Foods were nice, and the portion is huge. The service is ok since there's no server. The atmosphere was chill.

Peameal bacon Sammy!

August 14/2024: Lunch with my Al. This was pretty darn good. Big portion at a reasonable price. I had an absolutely delicious peameal bacon sandwich with raw onions, tomatoes & mustard ($8.99 Combo). The fries of the combo were well done & crispy & I added a side of gravy for $.65. The gravy was ok but not great. If you added ketchup it became great. This place if NOT 5 star dining, but it is pretty darn good!

amazing place. husband talked so highly of this place from when he used to come here about 15 years ago with his dad so we made it a point to find this place and come tey it out. this place does not disappoint. breakfast is amazing. price is totally affordable. defiantly a must visit.

My experience here was "crummy"
Ray M.

In a word: dreadful. It has been many years since I have wandered in here and it will be many more before I wander back. Firdt, you will be greeted by flies circulating the register rather than an employee. Although to be honest, there were so many flies I have reason to believe they are on the payroll. The menu looked promising and reasonably priced, but once seated in the worn banquettes to await my order it was clear the dining area gets little, if any, cleaning attention. Perhaps the last time was when these worn and cracked seats were installed. My good arrived, and my 5 oz NY steak was difficult to cut into, being a sinewy and tough cut, and it was also cooked to thr wrong temperature, medium instead of rare. It would have been an easy mistake to make since the cut was also paper thin. The eggs were ok, but it is nearly impossible to ruin sunny side up. But the dry, crusted hash broens were horrible and no amount of seasoning could salvage them. As I write this, I am watching a meeting of yet more flies on a gentleman's back, they are clearly well fed because the customers don't eat much of the food. This place needs to go out of business once and for all.

Hubby was in the mood for steak and since we happened to be in Mississauga it was a no-brainer; Master Steaks here we come! We could smell the aroma of grilled meats as we entered the parking lot; it was gonna be a good night! Last time we took our order to go but this time we decided to dine in. This old diner is in desperate need of a facelift but that has no bearing on the quality of the food. We placed our order with the friendly cashier then sat down at one of the booths to wait for our number to be called. From the looks of the picture menu, last time we were here we actually had the Delmonico steak. Today we're trying the Rib steak with a side of veggies, roasted potatoes and a Caesar salad ($0.99 extra for the upgrade). Since the steak sauce came in such little containers we asked for another one; they were nice enough not to charge us extra. Our steak turned out beautifully; it was nicely seared on all sides with grill marks and a little bit of char around the edges. It was cooked perfectly even though it was a thick slab of meat. The steak was juicy and tender. The Delmonico was more tender than the rib steak but the rib steak was more flavorful than the Delmonico. Took away a star because I still haven't found good enough sides to go with the steak. The cooked veggies (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) were overcooked, I didn't like the taste of the roasted potatoes however the Caesar salad was decent once I took off the stale croutons (they top it with Bacos if that makes a difference to anyone). This is the only place we're coming to if we want steak; the trek from East York to Mississauga is totally worth it. The fact that it's open till the wee hours of the morning is also a BIG draw for us dedicated meat eaters.

I came here after a couple hours of climbing at Top Rock with a group of 6 and we were famished and ready to eat. We were not disappointed! For $18.99 I got a 12oz rib steak with caesar salad (extra $1.99 charge) and french fries. I asked for my steak medium rare (is there any other way to have steak?!) and was delighted to cut into it and see a perfect medium rare. It was seasoned nicely (not overly salty) and I didn't find myself needing extra flavor/gravy. The french fries were not impressive so I would pass on that next time and go for the mashed potatoes. Most of my friends got the 8oz New York striploin with 6oz BBQ ribs and a side for $17.99. They also loved it. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this place. Getting a beautifully cooked steak for under $20 is so rare to find in GTA! I'll definitely come back here and am excited to try their other steaks.

Master Burger with homemade onion rings
Chris L.

Master burger, two large hand made burger patties with bacon and the works. And homemade onion rings. Only complaint was that bun couldn't handle the strain of weight and wet condiments. It's a throw back place. No frills diner / truck stop vibe. But food was good and prices to match. Excellent for what it is.

A definite if you are in the area. They are known for their steaks but also serve burgers, ribs, chicken and souvlaki as well. Price is fair and portions are HUGE! My steaks have always been cooked perfectly. You have your choice of NY, Ribeye or TBone in 8, 12 or 16oz... side includes salad and your choice of fries, potato or rice. I get the steak with 1/2 jumbo shrimp.

