And from my first visit, I was hooked by the skilled staff, and their attention to what I needed to have worked on. Given I travel a lot, I always have a kink in my neck or a twinge in my shoulders and Olivia is outstanding at listening to what I am trying to solve and then getting it done during my visits. Located in a nondescript office building on Iowa, this spa is a great find! Once you pull open the door, the sense of tranquility immediately hits you. Services are done on reservation only but they have a great website that makes it easy to schedule exactly what you want. Lara, the owner, is the person to see for a facial and came highly recommended by my friends. The service rooms are quiet, and if you go, you have to check out the restroom as the toilet truly earns the moniker "The Throne". If you are looking for a spa that will focus on your individual needs, then check out Sensora Spa. It's my new "go to" place!

Caitlin and Kelly were so nice and welcoming. They found out our personal needs and personalized our messages according to our needs. My daughter went for a more overall massage with emphasis on her sciatic nerve. My primary concern was the tightness in my shoulders, neck and head that is the cause of a very serious stress-tension headache I've had for the last 2 weeks. Caitlin was very thorough and took her time working through my tight muscles, focusing on my area of concern. I was surprised at how much time she spent on my head, it was amazing. My daughter's experience was similarly amazing. She was so pleased with Kelly, who could really relate to her Sciatica. I was very impressed. As a poor grad student who is constantly stressed, I am always in need of a good massage, but have the problem of being able to budget massage into my measly stipend. I thought my only hope was to get massages at the massage schools, but then I found Kamehameha! I've received massages from both Catherine and Shawn; both of them are extremely talented, though I prefer Catherine's style more (Shawn is great, I just prefer female therapists!). Catherine even teaches at the massage school in town, and I can only hope that all her students turn out to be just like her! Hour long massages are priced $34.50 for your first massage and $47.50 anytime (though I'm not sure why on their door it says $30 for your first massage? Kamehameha may want to either change the rates on their doors or on their website so they match). They seem to run a lot of specials for packages or couples massage as well! Definitely see myself as a long-time customer. Don't ever leave, Kamehameha! I'll be here for 5 years and I need you to help decrease my stress as I attempt to survive grad school :)
