Okay so I NEVER get my hair cut just because every time I do I'm dissatisfied. It takes years for my hair to grow so any mistake will last. I came here because I couldn't stand it any longer and needed to at least trim. Julie is the one who helped me then and will continue to as long as possible!! So I went in for a simple bangs trim for my daughter. The little Asian lady is so rude! She was just standing around the cashier and then goes "find someone else. I can't" Not even attempting to ask the other hair stylist if they can do a quick bang trim. I do not recommend this place terrible customer service. read more

I have been going to this particular MasterCut's for well over 5 years now. The service is friendly, and I always go to the same stylists. Both provide friendly service, are great to talk with, and are consistent. Ask for Julie or Katee. Both are amazing! Although I have a "short male cut" my hair is pretty particular to style and takes some time to cut. Both are equally patient and take precision when cutting. So happy i gave Mastercuts a chance after getting horrible service at regis upstairs last year.. my hopes of finding quality at the moval mall was low but definitely will be coming back. Lindsey the manager redid my ombré and cut exactly like i asked and i had over 40 inches of hair! I went in at 8:15pm and only wanted to get a trim- no wash no styling, just a trim. Lyndsey refused to take me even though they close at 9 and there was another stylist there. She was being lazy and already doing the closing paperwork 45 minutes before they close. How do I know? Because I worked at master cuts in Lakewood mall so I know how it goes. So I took a picture of the time and told her I'd be calling corporate to let them know she refused to trim my hair even 45 minutes prior to closing. And when I walked out I realized I didn't get her name. So I call the salon and when j asked for her name she immediately clicked on me. So I called again and she played dumb saying she didn't hear me. And as I was leaving the mall she saw me (I had to walk past it, I parked outside of JC penny) she sarcastically waved at me. Me being a prior stylist for Mastercuts know how it's supposed to be and I was completely disrespected and belittled. Worst customer service I've ever gotten and I will definitely call corporate tomorrow morning. read more

I've been here twice and both times i left with nothing close to what I asked for. Yesterday, I was almost in tears bc my hair was not what I asked for and was butchered SOO short and incorrectly. This is NOT the place to come to if you want a shorter style (any type of A-line bob). I don't think they know how to cut them correctly. read more

Okay, so I actually got my hair cut at the MasterCuts in Ontario Mills. But my stylist said he was actually just "on loan" from this location, and I wanted to give him his props! Rich is the stylist who cut my hair - and he was amazing. My hair was waist length, and I went to a length grazing my collarbones. He was so patient and understood how nervous I was to make such a big cut. I so appreciated the extra time he took. He could've easily just chopped it all off in one swoop but he took the time to do it little by little, to make sure I was 100% comfortable and happy with my new hair! Came here over the weekend because I was in desperate need for a cut. I first stopped by on Saturday afternoon to try and walk in but they were booked. I scheduled an appointment for the next day with Yesenia. I checked in and sat in her chair and she asked me what I was looking for. I told her what I wanted and she got started with washing my hair. She took about 10+ minutes washing my hair and it was so relaxing and she was very thorough. She didn't rush it at all and it was great. We went back to her chair and she started snipping away. We chatted it up and she was very helpful with questions/products she recommended for my hair type. I just got the haircut, no blow dry and style, which may be extra. I couldn't wait to get home to finish it. I went home dried and styled it and I was just amazed as to how great it came out. She pretty much gave me what I wanted. I will definitely be back and for the price, about $18, for a cut, you can't beat that. read more

Im a guy and i got a shorter heavy set Mexican young woman with blonde hair (dont remember her name) asked her to cut a low fade and she went seemingly as high as possible. Idk about female cuts but for male i would not recommend her. Where to begin? I came in on a Saturday and right away thought it was going to take forever. The salon had its first clients of the day and I was one of them. I walked in and was greeted by the hairstylist. Just a cut and style. My hair needed a major trim. Francis was able to help a girl out. She started by getting me ready for a wash. Right away I felt comfortable as we talked about my plans for the day. She assured Me that I'd be happy with my results. Then she sat me down and we talked about just how much the cut off would be. I have never let a ANY hairstylists cut more than 2 inches or so no matter how bad my hair needed it. I'm definitely one of the more difficult customers when it comes to haircuts. Something about the assurance in her words truly helped calm my nerves. When she cut off nearly 6 inches of hair I didn't even flinch. After the cut she styled it for me. In all of the times I've been to the salon I've never left entirely satisfied until NOW. Thanks to Francis I now have a new style that I would have never been bold enough to try. My hair feels healthy, bouncy and so soft. I literally cannot stop running my fingers through it. I'm definitely coming back to her in a few weeks to get a treatment. I honestly hate to give any place a bad review but I seriously had an awful experience. My stylist was Frankie and he was the rudest stylist I have ever gotten a hair cut from. I have had a lot of bad hair cut experiences so I tend to shy away from hair salons for fear of yet another bad hair cut. I finally had to go in since I had a moderate amount of split ends and my layers had grown together. The first thing I hear as I walk in for my appointment is about how he doesn't want to be their and how he is still recovering from his night out. I thought this was extremely unprofessional and was my first indicator at an awful experience. As he begins to wash my hair it seems like he is trying to embed his fingernails into my skull. If I honestly wanted to have my scalp left this sore I could have gone to a bar and have got into a bar brawl. As he began to cut my hair he again continually kept pulling my hair as if he were trying to rip it out from the root. Now with all that in mind he still decided to leave my soaking hair in my face while he decided to run to the back and figure out when he should schedule his next vacation all the while I'm just left there in the chair. Even if my experience was bad I figured he could at least redeem himself with a good haircut which wasn't hard to do since all I went in for was a trim (less than an inch was cut), but no even my "trim" left me with uneven layers. So I'm sorry for the bad review but at least the stylist I had was completely unprofessional, rude and obviously didn't have the knowledge or skill on how to perform a simple even trim. Master Cuts needs to seriously reevaluate who they hire and train their staff in basic customer service skills. I was a very unsatisfied customer to say the least! read more

They had a lot of people in there when I went but they told me I would be able to get a perm that night. After waiting an hour for someone to see me, the girl said it was too late for a perm. The store was open for another hour and a half and its never taken longer than that to get a perm. Needless to say I wasted an hour of my time for no service. read more
