Don't let the pricing deter you from trying what I can confidently call one of the best casual dining experiences yet. A friend and I were so overwhelmed with the pizza selection, which included a great variety from classics like Margherita and Neopolitana to more exotic pies like Gallego (mozzarella cheese pizza with red sauce, octopus, garlic, parsley, pepper, olives, and oregano) and Mastropiero (also a red sauce pizza with mozzarella, jamón, peppers, anchovies, eggs, olives, and oregano). We were then introduced to the empanadas made in house daily, from which you could choose one with or without meat.
In the end, the owner helped us choose by suggesting we get one pie, un mitad de Prosciutto y la otra de Vegetal (half & half), as well as the Empanada de Maiz (corn). The pizza, although extremely cheesy, was super flavorful and loaded with vegetables and spices. The Empanada de Maiz was made with corn, onion, leek, and cumin - a warm, peppery mix of earthy flavors. After finally putting in our order, the owner told us that if we don't take out our phones and talk the whole time, we'll get free dessert (which I thought was adorable and a great trade off). Honestly, the food was so good that we didn't even think to take out our phones, and the only talking we did was about the magical flavors in our mouths. We brought up our plates and were then given a sampling of each of the three desserts - chocolate cake, cheesecake with blackberry jam, and dulce de leche (a chocolate-y condensed milk). After that was savagely devoured, we once again brought up the plate, and the owner asked if we'd like more. I guess our "no thank you" was not convincing, because she smiled and made us another plate.
