Especially for all your work on the most solid porch ever! I will highly recommend your company to others for making the process smooth and easy for me, your obvious decades of experience and expertise, and for being such a considerate crew. ~Martha

Deck Solutions We…read morehired Deck Solutions to tear down an existing deck and build a new one. Andy is a very likable man and talks the talk. We used him for the deck inspection before we purchased our home and liked him. We did get another bid to tear down and build our deck and that bid was 10k more. We never saw a formal plan for the deck but we discussed in detail what would be done. No permit was pulled as the deck would not be attached to the house and it would have added to the final expense. In hind sight, we should have pulled a permit. I am not new to construction and had concerns early on with the layout of the supports for the deck. The holes were dug and the 4x6 posts were installed in the ground with concrete that was below grade and not crowned. I was unaware at the time that minimum code requires 6x6 supports and that our quote specified 6x6's. I trusted Andy. I also noticed that the supports were not aligned or level height. I spoke with Andy and he assured me that he knew what he was doing. As the work progressed, they were using nails instead of screws to attach the decking. I asked about this and was told that the screws would not last as long as the nails and that in recent years the quality of the screws had worsened. I began to question everything and started researching deck requirements in Tennessee. I learned that Dickson county uses IRBC 2017 requirements. The deck has to be built to code. Permitted or not. When the deck was completed it was not to code and is unsafe. I hired and engineer to inspect the deck and his report showed the major issues with the supports being incorrect size, improperly installed and the span in several places exceeded code. One area was not supported at all. The guard rail is improperly installed and not to code. I can move the railing without much force and parts of the deck are ten feet in the air. The joists are not correctly supported and over spanned in several areas. The stairs were not done to code, the gates don't work. Trying to be a fair man I sent a copy of the report to Andy. He argued that he knows better than the engineer but he said that he would make the repairs as time permitted. He and Waylon came out several times and added some supports, tried to fix the gates and added some structure to the weak areas. The last time they came out was kind of an FU! The upper gates are worse than before and I don't trust them to do anything. In hind sight I would not let them build a dog house. We payed north of $22,000.00 and I have to rebuild my new deck. The nails make it so I will have to ruin most of it taking it apart. Do not use this company. They are not qualified.

Company had their team come out and trouble shoot based on our info. The first solution didn't work so when we called again, they said they would send out their techs again to ensure it would be fixed. The second crew came out fully prepared, diagnosed the issue, replaced a part that was causing the issue, and now our pool's chlorine level is great for the first time all year. Very pleased and happy with their service and support!!!

This place charges an exorbitant amount for opening the pool. Opening the pool for $400 consisted…read moreonly of removing the cover putting in 5 pounds of turbo charge and one bottle of algicide. That was it nothing no other chemicals were provided so that was the first $400. Within two days of the opening, the water was incredibly filthy and smelled like a bit Staten pond. I went to the store and they sold me chemicals and I went back several times each time taking a water sample with me and every time I went somebody told me something different . To the tune of $120-$150 a day. I went four times before I finally gave up. Each time I went, I was given a different set of instructions and the pool just kept getting worse. I have now been able to figure this mess out by myself, but I am never going back to them again. The chemicals I can get cheaper at Amazon, Ace Hardware, and Costco. Their employees are not consistent in the advice that they give you and everyone has a different opinion of what you should do. Unless you have a large discretionary income, I would avoid this place like the plaque