Master Steak! Master Steak! When I asked my yelp buddy where he has to visit on our A Day of Mississauga outing.. that's all he kept saying.. OK, Master Steak here we come! 8oz/10oz/12oz/16oz - TBone/NY Steak - Baked Potatoes/French Fries - Well Done/Medium/Medium Rare/Rare.. choices and more choices... decisions and more decisions. That older lady at the cashier kept giving me pressure to make all these decisions! 16oz NY Steak cooked Medium Rare with Baked Potatoes and Salad ($16.99) - 16oz fresh off the grill steak! Medium Rare is a little dry..since the steak was almost cooked through with just a hint of pink..so Rare might be a better choice Come to Master Steak for the food if you are a meat lover!! Cheap, Simple, Down to Earth both in their food and their decorations and even their patrons. Truckers are nice people... and sometimes they are a lot nicer and polite than some of the drunk people I met in a club... Don't ever bring your date here until you certain that she is really into you... if not, she might never willing to go out with you again! :)

Menu offerings differ depending on where you're seated. The first time ever having gone, I had learned about their happy hour menu but we were seated in the dining hall and had made reservations there. The restaurant was packed! I really wanted to try their happy hour offerings and was delighted that they allowed us to, given where we were seated. Our server, Sean, was wonderful. He made our dining experience memorable. That night we ordered chili garlic shrimp, furious fries, ahi tuna tataki and received wild mushroom & goat cheese dip on the house. Everything was delicious. We all liked the shrimp, it had a kick. 3/4 liked the fries, since it contains truffle oil and gran padano, one of our party members wasn't a fan. We all enjoyed the dip and I ate the rest of the tuna tataki as part of my meal. In addition to this, we each ordered a meal. One person got the oven roasted chicken, another the prime rib, another the top sirloin and me, the mussels in white cream sauce. I was enjoying my steamed mussels until I was met with granules of sand at the very last bite. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. Another time, went back for steak, salad and escargot. The escargot was tasteless. Neither myself nor the person I was with enjoyed it. Keg makes theirs way better! Good cuts of steaks and flavours. Had the burger on one occasion when a craving struck. Sat at the bar, had a drink and people watched. Will return again. It's a convenient location and drive. Free parking in the lot next to the hotel. A high end restaurant with good service and ambiance. Lighting is at times too dim but adds to the romance, I guess.

There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Blackened Lamb Chops (weekly special). 7. New Orleans Fisherman's Plate ($39.95). 8. Pecan Pie warmed with Ice Cream ($14.95). 9. Bananas Foster ($14.95). 10. Beignet ($14.95). Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

At first, the location felt a bit odd and made me wonder what to expect, but once inside, the atmosphere was actually very nice and welcoming. The seafood was excellent, and the grilled bass was amazing -- that was my favorite dish of the night. The other dishes we tried were also very good, but the grilled fish really stood out for me. The owner also mentioned that they'll be moving soon to a larger location near the Etobicoke lake area, which sounds exciting. With a better location and more space, the atmosphere should be even better, and I think the restaurant will do really well. Definitely a place I'd recommend, and I'm looking forward to visiting again after they move.

The menu leans fusion, so there was a lot to try, and overall it felt like a fun place to share plates and compare notes with the table. The cocktails definitely stood out for being stronger than the usual lighter, sweeter drinks you get elsewhere, and the smoky cinnamon one was probably the most memorable. For appetizers, the beef tartare with bone marrow was the clear winner for me. The tartare tasted bright and fresh, and the marrow was rich without feeling greasy. The mussels were also enjoyable, mostly because they were fresh and sat in a creamy broth that made the whole dish feel comforting. We also tried the octopus with pumpkin purée, which had a nice chewy texture and a lovely sweetness from the purée, although a slight charred taste came through more than I personally wanted. For mains, a few dishes landed better than others. The ribeye with chimichurri was one of the stronger choices, tender, properly cooked medium rare, and especially good with that sharp, herbaceous sauce. The ribs were also very tender and full of flavor. The salmon in puff pastry was enjoyable enough that I would order it again, even though the pastry itself was a little softer than I expected. The udon carbonara was decent and comforting, but probably not the most memorable thing on the table, and the signature chicken had flavorful meat even if the rice leaned a bit too soft for me. One small complaint I kept coming back to was the bread, which tasted more charred than I like. Still, Wilcox feels like a nice little spot for a relaxed dinner with drinks, especially if you go in the mood to share, explore the menu, and order a few of the stronger dishes.

The best thing we ate that night was the complimentary bread - very similar to Yorkshire pudding. The wagyu fried rice was flavourful. The appetizers were mid and the Chef's Tasting steaks were ok albeit served lukewarm. The 30 days aged 32 oz bone in ribeye was extremely disappointing. It was very chewy and difficult to eat. Lots of fat and tough veins in the steak - it was not quality and definitely not worth $302. We didn't even eat half of it. Our server asked us if we wanted to pack it and we said no because it was disappointing and difficult to eat. He likely did not have training on how to respond as he completely ignored the comment, no apologies or further questions and cleared the rest of our table. It was really odd service for a highly rated steakhouse. I personally would not recommend Jacobs & Co and would not dine again here.
