He wot trained much from the feel of it. My friend got "Steve" and he seemed to know more what he was doing. In a pinch, I might come back, but I would definitely ask for Steve. Foot massage is not reflexology, but both can feel great. I wish this place was better.

We had a really nice visit to this massage place. I had the 40 minute foot massage, which included…read morea bit of shoulder massage at the beginning. Hannah was my masseuse and she was very good. She used just the right amount of pressure and made me feel very comfortable. We were a bit confused (this was our first visit) by the NAME - "Tea Spa" made us imagine we would be served TEA while getting our foot massages (we have gone to another foot massage place in a different town that we thought was similiar and they did, indeed, serve tea). Not sure why this one in Lawrence has "tea" in the title, because there was no tea to be had. :) There was also confusion on checking out on the TIPPING. They had a big sign suggesting AMOUNTS to tip, and that if you tipped below a certain amount you basically were indicating that you were unhappy with the services received. However, the amounts listed were far more than traditional tipping percentages.... In retrospect, we figured they must be amounts for FULL BODY massage tipping as opposed to foot massages, but it was unclear and a bit uncomfortable and we all tipped more than I think we would have had the signs not been there (and more than we wanted to). So just be aware of that when you go - look at your total due and tip from THAT and do not be worried about the signs. The other masseuse, Coco, worked on my friends and they said she was great, too. She was very kind to us and after we were finished took time to talk and explain more to us (via a translation app which was cool!). If I lived in Lawrence I would visit this spot again. Overcharged, treated rudely, false pricing and breach of agreement…read more My daughter and I went to Tea Spa for massages yesterday. The signs outside advertised $50 hour long massages, but I was charged $120. I pointed out the error and two women said the price is $60, they are the new owners, and the special was only for the month of May anyway (it is still May). The signs just hadn't been taken in yet, they explained. I decided to just let it go, but removed a few dollars in tip. I was then questioned if I was only leaving $20 in tip, and they spoke about it among themselves in derogatory tones in front of us. On a bill of $120 that should have been $100? And that I've now spent ten minutes being hassled and hustled for? Yes, "only" a 20% gratuity. I then asked for my "frequent customer" card back--after 10 massages you earn a free service. I have purchased 9 in 6 months, for myself and for family and friends. I was told that my card was far too old, and that they would not even sign it until they consult with the new owners. (Moments earlier they had claimed to be the new owners.). They assured me that they would call me--without ever getting a number--which I finally wrote down before leaving, as they continued to insist they were right. I have taken my kids here, and referred several friends. Until now I have had good experiences here, but whatever is going on with the management now is dishonest. The two people I have always thought were the owners were present, as well as two unfamiliar people. I left with a headache and a nasty feeling about the whole thing. This is no way to do business. I am not holding my breath for a call from them, but I will post an update if they do get in touch to correct the situation.

She is definitely tuned in to her healing work. You can feel her expertise coming through her hands. She works quietly and confidently as she moves around your body. I get a sense that she knows me better than I know me because she understands what our soft parts are saying and she works with them not trying to out-muscle, but instead working gently with the body to coax it into wellness. She also talked TO me and not AT me. There is a vast difference in the two of those as well. And to break it down even further, she SPOKE with me. I loved that! After filling out the intake form instead of just telling me to get on her (very comfortable) table. She took the time to pull out her essential oils and let me see which ones resonated with me instead of just selecting them herself. When I mentioned I would like to return to my car get my headphones she immediately asked what kind of music I preferred and changed the music she had playing to what was relaxing to me. Not only that but her studio has an air of peace. Her touch is firm but gentle. I did not feel as if she was hurrying through my session nor that she was about her own agenda.
