This office has changed I don't think it's the doctor's I think it could be their call center. My doctor's are very caring but the office staff doesn't try and get messages through to them. I have been very sick left messages and texted them through the pma patient portal it shows they reviewed my messages but never called me back. read more

Stay away! Called to become new patient. Spoke to 6 people some of which did not provide a name. There was a "Lu or Leah" and "Denise" and "Ariel" and "Donna." Each of these people either transferred me or the call disconnected 6 total times over a 1-hour period. The phone connection had static on 2 of the calls. They collected my info, asked about 20 health questions and texted me a link to complete registration with an invalid code. When calling back, the reception desk said that most of my info from registration team was missing from their system. They proceeded to tell me to update my insurance carrier with their info. Absolutely not! Just an overall mess and failure. How do they stay in business with such terrible customer service? read more

Had an appointment with my Dr,received a phone call changing the appointment to a different Dr. at a different PMA accepted it even though it was a month latter then my other appointment thinking it's OK. Three days before appointment received my confirmation text said yes. The day of my appointment it took me one hour to get there only to be told this Dr could not see me because I go to the other Dr., not happy at all!! This use to be a terrific place until Dr. Dixit left. He was a caring and attentive doctor. I chose a female PCP and she was the most uncaring and mean doctor I've encountered and I am not real young. Do yourself a favor and find another place to go as these people have changed. They send you to the ER for EVERYTHING! I will say Express Care is very good though. read more

Both of my parents have been going to Pentucket Medical since they moved back to this area in 2020. I have been a Pentucket Medical Patient for over 30 years. My father passed away 2 days ago and I went into his patient portal to thank his primary care doctor and three specialists for all their help. I wrote the first message to his primary care doctor and as I was writing to his cardiologist, Pentucket Medical disabled his account. I called technical services who refused to put it back on line long enough for me to thank his doctors. They said once a patient died they cancelled the account and if I wanted to contact one of his doctors I would have to call them. I also could no longer access any of his records that were in his account that I have been able to access for 3 years. I was told if I wanted those I would have to call medical records. I had hoped to donate his diabetes supplies and can't even get ahold of his endocrinologist. This is just the most heartless thing I've ever seen. If your loved one dies, get all the records you want from the patient portal before letting anyone know! read more

They NEVER have sick appointments with your PCP office. They refer you to the express care all the time. So instead of paying a regular office copay when you go there you pay triple the price because depending on which Doctor you see depends on their tier of copays. So instead of us paying 20 office visit copay to the pcp for sick visit , we had gone their and apparently the MD was considered a 3 tier specialist and they charged us a 75 copay. Stay away. You are also on hold for 60 minutes plus even before Covid, so wait time has always been that way so don't blame covid. read more

I've had some very bad experiences at PMA, but this time I lucked out. Needed to see someone urgently after some significant side-effects from a covid vaccine. I was referred to a very good and caring nurse practitioner named Brittany Edwards who not only assessed me but has continued to find practitioners at MGH who specialize in the care I need. Everytime i have an appointment here the wait is ridiculous. What is the point of making an appointment if its never kept on time. One time i sat( with a toddler) for 45 mins and now today my appt was at 8:45 and its 9:15 and im still waiting. Im sure if I was late they'd cancel my appt and make me reschedule. read more

Even if you don't have Covid The staff treats you like you do. My wife had a swollen face due to her wisdom teeth being removed 1 yr ago. The nurse asked if her neck or throat hurt she said yes and the nurse let the room and said she wasn't coming back. WTF? read more

Overall express care doctors have been awesome. Dealing with the office staff has been a nightmare,being put on hold for 20 to 30 minutes at a time only to be disconnected. I am changing today as we speak to a different doctor because of the office staff. read more

Dr. Goslyn Sylvan apparently has his head up his ass! overdosed me and had the balls to not even apologize! has no idea what he is doing, thinks an xray will show results for a torn rotator cuff...hmmm not an MRI doc???!!! I'm all set with ever seeing him again!!!! read more

After plenty of terrible doctors, I'm so relieved to have both wonderful primary care and specialists at Pentucket Medical's Riverwalk location. Every nurse and doctor I have seen at the Lawrence facility has been attentive, informative, and compassionate. They respect my wishes with regard to my medical care, and always do whatever they can to make sure that I am at ease. Every department shares notes through their network, so every doctor I encounter is well informed of my history, allergies, medication, and current medical status. The walk-in center is fantastic for non-emergency visits that can't wait for a primary care appointment. Pentucket Medical's team (primary, walk-in, and allergy) were able to solve a complex issue where my frequent infections and illnesses turned out to be a chemical allergy. Their communication and ability to share information is what led them to finding the root cause of a very complex medical situation. Other doctor's I had been to simply treated the symptoms instead of looking for a cause. I've met many of the various doctors in the walk-in over the years (they all rotate shifts there) and have never had a bad experience with any of them. Everyone from the Lab and XRay techs to the specialists and RNs really seem to be there for you. I hope I never have to find another medical center, because this one is awesome. read more

Had an appointment to see a specialist, and the doctor went home and canceled all his appointment. Here's where it gets good, they didn't call me to say it was canceled. I had to take the trip, wait in line for 10 minutes and then they told me it was canceled. No apologies no nothing. I'd give it no stars but is not possible. read more

Had to wait 2 months to get results from CT scan. Not happy! Still waiting on blood work results from the first week in July and Cologuard test submitted 5 weeks ago. Poor patient communication! Never going back to any doctor in that facility again. read more

I like this office for multiple reasons. First the location, second they have a lab, and third I never wait. However, if you have to call them, expect no answer, to be put on hold, or for the phone to be picked up and then with no care hung up. It has taken me more then one attempt every time I need a simple appointment made. Then I thought let me try the patient portal. I got a call back (phone message) saying I need to call to make an appointment! Yikes, they are dropping the ball with their patients simple requests. I hope if this is read they take it to heart to revamp the way their call system works. read more

Always an awful experience when coming here. Appointments are apparently made for no reason, no matter what time my appointment is for I'm always forced to wait 30 minutes for Dr. Rancier. Ridiculous how a doctors office cares so little about their patients and their time. read more

Lab work was to have been faxed to Lowell General Emergency Room-never sent it resulting in duplicate tests and blood work.

To start off, my primary care is Dr Sylvan and I have never met him in my 5 years of attending this practice. A nurse practitioner last year saw me for knee pain and told me to just rest and no other recommendations. She made me feel as if I was lying. I ended up in a knee brace for 6 months after and still can't run. They prescribe anxiety medication and depression medication in under 15 minutes, all you have to do is check off that your sad on their questionnaire. I went in for ADHD medication after being diagnosed by a behavioral therapist and was turned away because it wasn't diagnosed by them and it's a controlled substance. Weird because giving someone scripts for Prozac and Clonzapam in under 15 minutes is also a controlled substance. If you want real help from real doctors don't go here. Depending on which nurse you see you'll either get prescribed something too strong or be told to just wait it out and you'll get better. They do not take the time to evaluate anyone. read more

Was told we had a life threatening situation with my husband, yet no followup call (until I called several times), no next step to follow, and no plan of action. And if you want to actually see your doctor, forget about it. Get used to seeing the NP, she is all you will ever see. It is a factory, you are a number, and there is no "CARE" in this healthcare facility. You will be completely on your own to navigate the red tape, and find your own next level of care. read more
