My oldest son who is 10 years old has been here for a year now . He loves the environment and says it's just a good fit for me! Martha and her dedicated group of tutors are encouraging and create an environment where my child is thriving! He loves to go and now we have enrolled his 5 year old brother into the kindergarten program. This has been a tremendous help since we are still doing virtual learning. I know when the pandemic is over my boys will academically be where they need to be! We also did zoom learning for 3 months and recently transitioned back to the facility. They are masked, taking temperatures and taking all precautions for a safe learning environment. This led to our decision to return to in class tutoring. To say we are happy is an understatement. Math is now my sons best subject! I would of course recommend THE TUTORING CENTER .. it's the best by far and we have tried a few places here in Flower mound. Bravo!

I had a disappointing experience with Apollo Test Prep. The tutoring approach I received placed too…read moremuch emphasis on general comprehension and not enough on the elimination process that is essential for difficult LSAT questions. In my experience, this actually disrupted a method that had been working better for me, and my performance suffered rather than improved. I later reached out to Jack to explain my concerns and hoped to discuss what had gone wrong, but I did not receive a meaningful response. I also scheduled a strategy call, which was canceled on the basis that only one complimentary strategy call is allowed per student. This was particularly frustrating because I had previously been permitted to schedule more than one strategy call before becoming a paying tutoring client. Taken together, the lack of follow-up and cancellation made me feel that my concerns as a paying student were not being taken seriously. I would have appreciated accountability, a substantive discussion of the tutoring issues, and an effort to address the problem rather than simply ending communication. Based on my experience, I would not use their tutoring services again.

Exceptional College level Calculus Tutoring - Highly Recommended!…read more We first reached out to Ashley, who set my son up with David Lazada. As a college student struggling with calculus, my son was extremely worried and not feeling confident about the class. He struggled with the course early on in his first year of college and ended up having to drop the course. Because the course is a required course for his degree plan, he had to enroll again as a senior. He took the course as a summer course, which made it even tougher due to the condensed time frame. From the first session, David had a remarkable ability to connect well with our son, break down complex concepts and explain them in a way that is both understandable and engaging. David was patient, encouraging, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our son grasped the material. He was able to tailor the sessions to our specific needs and learning style, which made a significant difference in my son's confidence and performance. David committed time daily, and even weekends to help ensure our son's success. I received updates often as a parent, and was able to ask questions at any time throughout the period of time he was getting help. Thanks to David and Tutor Revolution, our son was able to achieve a passing grade, that he really did not think was possible. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and effective calculus tutor, check out Tutor Revolution! They are truly exceptional!

I started Kumon (at the Flower Mound location) at a young age (~5) and continued until 10th grade…read more Yes, I did not enjoy it growing up, but looking back, I am very happy that my parents placed me in this program. Math was pretty much a breeze during my entire childhood and adolescent years. I was able to focus on other subjects in school, because math wasn't something I had to worry about. As an adult, I don't need a calculator for every single math problem (unlike most people these days). A huge bonus is that I can compute discounts in my head when shopping and no one can rip me off! Kumon in a nutshell: Each student works through the program at their OWN pace. Children will develop a strong foundation as they repeat the worksheets, which explain and instruct students whenever a new topic is introduced, and therefore they can work independently. "Independently" is the key here. The basic premise of Kumon is very logical. Throw age and grade out the window. Kids will progress to the next level once they have good mastery of the material, which is based on accuracy and time. Some parents initially starting their kid on Kumon may find the level that they start at too low and an insult to their child's intelligence. But do not worry! Reviewing is beneficial and will give your child a very strong foundation. Remember, students only become weak in math when they haven't mastered the fundamental material. The review phase goes quickly. The amount of time spent is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. The staff at Kumon of Flower Mound are wonderful and will help your child(ren) become successful at school and beyond. They may initially complain, but once they start mastering the material, they will want to keep coming back! Trust me!
