Late review, but I had Art come by to fix 3 generators of mine, and he did a great job. Came by quickly, was upfront about costs and had it done in a day. Art serviced my zero turn mower for about six years. This time around, when I attempted to reach out multiple times to schedule an appt. he refused to return multiple calls, VM's and txt's. Apparently, he is not in the business of providing 'superior customer service" as his website states. A simple call back is all that was needed. We have a John Deere Riding Mower that was not starting. I called 2 other mechanics for diagnosis on the problem. First mechanic cost $75 and said it was a valve problem. Second mechanic charge me another $75 and wanted to take it to the shop and open the engine. I called Art, he was here within 2 days and had the problem fixed within 10 minutes! It was a flywheel pin that was broken, change the pin and it was good to go! No valve problem and no opening the engine for $$$. Highly recommend Art as he is knowledgeable and reasonable cost. I could not get my lawn mower to start and a neighbor of mine recommended me to contact Master Mechanics, which has recently repaired his tractor. When I called, Art (the owner of the business) answered the phone. He was nice and polite. He asked me some details about my mower, and we scheduled an appointment for the next day. He has a mobile shop, so you do not even need to go anywhere, he will come right to your house! And the best part of it, I even didn't have to be at home, so we agreed, that I will just leave the mower for him in my back yard. After doing diagnostic tests Art called me, explaining, what prevents engine from starting, described repairs that have to be performed and provided me with an estimate. In addition, Art sent me pictures of parts causing malfunction. I do not know anything about engines, so I showed pictures to my colleague, who restores antique cars. He said that Art's diagnose is accurate and the price of repair is reasonable, so I went ahead with confidence. About one hour later, Art sent me a text letting me know that he fixed my mower and put it back in the back yard. When I called him to pay for his work, he was nice to provide me with lots of tips on how to prolong life of my lawn mower and what to do to prevent the original problem from happening again. Amazing service from Master Mechanics, Art & Sergey They came to my house and fixed my 3-year-old Toro lawn mover today. They cleaned the mower's dirty carburetor that prevented it from running for more than a few seconds, and provided a thorough "tune-up" that included everthing imaginable---checking and cleaning all parts, blade sharpening, oil & filter change, etc. After they finished, my old Toro mower now looks and runs like it did when it was new. Wow! Great service and reasonable prices! Hard to find these days and Art provides both. I bought a used riding mower from a co-worker. I used it 3 times before the blade stopped moving. After looking for a service that could come to my home (can't fit a riding mower in a Prius!), this was the ONLY one in my area of Northern Virginia! I was a little nervous. There seemed to be a mix of really positive reviews for actual service provided and negative for calls not returned. Well, Art returned my call quickly. We were able to arrange an appointment just 2 days later. He quickly assessed the issue and fixed it quickly. I asked about annual service and he came back a few days later to winterize it. He gave me a fair estimate. After the service, he provided a full explanation of the services he did (less than he had expected) and gave me tips for what to do in the spring. These guys are great! They came to our home, and provided excellent service with very reasonable rates. I saw that somebody gave them a negative review because their mailbox was full, but I can verify that that should not be a problem at all. I spoke to them on a couple of occasions before they came out. The first time I got through right away and was able to make an appointment for them to come out a couple of days later ( much sooner than any of the brick and mortar shops were able to do). A superb business. It may seem strange at first contacting Master Mechanics through their website, but I did and within a few days Art gave me a call. Although he is very busy, he will make every effort to fit you in his schedule, especially if he already has a nearby job scheduled. He gave me a window of between 1-4 and then called 20 minutes before his arrival. He also gave me an estimate of the cost over the phone. Art's workshop is on wheels and he comes to your house to do the repairs. He refurbished a carburetor on my power washer and did some repairs on my mower, trimmer, and blower. Since I do some mechanical work, he allowed me to watch and explained everything he was doing and why. A couple hours later, each of my machines were running perfectly. With the hurricane approaching, our generator stopped working. No generator meant no sump pump if the power went out and that would turn into a flooded basement. Desperately, we called 20 companies and all of them turned us down except Master Mechanics. Art Reyzvikh, who owns the company, showed up with a large trailer behind his truck. Inside, he has an entire workshop with all the parts needed for repairs to any small engine! You don't have to take your equipment to a shop, he brings the shop to you! He was friendly, professional, and his customer service was impeccable! (I've been in customer service for 20 years) He offered to let me watch him work (which I took him up on) and he explained everything he was doing, tools he used, and little tricks for saving money! None of the mechanics or technicians I've ever had before would do something so nice and generous! He genuinely cares about his customers and makes time to see them despite long hours.
