We stopped in with a group during the February 2017 first Friday hop, which had the galleries in NuLu staying open late and welcoming riff-raff like me and my friends to get some culture.
Garner Narrative was probably my favorite of the night. You think it is a rather small space, but SURPRISE, this is the Tardis of galleries! There were several rooms and hallways and cubbies of art that just kept leading back to the rear of the building, to the room with fruit and cheese and fancy water.
The greatest part of our visit and this event on this particular night, was that the featured artists were in attendance! We got to speak to Donté Hayes (of Atlanta) about his work in the first room. He was super friendly, and it was really an nice surprise to get to interact with the creators of the art. And I really enjoyed his pieces! I heard after the fact that another artist was there, but I did not get a chance to speak with her.
I really liked what was on display here. Colorful, bright, and bold.
100% would recommend visiting! read more
