David was patient and strategic going through the clubs. I could not hit Calloway so that was out immediately. Hit the Ping the furthest but felt a little heavy. No driving range, but there's a small putting/chipping green for warm up. I'm not an avid golfer, so I rented a set of clubs and pushcart for $15. Variety of golf balls for sale. Not knowing how I would do I got a pack of 12 of white Kirkland balls for $12, but they had nicer ones. (In the end I only needed 1 and didn't lose it!) Clubhouse had a variety of cold drinks. Picnic bench seating outside. Limited parking if you're coming with a large group, but I was able to get parking. Friendly and helpful staff.

My fellow friends from elementary school through high school have played here. Now my handsome little nephew's play here. It's a great neighborhood that fully supports its local Little League! The board works hard to ensure the safety, fun, and fairness for the kids who choose to play for CGLL! The snack bar is above average. Especially when they sell Chic-fil-A! They don't take credit, so that's a bummer, just cash. It's always good to remember that everything you buy is a fundraiser to keep the fields alive for the kids. Plenty of shade to watch games. Also, plenty of bleacher space and open grassy area to plop down your own chair. There is are tennis courts near by and also a play area for kids. I will say this and it's no fault to CGLL. Lock your car, thieves have been know to circulate near the parking lot...preying on the families who are there supporting their children. Heartless. The families are support each other and will chase away those who look suspicious and also tell you on the loud speaker if this does happen. If your kidlet needs something fun to do, bring them or sign them up for CGLL!

Sadly not many birdies but I'm sure thats par for my course. The greens are well kept, course is wide open for the beginners like me, and the trees beautifully line up the fairways. Its forgiving and for high handicappers, its a good track. Clubhouse had a ton of food options and beer selection too. Big bonus as I enjoyed the post round meal. Golfer report: My first ever visit. Played golf. No restaurant visit…read more Checked in with pro shop. The 2 guys at the counter were super friendly, happy and helpful. The clubhouse is welcoming, well maintained, & clean. The golf course is challenging. If you love trees you'll love this golf course. It's literally a forest with a golf course hidden within. So this track is not for beginners nor golfers who spray the balls in every direction. Shot accuracy is mandatory if you want to score. The turf conditions are excellent. Fairways are healthy green and on this late September Monday were mowed at a welcoming height. There's no real rough or large penalty areas to lose golf balls on most holes. The challenge is getting the ball back into play when it's behind a stand of trees. I walked the course. It's relatively flat, so if you are in physically good condition the 7,000 yards (with meandering to and fro) is good exercise. Walking green fee is around $40. For the price this golf course is a value bargain. And check out the golf course electric scooters! I'm going to rent one the next time I play here. Recommended.

A good coach teaches his player how to do an exercise to avoid injury. Instead of teaching my son how to lift weights to avoid injury, Coach Mike Hacker would ridicule my son in front of his peers and yell "that's why you have injuries, because you're doing it wrong." Mike did not show him the "correct" way to lift the weight. There was another instance where my son and one of his peers were spotting each other on some weights. Coach Mike yelled at the other boy to get out of his weight room for talking to my son and told him he won't bother sending my son out of the room because my son is not worth it. There are numerous instances of mental and verbal abuse from Coach Mike on the field as well. None of these instances were constructive but personal. I will not mention them in order to protect my son's identity. We have read about coaches who ridicule and verbally abuse certain players on their team causing the player to quit the sport for good. We never imagined this would be the case with our 13 year old. Our son had played successfully since he was 5 years old and played Majors prior to coming to BPA. We cannot express the sadness we have our son has left the sport because of his experience at BPA. We believe Coach Mike had a personal disliking for our son since he had expected to get a starting pitcher but got a kid with injuries due to growth plates not being fully fused yet. Before coming to BPA we were warned by a previous player about how he also had been verbally abused and ridiculed by Coach Mike, but we didn't believe him. We wish we had. We remember Coach Mike naming other ball clubs in the area and telling us how bad they were, that BPA was the best, even better than playing for the high school he previously taught at. We now believe this was to isolate players from considering playing for any other competing baseball club in the area. Regrettably, we convinced our son to stay longer than he should have because of this. Great leaders motivate young players to succeed by being fair, positive, patient, sincere, concerned and honest. Although Coach Mike knows baseball, these characteristics were nowhere to be found. Parents beware! There are no protections under the law for verbal and mental abuse of your adoloscent in extracarricular sports. Don't take a chance with your child's self esteem and baseball future. There are other baseball clubs in the area that develop young, successful college recruitments.

Honestly, after being out in the sun, walking the trails, and melting a little in the Sacramento heat, walking into that air-conditioned clubhouse felt amazing. The AC was cranking, the drinks were ice cold, and it was exactly what we needed. We were actually the only people there when we arrived. I ordered a beer that came out perfectly cold, and we also grabbed a few Gatorades to replenish those electrolytes after our hike. For food, we ordered the club sandwich, a brat with fries, a western-style burger, and a side of fresh watermelon. I was especially excited about the watermelon because after being out in the heat, something light and refreshing sounded perfect. Unfortunately, as soon as I opened the container, I could smell vinegar. I took a bite just to be sure, and it had definitely gone bad. I brought it to the counter, and the ladies working there immediately checked it themselves and agreed something wasn't right. They were incredibly apologetic and told me to pick out another container. Unfortunately, when they opened the others, they discovered those had spoiled as well. While I was disappointed because I had really been looking forward to the watermelon, I genuinely appreciated how they handled it. They immediately offered to replace it with anything else on the menu, which was very kind and much appreciated. The rest of the food was great. My club sandwich was delicious, although next time I'd probably ask for crispy bacon because mine was a little softer than I prefer. My daughter loved her western burger, and my husband completely devoured the brat and fries. The only other challenge was the parking lot. We drive a larger vehicle, and some of the spaces felt a little tight and tricky to maneuver through. Helpful tip: If you're ordering fresh-cut fruit, it never hurts to give it a quick look and smell first. Also, if you're coming in after a hike or a hot day outside, the cold drinks and air conditioning are worth the stop alone. Overall, this was exactly the kind of casual lunch spot we were looking for after a day on the trails. Very Nice 18 hole course out in the Vineyards area off Bradshaw out towards Elk Grove…read more Making the tee times online was easy enough, however whether calling or online, the availability is only 7 days out. Price was reasonable, $76 for 18, riding. Course is decently challenging with doglegs, trap and pin placement and tricky greens when putting, but course is well maintained. They had just paved the area around the grill and had cobstruction on the patio, so the beverage cart was unavailable during my round, however there were plenty of water stations with fresh cool water throughout the course. The grill has a nice variety of good for before or after your round as well as snacks, and various beverages from soda, gatorades, beer and mixed drinks. My Bacon Breakfast burrito was quite tasty, with a healthy mix of peppers and onions with the eggs and bacon and cheese. After the round I enjoyed a Bacon Blue Cheese Burger. All on all , a decent change to our usual golf outings.
