I put my claim in from my insurance app, and all appointments were made for me. When I got here at 9AM. The very nice lady already knew I would be coming. Paper work was ready to be signed. A call to worker to look at my car, and all was checked in before the rental arrived. Impressed is an understatement. I picked & and trusted this place based on the 4.5 starts they have in YELP. The lobby / waiting room is very nice and clean, welcoming and inviting. From what I see, this office is moving smoothly by two ladies in the office. "Woman power" The bright lights really make the place look great. So this will have several updates to it as the process of getting my car repair works out. Day 1 check-in process, they get 5 stars . Day 2. The insurance company did the appraisal and approval for the work to be done. When you want it total, they fix it. If you want it fixed, they total it. Lol. I am told it will take about 15 days. I will wait until this Thursday to go by the auto body place and get an update on it personally. At that time, it will have been 10 days. And believe me. I miss my car. Lol

Since this saga began on 8/17, I have never received a phone call from the shop regarding the status of my car save a reply to an email from the new "general manager" with whom I filed the original compaint. Each day, I waited until near close of business for a status report. Each day, I had to call the shop to hear more promises of future delivery. As of now, I am scheduled for a 8:00 AM pick-up tomorrow (8/29). Naturally, the length of time the shop has had the car, the previous poor paint job, the poor customer service, and the broken promises require that the car now be 'perfect', without defects! Poor customer service, poor quality, poor management! In advance of my pick-up and inspection, I CANNOT RECOMMEND the Maaco-Plainfield shop, nor Maaco which must be held responsible for its brand! Picked up car today (8/29). I am still, at least, one return visit short of total satisfaction! Will have to schedule return. Manager (Joe) indicated that they would need it for a day. They have had the car more than I have in recent weeks! Once again, poor performance, but I can not let them off the hook!
