Whole family has been long time patients. Me since the early 90s, husband since 2015 and son since birth in 2000. They are all I've known as an adult. 1st doc I had for 11yrs, second for about 8 and my current for the past 11 or so. (1st retired, 2nd left to go into research) Husband had 3. We just got dropped like a hot potatoes because we have Tufts insurance that we've had since 1998. They want us to switch to the MassGen Plan. No way! It's SO F expensive. Mass General is screwing people so bad. Mass Eye & Ear is included in the conglomerate. Another place we've been going to several times a year since the mid-90s. No where to go who is accepting new patients and they don't give a shit. They only care about money!! I'll never go back. read more

This place is horrible with communication, and to difficult to speak with a primary care physician. Everything goes through the porthole and if you lucky and actually find a doctor who reads the messages then good luck. Its always someone else replying and no service done. So please just ask to speak with manager. If you have a problem or just blow up the reviews then you will get a quick call. read more

I've been going to Pentucket for many years. Always received/receive great care. I see my primary, endocrinologist, pulmonary, diabetes instructor, and two other NP's. Care is top notch for the myriad of issues I have. Only one doctor was useless and he was asked to leave the group after only a short time there. No problem getting appointments and am always seen within ten minutes of the scheduled time. Receive test results very quickly through my Patient Portal. Also, communication through the portal is very good. I see the flood of one star reviews. These seem to be from people who do not understand the medical field, nor have the intelligence to use the Patient Portal. I have never experienced even one of the complaints they mention. Lastly, parking has always been a breeze, those complaints don't hold water. read more

gastronologist and doctors here will minimize your symptoms and diagnosis as much as they possibly can leaving you to suffer literally. Prescribing medications is all they do here so if you love drugs this is the place for u. They cant cure you but , your okay take these drugs and if those aint working try this one an this one an this one ... but refuse to deem your condition critically severe. this is the scariest place i have ever got treatment from and i wish that i never had anyone there involved in my treatment for my lifeterm severe condition. Pentucket Medical of Haverhill is right in the heart of Haverhill, next door to the Police station and seconds from the hub of Haverhill. The facility offers: * Adult Primary Care * Allergy & Immunology * Cardiology * Diabetes Care * Diagnostic Services * Endocrinology * Gastroenterology & Digestive Care * Laboratory * Nephrology * Pediatrics * Pulmonary & Sleep Disorders * Sports Medicine/Physical Therapy At first glance - looking at the building - it appears to be an old building. Parking is horrible, with an adjacent PAID parking lot and on street parking. It is very difficult to find a parking spot during normal business hours. If you have an appointment scheduled here, please take the time to arrive very early. Give yourself enough time to find a parking spot. Once in the building, finding the practice you need to visit - for first time visitors - is a bit difficult. There are menus on the wall but you need reading glasses to read the small print. There is a sense of filth when you walk into the building also. I had an appointment on the top floor. Taking the elevator to the top floor took nearly ten minutes in the very old elevator. Plan for that as well upon arriving. The place where I had an appointment was very small with a window to appear and give your name for the appointment. Seats are limited in the waiting area. I ended up canceling the appointment because of the long wait time and I was on time! I found a better practice nearby for treatment, and one that had free parking. The office does not validate parking either. Overall: Was not impressed with this facility and don't recommend it. read more

Pretty horrible experience and not going back. The doctor I initially saw was later fired, I went back for a specialty check up and was met with total disinterest along with an extremely high bill for a visit that was 20-30 minutes with nothing done aside from telling me to go get blood work. Which I asked if I could do prior to the appointment and was denied. When asking for clarification on why the bill was so high I barely got anything back and basically was told to just pay. End of the day I did not even get proper treatment but was referred to a place in Boston and was told not sure what they could do for me. read more

This place is terrible. I refer to it as a factory farm doctors office and this is it at its worst. I always show up early to my appointments and then am made to wait for 30+ minutes to see someone. Why is it that my 1:15 tuberculin skin test takes 20 minutes to have me in the waiting room, then another 15 minutes in the exam room waiting to see someone? I tried to make an appointment to get it read 2 days later and they told me to just drop by to get it read. I stopped by 50 hours later to only wait another 30+ minutes to get the test read. Then sit me alone in an exam room another 20 minutes to get entered into the system and printed. IT IS EVEN QUICKER TO READ THAN TO ADMINISTER!!!!!! Almost ONE HOUR to get a TB test read. This is absolutely heinous. As a nurse, it makes it even more frustrating to me. It takes less than a minute to look at someone's arm and read it. Don't make me an appointment for 1:15, then not have me seen until 1:55. Don't tell me to "drop by and we will read it quick" and have me wait over 45 minutes to be seen. In addition, I've been coming here for over a year and only just recently met my primary care doctor. She spent 15 minutes with me for my annual physical. I've seen the NPs and they actually spend some time with you, but they usually try to make your PCP do the annuals. At my physical, my PCP just ignored basically every complaint I had. I complained of a few issues I've had lately and she was like "nah you're fine, it'll be fine" more or less. You don't care about my pain? My mental health? My health history even?!? I'm changing primary care doctors tomorrow. At this point, I'd rather go back to being seen at Greater Lawrence Family Health. read more

