And from my first visit, I was hooked by the skilled staff, and their attention to what I needed to have worked on. Given I travel a lot, I always have a kink in my neck or a twinge in my shoulders and Olivia is outstanding at listening to what I am trying to solve and then getting it done during my visits. Located in a nondescript office building on Iowa, this spa is a great find! Once you pull open the door, the sense of tranquility immediately hits you. Services are done on reservation only but they have a great website that makes it easy to schedule exactly what you want. Lara, the owner, is the person to see for a facial and came highly recommended by my friends. The service rooms are quiet, and if you go, you have to check out the restroom as the toilet truly earns the moniker "The Throne". There is a puzzling divergence between the few unhappy Yelp reviews of Dash Salon and the large…read morenumber of unanimously five star reviews on Google. But the Yelp reviews are not recent, so perhaps there has been a change at Dash. The location is somewhat of a problem. Dash is located in a building that includes Harmony Chiropractic and Rueschoff Security. But the neon sign on the street mentions only those two business and not Dash. In addition, the entrance to Dash is at the back of the building, so easily overlooked. Ashley from Salon Renew has moved to Dash. She is an excellent nail tech. Since Salon Renew has closed, I just went to Dash for a pedicure with my wife who got a manicure. As always, we were very happy with Ashley's work. We cannot comment on the hair styling or massage at Dash, since we have not tried them yet. But the facility is upscale and excellent. I would recommend giving it a try (if you can find it).

As a poor grad student who is constantly stressed, I am always in need of a good massage, but have the problem of being able to budget massage into my measly stipend. I've received massages from both Catherine and Shawn; both of them are extremely talented, though I prefer Catherine's style more (Shawn is great, I just prefer female therapists!). Catherine even teaches at the massage school in town, and I can only hope that all her students turn out to be just like her! Hour long massages are priced $34.50 for your first massage and $47.50 anytime (though I'm not sure why on their door it says $30 for your first massage? Kamehameha may want to either change the rates on their doors or on their website so they match). They seem to run a lot of specials for packages or couples massage as well!
