Also: I STRONGLY believe that Dr. Galizio, and Barbara at the office, along with one other staff member discriminated against me for being gay. It was very clear when I was mocked for having a feminine voice and they wouldn't make eye contact really and they're beyond rude to me, but nice to everyone else. Dr. Galizio and Barbara are Prejudice and made me cry. ANYONE even considering going to this Doctor's office, I'm warning you not to. Avoid this office at all cost. Just read the 4 Reasons why NOT to go to This office. Do NOT pick Dr. Stephen Galizio as you PCP, and It angers me to even say this, but RUN! The regime he had me on has stopped abruptly and it caused negative affects. He definitely is homophobic. He purposely this this to be petty because: THE ANSWERING SERVICE threatened me and made sure that I have to switch to a different primary care Doctor. Barbara I called the Doctor's office in the AM to talk about it and then she asked my name and put me on hold. Barbara answered, and she refused to listen to how I was treated and said "we've had this answering service for a long time and no complaints." Well I had a bad experience and I wasn't allowed to say what happened because she said she would side with the answering service and that I need to go to a new Primary Care Provider. I felt upset and frustrated. DON'T TRUST THEM. Barbara is homophobic. All thoughts my own. No deletion. Message me if this is problematic. I do have many lawyers

We arrived at the Emergency Department at approximately 4:15 AM, and after an incredibly long wait, we were still there at 11:22 PM. I understand that emergency departments can become extremely busy and that wait times can vary based on patient needs. However, what concerned me most was not only the length of the visit, but the lack of communication, urgency, and compassion we experienced throughout the day. Earlier in the day, my boyfriend was seen by Dr. Dylan. Unfortunately, despite being in significant pain, his care seemed unnecessarily delayed. His CT scan and IV treatment were not initiated until after the shift change, leaving him waiting for hours while continuing to suffer. It felt as though valuable time had been wasted instead of moving forward with the necessary testing and treatment. Later, Dr. Schyla Wante came in to speak with us. She asked whether my boyfriend had health insurance. Since we were visiting from another state, I politely asked if she could check whether his MassHealth insurance was on file in the system. Instead of answering my question or attempting to assist, she responded, "I don't know, you need to ask him," and walked away while I was still speaking. I found this interaction to be dismissive, unprofessional, and lacking the compassion that patients deserve, especially in an emergency setting. As someone who previously worked in a hospital in Miami, Florida, I understand that healthcare professionals work under pressure. However, patient care is about more than providing medical treatment--it also includes communication, respect, empathy, and making patients and their families feel heard. Those qualities were noticeably absent during much of our experience. I would also like to recognize Nurse Becca, who was the one staff member who consistently demonstrated kindness, professionalism, and excellent communication. She made an otherwise frustrating experience much more manageable, and I truly appreciate the care she provided. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Patients come to the emergency room scared, in pain, and looking for compassionate care. While I understand that delays can happen, there is no excuse for poor communication or dismissive behavior. I encourage the hospital to review this encounter and continue working to improve patient relations and the overall patient experience.

She is so caring and actually takes the time to ask questions and not only listen to but answer all of mine w/o making me feel like I am taking up her time. She has a bedside manner like no other and I'll miss her someday when I leave MA. I also love Amie- Dr. Mandel's administrative assistant- so sweet and if Amie says she'll find something out for you, she means it- always smiles and makes you feel like you made a great decision by going to their office. The waiting room is clean and there is a t.v to help pass the time if there is a wait. I made an appointment and visited Dr. Mandel and was blown away at her professionalism, honesty and downright knowledge of anything I was either curious about or interested in. She is a hands-on doctor who not only shows you how you currently stand health wise but helps you maintain or get to where you feel you want to be or where she thinks you have the potential of going. I would go as far as saying that she could easily be a life coach as well - she is just that well rounded and genuine about what she does.
