We recently rented a house with a salt-water pool, and since it is warm enough outside to enjoy the…read morewater, we decided to tackle the job of trying to place the PVC pipes back together from the previous owners who had winterized the pool. They took the pool pump apart, and stored the top of our sand filter. After a few tries of trying to piece together a puzzle (I felt like I was a contestant on Survivor, trying to put it all together), I got tired of it and decided to give them a call based on a comment my boyfriend's Mother had made on the service they have with the community. When I called, they were doing a Pool School on chemicals, so the lady who answered took down my name and number and said that someone would get back to me shortly. Less than 30 minutes later, I had Roy Vaden on the phone himself, asking where our house was. 15 minutes after that, he was ringing our front doorbell! I was impressed by the speed of response by this company, and we took him out back where the mess was. He made some comments about our pool area, and then was able to piece together the remaining pipes from the filter to the pump. I was definitely impressed. He told us that he'd have one of his people come and start the pump, tighten the pipes, etc. While we didn't hear from him for a few days, a simple call back, and we were on the phone with a pool tech, and he apologized---apparently he hadn't gotten the message from Mr. Vaden. That's okay though, I was impressed at the visit he made on such a short notice. I will update my review once we have our pool serviced. The customer appreciation that was given is enough for me to get any pool supplies I need at Roy Vaden Pools.

We put up with the service techs not coming on the day they said they would(especially annoying when you work from home so you can let them in the gate, only for nobody to show up-This happened multiple days in a row). They increased the cost to open up pools to $350+, so we decided to just pay an independent pool guy to do it for $100 (who did an excellent job). We still planned on using Roy Vaden for specialty services, but I'm kicking myself now. We went with Roy Vaden to replace our pool pump this past June. They came around 4pm and left about 30 minutes later after it started raining. Luckily my wife was at home and decided to check out the new pump when it stopped raining. Water was spewing everywhere and my pool had lost over 2 inches of water. The man left without making sure everything was set and working properly (I can understand not wanting to be in the rain, but at least cut the breaker and finish the next day). Do yourself a favor and just go with another pool company.

The pool has been operations now for about 4 years and we are very pleased with what we got, and we highly recommend them for service, design and quality. Project manager went out for medical issue and there was no communication from peek as to his return and didn't send anyone out to take over project. Two months later and multiple texts and emails he finally showed back up. After waiting nearly three months with no progress we finally get the plaster done. The crew members were chewing sunflower seeds and spitting shells everywhere and ended up getting shells in the plaster. Oh and don't let me fail to mention that whenever a payment is due they are on your doorstep expecting immediate payment from you without delay, saying they can't complete any more work unless you stroke a check. Well of course I made all payments as requested and now that they got the equipment installed and got all their money they are gone. Well that would be great but two of my pool lights don't work, the gas isn't hooked up to pool heater, I have no idea if equipment is running or even working properly and absolutely no response from company after at least a dozen requests for a service response. I would strongly consider using another company. From what I have heard from others who are familiar with peek, they are no longer the company they were 5-10 years ago. Don't let the pool kings show fool you.

Over the next 3 weeks, I received several texts from Mike which made it clear he had lost the appointment info, and each time reminded him. After clarifying and confirming a date and time, Mike did not show for our appointment. He responded to a text the same morning (after the appointment time) saying he could not make it, and could not schedule any more liner replacements. I requested that he follow-up on his previously provided verbal estimate with a written estimate and planned to contract with him for the job. After hearing nothing for 4 days, I called and left a voicemail that was never returned just as were 4 more voicemails left over the next two weeks. Finally, I left a message telling him that if he had some professional or personal issues that precluded his doing the job, that would be understandable, but I wanted to close the loop and he never responded. You never know what issues people are dealing with, but based on my knowledge at this point and experience with McMillon Pool Company I certainly would not recommend them.

A lot of their business comes courtesy of builders. So they feel like they can keep getting away with poor quality and service and charging outrageous amounts for their sub-par work. All while their employees and contract workers are disgruntled and underpaid and overworked. That is how you get poor quality and long times for anything to get done. If they build a pool for you, don't be surprised to find mistakes that need to be fixed (especially with how the equipment is set up). They will agree to do a fix and not show up or when they show up they claim nothing is wrong. We had to pay another company to fix issues that Waterscapes should have under done warranty, especially after the equipment specialist at Waterscapes left us with dangerous issues he claimed were normal and to leave it. Wrong! Definitely don't go with them for pool maintenance or cleaning because it's unpredictable and unreliable. They're cleaners are limited on time and training. They don't properly test or balance all the necessary chemicals (there's more than just chlorine and PH). Health issues folks. This company USED to have a good reputation in the area. It's seriously degraded over the past few years. Now they are just too busy doing low-quality work while they rake in the cash by doubling their prices every couple years. Too much work, not enough good workers, poor customer service, and disgruntled employees. Recipe for failure (especially for the customers). They specialize in making and breaking promises starting at the top of the company and all the way down. You have other choices. Do yourself a favor and pick someone else or seriously reconsider even doing a pool. Already under contract with them? Try to get out of it or at least don't pay in full until everything is completed to your satisfaction.

They kindly referred me to Waterscapes as their local Nashville dealer. So after calling and speaking with Faith, I asked about how I could possibly purchase and install that specific product. She takes down my number and says Andy will call me back. I never receive a call from Andy, but Faith calls me back the next day saying that she spoke to some manager or whomever and they WON'T BE TAKING ON ANY NEW BUSINESS. Confused, I said, "do you know anybody else that installs this product in the area?". Faith seemed to think that was an odd question, like "who's this friggin guy asking for help? What am I? Some sort of customer representative for a pool company?". She certainly wasn't interested in providing me any sort of helpful insight, and I'm pretty sure she was delighted to hear me say "okay, thanks for the help. Bye." My best guess is she had a pretty sweet game of Candy Crush that she had to get back to. So there you have it everybody. Waterscapes doesn't need your business, nor are they interested in helping you because their current business is just treating them tooooo good $$$$$$$!!!!! Best of luck with that model of customer service. I'm sure it will provide many future years of sustaining, profitable business.
