A ride straight to/from the airport will cost double and triple (or more) if the app is surging and they jack up the price. The irritation to commute in your own car, and the cost to park isn't worth it, IMO! The airport really isn't in "Denver", it's a way out in some suburb and they redrew the lines so they can call it "Denver". So, the drive to the airport from ACTUAL, real Denver can be a huge pain and just forget about it if it's rush hour. The train won't get caught up by this yucky traffic! The train is clean, comfortable, and feels safe as far as my experiences have gone. There is someone walking through who checks the tickets. I probably have had a couple rides where they didn't check, but not many, and that I recall this hasn't happened anymore recently -- as they do more often check, which is probably best for everyone. If you're new to Denver, spend some time if you can at Denver Union Station if this is your destination/departure stop. iIt's a very cool atmosphere with several places to eat/drink at inside. And there's a huge patio outside if the weather is nice.
