We were going for a place that was very outdoorsy, surrounded by trees and nature. We also wanted a place that had plenty of FREE on-site parking without having to take a shuttle. After countless days and hours of searching, I am so glad that I came across Eleganto Rancho in Sacramento, CA. My husband and I made an appointment to meet with the venue owner, Dmitriy. He gave us a tour of the venue and immediately my husband loved the venue! We were able to visualize where we wanted to place all our decor and set up the space. There were many things we loved about the venue and honestly, our wedding day was the best day ever for us! Firstly, there's tons of space at the venue for your guests to park safely! Moreover, I love the market lights that are pre-installed throughout the venue! They're so pretty at night. Eleganto Rancho doesn't charge a service fee, there are no preferred vendors. You can bring your own catering or your own food if you'd like as long as it's approved by the owner, Dmitriy. He does require you to purchase a liability insurance, but it's very inexpensive. There's no food and drink minimum. No bar minimum. What's really cool about Dmitriy's venue is that he tries to keep it very reasonable when it comes to pricing! You have the freedom to decorate the space to your liking and make your vision come to life! Also, I love how he has a designated spot for food trucks, which my husband and I definitely took advantage of! We hired a taco truck vendor and it was such a huge hit! Dmitriy offers different packages: just the venue and venue + chairs and tables rentals. Dmitriy makes things very easy because he has rentals which include, but are not limited to: florals, arches, tableware, flatware, glassware, coolers, bar station, lawn games, canopy, tables, chairs, linens, luxury portable bathrooms, and much more!! The venue booking includes access to a prepping area, getting ready room, 2 regular sized refrigerators, a wine cooler fridge and of course a bathroom. You can rent these items directly through him. Dmitriy helped us set up the ceremony area, and the reception area as well. He also helped with trash disposal. Some of the best memories about Dmitriy was when we were setting up our own wedding arch, but it was getting knocked over by the wind -- Dmitriy saved the day by letting us use his sand bags prevent the arch from toppling over. Also, when my husband and I were doing our faux wedding exit and we gave our guests hand sparklers. Dmitriy came out with a torch to help us light the sparklers. He helped us light them a lot faster, which allowed us to have more burn time with the sparklers when taking photos and videos. I really appreciate him doing that for us. He also recorded snippets of the wedding and transferred them into my personal external hard drive for me on the same night. Dmitriy is very thoughtful and very attentive. He's super helpful and accommodating. You have to come see the venue for yourself at night time to get the full effect of how beautiful it is. I really didn't want to leave the venue! It was the best night ever. It was so peaceful and my husband and I even received a lot of compliments from our guests telling us how beautiful our wedding was! I'm not gonna lie, I was initially really nervous about the entire wedding process. Especially when my husband and I had 3 months to plan it all. However, Dmitriy was very helpful in answering our questions such as when it came to asking for recommendations for particular vendors. I'm so happy that everything worked out so beautifully! In fact, many of our guests told my husband and I that it was one of the best weddings that they ever attended. That really made me feel good because I spent a lot of time in a short amount of time (3 months) to plan it all with the help of my husband. Dmitriy also assured us that it was doable, but to see your vision come to life, was more AMAZING than words can say. Eleganto Rancho is such a beautiful venue. We didn't think much of it until we began viewing the venue. We had just come from viewing another venue so we had our questions prepared. We started asking estimates, and he was being very short and passive with his answers. At one moment there was pure silence and even the silence was deafening. We asked if we could look around and he let us through. The ranch itself is very cute however it is smaller than videos that are posted on their social media. The venue is an extension of their backyard therefore you must drive through their home to get to the venue. When we started to ask him questions about the ceremony taking place he shut it down almost immediately letting us know that he's "not mentally ready" for a same sex wedding due to his religious beliefs. I completely understood so we decided to step back from the venue itself. As we tried to leave during this awkward moment, he continued to express that it's just not something he believes in. We acknowledged this and decided to leave since we weren't welcomed. He has stated that they don't discriminate based on sexual orientation, yet they contradicted themselves by saying they focus on more traditional weddings. A nice comment on the website regarding their beliefs would have been more than enough to avoid this situation. Dmitri was overall very short and blunt with us, which was so disappointing after seeing all the good reviews from his previous clients.

I'd have preferred if the meeting was announced with more notice. This is a regular issue with the district. For those with families or pets or plans or lives, it's difficult to get to a meeting with only a week's notice. Also, it's clear the district employees care. But sometimes their interest makes them defensive and take things over personally. It's key to remember that it's our district-- you just represent us. Our dollars pay your salaries. Don't let your passion hold you back. But I suppose I'm guilty of the same at my job. So that point doesn't take away any starts on the yelp rate-o-meter. I look foward to future engagement with the good folks at CRPD who work hard to better the community.

You know how when you check into a hotel and stay there for a few days, you notice things that…read moreeither delight you or you find disappointing. Unfortunately, this had a lot of small disappointments that added up to -I wouldn't stay here again. After being out a full day and coming back to our room, no one had serviced it. Evidently it's done every other day although this is not made very obvious. There's only one working elevator and the occupancy was very high, including a LOT of 10 year-old boys that like to run down the halls and play outside the window till 9:30 PM. There's only one trashcan, so either put it next to the coffee station or in the bathroom. Either way you're gonna be carrying discarded trash across the room. There's no provision for recycling. There's no luggage rack so one person has a nice place to put their suitcase but the second person would have to either put it on the sofa or the desk -which defeats the purpose of having a sofa or a desk. There's no hand or body lotion. The room refrigerator does not have a freezer so we could not refreeze our traveling ice packs. The towel rack is inside the shower, which I find weird. There's one hook on the back of the door so it's not easy to hang up too damp towels if you're there with your partner. I was unable to use the TV to check out and review my account. It said the feature wasn't working. No surprise. Breakfast on Monday was different and better relatively than the weekend. The oatmeal was thickest I've ever seen. I'm not sure what they use for eggs but the Greek yogurt and fruit was nice. On the upside, they waived the $14 daily parking fee (which seems ridiculous that they would even charge in the first place) & the shower pressure is fantastic. We did walk to a Mongolian stirfry place, which was very good, but this is not a pedestrian friendly area. We had to cross two freeway on ramps, which was scary. There are too many options to be OK with a hotel that is not customer oriented, but rather making it as economical for the business as possible.