My mother's primary care doctor Dr. Rameneni ordered an MRI for her more than two weeks ago. Her nurse called us two days later and told us we need to see an orthopaedic doctor and that they would be in contact with us with an appointment. Two weeks passed and I decided to call since no one called us. Dr. Rameneni's nurse told us we need to call the orthopaedic doctor ourselves- not what they told us two weeks earlier. I speak English I know what I was told. Okay so we called an orthopaedic to schedule an appointment and we were told by the orthopaedic that they can't treat us and we need to see a neurologist??? I called back Dr. Rameneni's office to get clarification left four messages and four days later no one has called us back. In the mean time my mother is in a lot of pain. Dr. Rameneni is a good doctor but her staff/nurse is extremely condescending, rude and disrespectful. I have left four messages and not a single call back. Totally unprofessional. Every time you call this place you're on hold for 10 plus minutes guaranteed- it's awful. They have the absolute worse management. No one ever calls you back. If I could given them zero stars I would - the one star is way to high a rating. read more

Who knows, they might have outstanding doctors? But the front office is so mismanaged that I'll never know. Three times I have tried to get through to their Express Care. Website will say wait is 40 minutes or whatever and then you click to actually reserve a spot and they are totally unavailable. So you call and go through a long, long, LONG hold that never picks up. I tested positive for Covid last night, so called the attending physician. He promptly called me back, and told me to wait by the phone the next morning, and someone would call me to schedule the Monoclonal treatment, as I am high risk. It is now almost noon, and I have not heard from them. i called the walk-in, who knew nothing about my issue. They transferred me to scheduling who also knew nothing. I got bounced around to 4 different department - none of whom knew anything. I think the doctors and nurse practictioners are decent, the the support staff absolutely sucks !!! They call, leave a message, then you can't get a hold of them. Their website doesn't even have the correct hours - which changed due to Covid. This place sucks - do not use them !!! read more

I've finally decided to leave this awful doctors office. They have the absolute worst WORST WORST customer service. Every time I try calling I end up on hold for 10-20 minutes and eventually give up. If I do get through, I get some ridiculous attitude from some nasty employee who clearly hates their job. They have messed up my prescriptions so many times in the past several years that I've lost count. I've talked to 5 or 6 people and have been assured that they will stop sending the 30-day supply to my pharmacy, which isn't covered by insurance, rather than the 90-day supply which is totally covered. I have been a Patient of PMA for 40 years and have left the practice. My reasons are as follows: - on hold for 30+ minutes - take up to two days to get a call back -never get to speak with the doctor - my 86 year old mother fell and had a subdural bleed then contracted Covid while at the hospital. My sister and I are nurses and called the office asking to speak with her doctor numerous times and always got the nurse practitioner. - my sister called specifically to get her started on a antibiotic and after waiting forever on hold, finally got a call at the end of the day and was told by the office nurse the Doctor did not have time to address it (Friday) and for us to monitor her over the weekend and call back Monday. - my 86 yr old father also got Covid from my mother and called his PMA Allergist to see if he could get the vaccine with his history of unrelated anaphylaxis and was told he doesn't talk with Pts on the phone anymore and he needed to make a appointment! Just to ask that question!!! - you only see your PCP for PE. If your sick they tell you to go to the walk- in center where for me, it's a $60 copay to see a nurse practitioner (most times) because they are all coded a "specialist" - my grand-baby gets sent to the adult walk in center when she is sick and sees adult practitioners. They said sometimes a pediatrician is there but we never saw one. -my daughter was worried over the babies lab work and again, 30+ minutes on hold with office nurse calling you back telling her she will give message to the NP. NP called back the next day. ( in process of leaving PMA too) I think it is very poor health care. They were bad before the pandemic in-terms of response time but are Terrible now. I now go to a much smaller practice. When I call the office, they answer the phone!!!! They assign a doctor in the practice to see "sick" visits everyday at the end of the day -no walk-in center! The doctors call their Covid patients everyday and have been know to go out to the parking lot to swab the nose for Covid test. *oh, after thought, PMA PCPs no longer do PAP smears with your physical- you gave to go to GYN. I've had two separate occasions where I called for each of my kids to be seen that same day and both times were told to stay home with a 102° fever and take some pedilyte and the other one is fine if you want someone to check them out go to our urgent care in Lawrence which then advised us to go to the Emergency room to have my daughter checked for meningitis that they clearly could've done instead of risking my daughters safety with Covid read more

