I'm sure most reviews here just comment on the aesthetic or have never had good matcha because this place was grainy as hell. If you're not going to whisk (with a traditional whisk) the matcha perfectly so it's blended, then use a milk frother . Train your employees better because you're just wasting the matcha powder and it hurts to see. read more

Matcha Magic is an amazing addition to the CBD. The smoothie and açaí bowl were so fresh and delicious! I definitely have found a new favorite for açaí bowls! We had the Cloudy account smoothie and it was delicious. I love the coconut cream! My daughter loved the banana split açaí bowl and said it was so yummy and delicious. She wouldn't share lol. The cafe itself is so well done. The space is calming and chill so it's a great spot to sip and work in the area. We will definitely be back for some more Matcha Magic! read more

For that price point, I expected the food to feel fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Every juice available in the refrigerator had a best-by date of today. There weren't any options dated for tomorrow or beyond, which surprised me. If a product has reached its best-by date, I would expect either fresher options to also be available or perhaps a discount on the items that need to be sold that day. More concerning was the $12 tuna sandwich. The lettuce on the sandwich was visibly wilted/browning and appeared spoiled. Because it was a tuna sandwich, seeing ingredients that looked past their freshness immediately made me question the freshness and food safety of the entire sandwich, and I ultimately did not feel comfortable eating it. I understand that food costs are high and I'm happy to pay more for fresh, quality ingredients--especially when supporting a health-focused business. But spending almost $50 on a grab-and-go lunch and walking away both unsatisfied and concerned about freshness was really disappointing. I'm sharing this less to criticize the staff and more in hopes that the owners take a closer look at freshness, expiration/best-by dates, quality control, and pricing. At this price point, customers should be able to feel confident that what they're purchasing is fresh and safe to eat.

You're greeted as soon as you walk in, which immediately sets a positive tone. We decided to try the Matcha Lemonade and the Matcha Julep, and both were excellent. The Matcha Julep had the perfect amount of mint combined with the strong, rich flavor of matcha, creating a refreshing and unique blend. I was in town for a few days and was devastated to find Matcha Magic on the second to last day of my trip. It is one of the better matcha I have had in the states. Of course I went back two days in a row. Absolutely delicious matcha and an equally yummy smoothie. If you like a matcha latte where you can actually taste matcha instead of milk/cream, then this is the place to go. The strawberry smoothie I tried on the first day was phenomenal as well. I really enjoyed my visit to Matcha Magic! The Magic Matcha Latte was excellent, and the Perfect Date smoothie was absolutely spot on. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which always makes a big difference. The cafe itself is cute. It has a cozy coffee shop vibe and seems like the kind of place where you could grab a drink, sit down, and relax for a while. When I visited on a Saturday evening, it was pretty quiet. There was one girl working on a laptop, a group of friends who looked like they were catching up, and a couple waiting on drinks they had already ordered. Other than that, it was basically empty. It also appeared that there was only one employee working, so it was a good thing there wasn't a long line or anything. Customer service is a huge part of my experience when I visit a business. A place can have amazing drinks and a great atmosphere, but if the customer service is poor, it affects the entire experience for me. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged at all. Not a "welcome in," not a "hey, I'll be with you in a minute," nothing. I stood at the register looking over the menu while the employee finished making drinks for the couple who was waiting. Once she came over, I smiled and said, "Hey, how are you?" but didn't receive that same energy in return. There was no smile, no friendly greeting, and the interaction immediately felt very dry. Since it was my first visit, I asked what she would recommend for someone who likes sweeter drinks. She responded, "Everything here is sweet," but even that was said in a tone that felt annoyed and dismissive and didn't really help me narrow anything down. I was trying to decide between the Wedding Cake Latte and the Cookie Butter Chai. I then asked whether the Wedding Cake Latte actually tasted like cake. The reason I asked is because I've had plenty of experiences at coffee shops where a drink sounds amazing on the menu, but when you actually get it, it mostly tastes like coffee with only a tiny hint of the advertised flavor. A lot of times I end up having to add extra syrup because the flavor is so subtle. When I asked if it really tasted like cake, she responded, "Uh, yeah." In a tone that came across like a "duh" response. From the lack of greeting to the tone of responses, to the overall energy of the interaction, it all felt cold, dismissive, and like I was bothering her just by being there. I'm not from there and it was my first visit, so I was simply trying to make a decision, but I left feeling very unwelcome. I honestly considered leaving and saying don't worry about it because the interaction was that off-putting, especially since it wasn't busy at all. I decided to order anyways because I had already been anticipating trying it on this trip and had already drove all the way there. I ended up order the Cookie Butter Chai and it was really good. The flavor came through well. I just wish it was a bigger size. One small thing I noticed was that the drink came with whipped cream, but I wasn't asked whether I wanted it. It wasn't a huge issue because I don't dislike whipped cream, but I typically decline it when given the option. Since I didn't know it came with it and wasn't asked, I didn't really get the opportunity to choose. Overall, the atmosphere is cute, and the drink itself was good. However, I was genuinely surprised by the customer service because I had seen reviews describing the staff as friendly and welcoming, and my experience was the complete opposite. The drink was good, but the service left a negative impression.
