She has a bedside manner like no other and I'll miss her someday when I leave MA. I also love Amie- Dr. Mandel's administrative assistant- so sweet and if Amie says she'll find something out for you, she means it- always smiles and makes you feel like you made a great decision by going to their office. The waiting room is clean and there is a t.v to help pass the time if there is a wait. You won't mind if you do have to wait b/c you know that you'll get the same attention that Dr. Mandel is giving to whoever she has is the exam room.

I would go as far as saying that she could easily be a life coach as well - she is just that well rounded and genuine about what she does.

The way they treated us was dismissive, biased and verbally aggressive. When we told them they were being impolite, they responded with "If you don't like it, go somewhere else!". We will not be going anywhere else. This is our community and we are paying for the services they have committed to providing. We treated them with respect and expect the same in return. These are not quality employees. I'm shocked that AFC is employing people of low character and customer service skills. Hiring not one, but two, substandard and uncultured employees as the first impression with patients in our North Andover community is disheartening. I expected better from AFC. Then - we met Chris and Kayla (both absolutely amazing). Chris is the sole reason we are giving this place such a high review. He listened to us when we wanted to discuss the poor treatment by his front desk staff, then took steps to escalate our concerns. As a professional, he went above and beyond to provide immaculate care to my mother. We could not have asked for more excellent service. He is not only amazing at what he does, but he also advised us on the best way to be seen by Lawrence General. His advice worked. My mother, my grandmother, and others I know have experienced this firsthand. In over 15 years as his patient, I've never once had a condition treated directly by him. Every concern is met with a referral--never actual care. None of my medications have come from him, and if I manage to get an appointment when sick, I'm waiting at least a week. More often, I'm forced to go to urgent care or a walk-in clinic because his office has no availability. For regular visits, the wait is often two weeks or more. Just recently, my mother was told she'd need to wait three months just to have a consult. He now claims to be a "holistic" doctor, which was not disclosed when we first became patients. He refuses to support modern treatments like weight-loss medications, dismissing them entirely. If you're looking for a doctor who actually treats conditions, listens to patient concerns, and is available when you need care--this is not the place. On one occasion, he even came to my appointment wearing pajama bottoms because he had been napping upstairs. His office has an apartment above it where he sleeps between shifts, and he literally came down half-asleep to see me, which felt completely unprofessional.