Even if the waiting room is empty, you'll still wait upwards of an hour just to see the doctor(yes, that's with an appointment, not a walk in). No one ever picks up, you just get transferred into this numbing, dead-end recording that would go on for hours, I swear. Have never had an issue with the doctors but the office is horrible. First appointment was cancelled because they somehow had me under an insurance that was 20 years old. Next physical I get billed due to wrong coding. My husband just had a physical and the same thing happened. Called partners and they looked into it. The office said it was not a physical. Call the office - need to call billing. It was an endless loop. If you can't get billing and insurance correct in the office, how can you possible track medical records. Dr. Craig Weston-beware of this doctor. I had to move to Haverhill due to my husband's job transfer and being that I have RA I needed to get my doctors in line ASAP. I ended up at Pentucket Medical. This place has been the worst experience in my medical history of 11 years. Dr. Craig Weston is the worst. He recently wouldn't even fill a prescription that I have been on for 8 years. Not having this prescription will cause me to go through withdrawals, he knows that too. I was in the middle of switching to another doctor at Pentucket Medical, he said wait and have my new doctor fill it??????? He comes in after the Nurse; ask if I need refills and leaves. OH, I have disk issues in my back that flair up once in a while and when I told him I have disk problems and a back ache......he said "everybody has a bad back." I could ramble on about his unprofessionalism but I will not. I now see Dr. Negron. He is wonderful. read more

Worst medical practice for adults. They hold your refills hostage and make you come in before they will fill. I'm not talking pain pills. I'm talking blood pressure, anti depressant and cholesterol meds. It wouldn't be a problem to come in if the Drs weren't constantly leaving and your appts weren't cancelled. Pediatrics is great, but we are leaving as a family because their adult care is not care. They don't care about your well being. They only care about making money off your visits. I will literally never walk through those doors again! This place is an absolute joke and the fact that I've been going for 3 years makes me cringe. I went last night and saw a male doctor, mine didn't have any openings that night. I told him my list of symptoms. Daily dizziness for weeks, went blind in one eye in the middle of the night for a good 30 seconds and one pupil is now bigger than the other. Also that when I wake up in the morning I cannot feel my hands or move fingers at all until I do some exercises. He didn't even get out of his chair. Told me I have vertigo. Didn't even look into my eyes with a light to check pupil reflexes. Asked me if I had a tennis ball at home to squeeze. Then handed me print outs of things to do to help my "vertigo". Now I'm no doctor. But if I had a patient tell me these things I would at the very least look into eyes where one pupil has gone blind and changed size! And with stroke in my family maybe even more so!!! Today I will be finding a new doctor and talking to someone in that building about the negligence I dealt with. read more

Pentucket Medical is horrible. You never see a doctor unless you schedule appointment several months in advance. They have the worst nurse practitioners. I was misdiagnosed several times over my years with them. The last time I had pneumonia which they diagnosed as a respiratory infection. I was sick ten days before finally going to Executer ER where I was immediately admitted to the hospital for three days because my pneumonia had gone septic. Was informed by Pentucket that my primary care doctor had over 3000 patients. I have left Pentucket for a smaller practice. read more

I showed up for my physical 15 minutes early. I was still waiting with no acknowledgement from the desk well over an hour later. When I finally went to the desk to ask I was first ignored, then snapped at. They are busy and have other patients. By now I was fuming and when I finally was brought in I told the nurse she should wait to take blood pressure because I was agitated. I said I was f-Ing upset. So I was scolded by nurse and dr, at which point I left. I have to leave work for appointments and my time is valuable too. read more

Horrible Customer Service. They cancelled their affiliation with Tufts Health Plan halfway through the year with no notice. They claim they sent me a letter, never happened. Also, the first doctors visit, they took my Tufts card, ran it through,took my co-pay and said I was all set. On my referral to another PMA doctor, I specifically asked her if she took Tufts because I had found that Mass General and others did not. This Andover office told me that they did take tufts. Now, five months later I received a bill for $433.00. I called up to find out what the mistake was, I received a one sentance answer that they cancelled Tufts. See you in court. read more

I see several doctors within Pentucket, I absolutely love Dr Toth! He is the best endocrinologist I have ever worked with. I have been diabetic for 14 years and since seeing Dr Toth, this is the first time my sugar has been well under control! Thank you Dr Toth, you're awesome! His team of educators are fantastic as well, Joan and Marcia are fantastic, they are helpful and knowledgeable and I feel I can ask any of them anything!! What a great team!! read more

Had a blood pressure issue-very very high due to recent chemo treatment. Waited 40 minutes to reach the "first fence"-a man who relayed the message to the office of the doctor. Was called back rather quickly by some unidentified person and am now waiting once again. High blood pressure anyone! read more
