They also found an organization for us to donate our kitchen items that we no longer needed, who gave it to a family whose house had recently burned down. I called service Master and spoke with Gene who initially said he didn't want to come out to our house because they had been receiving so many requests due to the rain but agreed to put me on the list to come out to do an assessment anyway. A few days later he called me back to tell me that he was coming to do my neighbors house, but he's not going to do my house. He recommended that we try to call another company. Now we have to call another company and be put on their list which will take even longer for somebody to come out and assess the damage. Rather than him agreeing to come out, I feel like he should've just said no I don't have the time or the resources. The weekend is coming up so that's going to be even more time that water sits in our basement unattended. Late on a Sunday night, they responded to my Yelp inquiry and Carlos was there within hours. Carlos kept me informed of his eta as he was on another emergency call. He brought all the equipment in and got everything setup for the drying and clean up, taking care to move my dad's furniture. Carlos was very efficient and checked in repeatedly to ensure everything was drying out, also removing baseboards to allow the walls to dry out.
