Minimal to no responsive, poor customer service - would not use or trust. Called MasterCraft on Thursday night for tech the next morning. Tech came on time (about 0830 Friday morning), looked at the water heater then said parts need replacing. He thought I was going to order the parts from Bradford White (first bad assumption). Secondly, I heard nothing from MasterCraft Plumbers all day unless I called them. I finally called them a second time around 3pm, still without an estimate or status of parts or anything else, and the only thing they told me was the tech had to cover for another tech and was very busy. Tech finally responded to tell me he had no additional information and "had been trying all day". At 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon, I moved onto another plumbing company. We own a condo in North County. Our neighbors called to say there was water coming out of the garage. They opened the garage door and discovered that the water heater had literally blown apart. Water was gushing everywhere. I called MasterCraft and their dispather sent Travis G out to the rescue. He arrived, quickly assessed the situation, and shut off the water supply. He told me it was a rare circumstance, 1 in 50, where the waterheater literally blew apart. He disconnected the water heater, put a cap on the supply line and a valve on the hot water side. Then he could turn the water back on which supplies 6 condos in our building. Travis talked to me, detailed the situation, and even recommended a restoration company (who came right away) that he had used. He then gave me a very fair quote for a new water heater to be installed when the restoration folks are ready for it. While working on foundation repairs, my contractor hit a small water line below grade. The first plumbing company to respond attempted to upsell me to a full-house repipe. When I said no, they refused to make the repair. We then called MasterCraft, who responded quickly after hours. Edgar repaired the line in no time and, when he noticed my downstairs (only) water pressure was low, went above and beyond to clean two clogged faucet aerators which resolved that problem too. I put out a "project need" on Yelp for a clogged sink and no joke I had a call from these guys minutes later, an appointment booked for the next day (a Saturday) and no premium for weekend work1 I asked bc I feel like that's normal for plumbing companies but not these guys. Master Craft sent Daniel to install a new kitchen faucet and a non-electrical bidet for me. Both Daniel's demeanor and professionalism were outstanding. The kitchen faucet install went smoothly but due to limited space behind my toilet he was unable to connect the bidet without removing the toilet for an additional charge. The base of the toilet was cracked and leaking a bit. After the MasterCraft plumber, JJ, removed the toilet it was apparent that the floor flange was bad (probably the original) and needed to be replaced. Love this company. I have used them many times. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed the plumbing side yet. My mobile home had a nasty egg smell in the kitchen and it was only when the water was running. They came out and cleared my drain. Fixed the problem, I didn't even realize a clog was the problem because water wasn't backing out. I can't say the price was the best as I've seen ads for cheaper drain clearing but it was still reasonable and not an issue to pay. Our water heater started having problems so I had a tech come out. He offered great advice and was pleasant as all the employees with mastercraft. They also have experts for manufactured homes so you will feel at ease as some plumbing and repair issues are different than other homes. Free and quick estimates makes it a 5 star. I also appreciate the professionalism and respect for customers that I have experienced and it shows in some of the other reviews of people who have had minor issues. I used another division of mastercraft and had a disappointing first impression. Had a water hammer problem that no one was able to solve. Until these folks showed up. Previous diagnoses included "maybe it's the pressure regulator". Replacing that did not fix the problem, and cost $400. Next up, "maybe it is the irrigation valves". $1350 and didn't fix the problem. Finally I gave mastercraft plumbers a call. The tech showed up next morning, I explained the issue, and the tech did what no other was able to, pin it on a worn out toilet flush valve. Rather than charge me, he told me it was a DIY job, and $20 later, I installed and configured the new toilet valve myself. And the water hammer went away. Charge for the advice? Nothing. I even offered to pay for the advice, but he just smiled and said "no worries". I don't expect my next plumbing need to be so easy, or given freely, but I will be calling mastercraft again.
