This location recently moved from another location so it's still very fresh and new. The fabric bolts are now on a slanted display racks, allowing them to stock/you to see more fabric at once, with a goal of making as much product available and as easy to find as possible. Wifey is usually able to find what she needs (or a reasonable facsimile) at this store and it's not uncommon for us to spend several/many hours trying to find that fabric or crafty doo-dad that will make her craftery awesome. My lot in life in these cases is to provide some creative in put, help find the perfect fabric or accessory, and to push the cart. The staff here is 100% helpful. We've been here many times and it doesn't matter who you ask, they know where it is or what you need. Since she's on the Joann mailing list she's always got coupons on her phone for something or other. Quite often what she's looking for is on sale, so #BONUS. One interesting note at this location is the restroom situation. Most any retail outlet you go to has a Mens and a Ladies restroom. Not so much the case here, and it actually makes sense. They've got a dedicated Womens restroom and the other is Men or Woman. When you think about it, a significantly larger portion of their clientele is probably women. While at first I thought someone made a mistake with the signage, in retrospect it makes perfect sense. There is also a baby changing station in each. There are aisles in this store that I have never been down. Seriously. Picture framing? Buttons and Bobbins? Upholstery? Wood crafting? Yea, none of that's me. If you're a crafterer (I make up a lot of words), this place is 100% what you need.

So I made a quick call to the store to make sure it was in stock before making the drive. I was quickly transferred to the head of that department, who went and checked, then told me that yes, they were in stock, and quoted me the price. After arriving and finding my pack, I made a point to ask if the woman stocking shelves was the same woman I'd spoken to on the phone. She was, and I thanked her for her help, and we chatted for a bit. She told me she was glad I found everything ok and asked if I came to the store often. I told her that I generally make it to Michaels once a year when it's time to enter my state fair photos. She told me that she shops there even on her days off. At checkout, the pack rang up for higher than the quoted price. When I questioned this, the cashier not only made the point to check the price, but found a coupon, making it cost even less. Everyone I dealt with at this store went above and beyond, all for a once-a-year customer spending less than $10.
