The practice test were used so many times the answers were visible on the test and were a distraction. My student received the same score on the ACT before and after the program. The staff is friendly and helpful. They answer questions and know how each kid is progressing and offer helpful tips. My 10 year old is starting 5th grade and is well ahead of her grade level in reading and math. She started the digital version when we joined the new location. I was unsure about it at first, but it's a game changer. The work gets graded faster, the kids have to do corrections before starting the next packets, and it tracks all the work and the pace. We used to do paper packets at the previous location (previous owner) and glad we switched. Kumon even gives Amazon gift card rewards when you sign up through the Kumon portal. She was super excited to shop for her own gift as a reward!

Our Kindergartener was having challenges during the first few months of the school year (last year). We decided to pull the Kindergartener two months into the school year and send to Pre-K (previously skipped) and to Kumon for Math and Reading. The learning and development was instantaneous. Fast forward to 8 months later. Back in Kindergarten and the Kindergartener is 98 percentile in the country in Math and 94 percentile in Reading. Will be joining Hybrid Math for first grade - Math and Reading skills are impressive and this is all owed to Kumon and hard work! The results are similar for Second grader who is in Hybrid Math and breezing through - test scores are top percentile within country! Rohini, the owner and head instructor is amazing. I started Kumon (at the Flower Mound location) at a young age (~5) and continued until 10th grade…read more Yes, I did not enjoy it growing up, but looking back, I am very happy that my parents placed me in this program. Math was pretty much a breeze during my entire childhood and adolescent years. I was able to focus on other subjects in school, because math wasn't something I had to worry about. As an adult, I don't need a calculator for every single math problem (unlike most people these days). A huge bonus is that I can compute discounts in my head when shopping and no one can rip me off! Kumon in a nutshell: Each student works through the program at their OWN pace. Children will develop a strong foundation as they repeat the worksheets, which explain and instruct students whenever a new topic is introduced, and therefore they can work independently. "Independently" is the key here. The basic premise of Kumon is very logical. Throw age and grade out the window. Kids will progress to the next level once they have good mastery of the material, which is based on accuracy and time. Some parents initially starting their kid on Kumon may find the level that they start at too low and an insult to their child's intelligence. But do not worry! Reviewing is beneficial and will give your child a very strong foundation. Remember, students only become weak in math when they haven't mastered the fundamental material. The review phase goes quickly. The amount of time spent is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. The staff at Kumon of Flower Mound are wonderful and will help your child(ren) become successful at school and beyond. They may initially complain, but once they start mastering the material, they will want to keep coming back! Trust me!
