance company gave me and after a couple of weeks I went to pick it up and my total was 700$ less than what the insurance company gave me and over 1000$ less than what the appraiser said the damages were! I still had a couple of minor issues with the interior afterwards and he fixed all of those too without charging me another dime. Overall, Dave took care of my wallet and my car and I couldn't be more grateful for his willingness to help me out in a tough spot, and the quality of the work done on my vehicle. I hope I don't have to go to his shop anytime soon again lol but god forbid anything happens to my car again I 100% know where I'm taking it. Everyone that works there is very nice and show genuine compassion for their customers. If anyone reading this just smashed up their car and want it back new without having to sell a kidney, this is definitely the place to go. Once again thank you Dave for helping me out I REALLY didn't want to lose this car.
