Please listen to me if you are considering a pool from ANYONE:…read more This.....is.... going....to....be....a....BIG...project. Other than building a house from scratch, it doesn't get more serious than this. **From listening to friends who have used OTHER companies...this... can.... be... a.... nightmare.* This is one of those companies thay you are glad to deal with on a local level. Larger companies will not treat you the same. From planning to permits to finance there are several places where there can be serious points of contention that will have permanent affects on your home value forever. These projects can take from 3 weeks to a month+, depending on weather. They cannot dig when it's raining and muddy Your yard is going to look like it was hit by a cruise missle for a few months. A massive hole has to be dug, dirt has to be moved. No way around this unless you chicken out and get an above ground pool. There are a LOT of considerations. Now why am I getting all preachy? Glad you asked :) You will likely need to be in DAILY contact, so just get that in your head. *DO NOT WORK with a company that treats you badly, takes your money, leaves you with a terrible mess, does not answer calls.* You are going to want to make sure that the company you deal with has been doing this for a LONG time and has MANY local contacts. *It helps because speed bumps will arise, and knowing local laws and contacts moves things right along.* This company has the local contacts and knows the regulations well. They do not try to offset costs by making the customer pay for them on the side (electrical for instance). This is important since whomever is financing your project often wants to write the check to one company ONLY, not multiple This company has kept to the old adage of "Make a friend, make a customer." They really get to know you to see if they can assist. Out of the four local companies that came out and did bids for our pool, this was an easy choice. Now here are some of the big differences: THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS DECADES... for a good reason. They do good work. Period. 1. They showed up on time for their appointment. The other companies rescheduled an average of once each. 2. They left me with an accurate estimate right there. They did not make me wait a week to hit me with some crazy number. *One company never left me with an estimate after visiting with me for over and hour and planning out the pool. *One company kept delaying sending me the estimate, making me follow up with the multiple times. 3. They showed up EVERY day at the same time and even showed up on Saturday sometimes while trying to play catch up. 4. Yes and for the most important thing..... they had the BEST pricing.... by about 20%!!!!!!!!! *If you are looking to get discounts and play one company against another, they have set pricing here* 5. They answer their phones, and do pool water sample testing at their office free of charge. Bonus: When OTHER pool companies tell you they can get started on your project within a week, ask yourself why... (It's because they are dragging along multiple projects, not getting anything complete, pissing everyone off, or nobody wants to deal with them locally. Do your research on the other companies or you will be sorry.)

June 01, 2022 This…read moredisaster started in April of 2020 when we hired them to replace the liner of our in-ground pool. It all seemed normal as their showroom looked professional and the in-person customer service was appropriate. They gave an estimate of 4 weeks for a full liner replacement, we signed on the dotted line, and paid 50% up front for the down payment. That was the last decent experience we had with them. Over the course of the next couple months it took them approximately 8 trips to our house to almost complete the installation. Throughout the course of those trips their crew trashed my backyard, intentionally dumped a load of concrete on our lawn, and took over twice the time stated to "install". On their final trip of that installation, the technician ripped the liner and then just left without saying a word. We walked outside expecting to finally see a completed pool when we were slapped in the face by a rip in the liner and a floating light. We called the office immediately to see what the issue was and they told us he would be back out ASAP. Needless to say he never returned. When we confronted them the next day, they started by telling us that the technician said our dogs ripped the liner. Their story later changed to "the liner was recalled for this reason". Eventually they admitted to being at fault and promised to patch the liner for use during that season and to return the next pool season (2021) to install a new liner at no additional cost. Pool season '21 came and it got even worse. From the mouth of their "Sr. Technician", whoever measured the new (2021) liner grossly mis-measured it, causing it to rip at the skim baskets and come off the lip, (costing me well over $1000 in water bills since the tear was nearly invisible with the skim covers in place). They then told us the same thing, we'll patch it for use this season and come back out to install a new liner next season (2022) at no additional cost. Pool season '22 comes and it gets literally as bad as it can get. We had to put off selling our house until the liner has been replaced. I had been calling them since March, just trying to schedule appointments for them to come out. They told me they already have the liner and were ready to install whenever the weather permitted. They refused to make appointments and just kept saying they'd contact us when the weather was right. When they told us it would be done in "hopefully about two weeks", all of a sudden their entire crew had COVID, the Flu, or just decided not to show up. They literally said Hopkinsville is the @$$hole/armpit of America and it's hard to find good workers, people just don't want to work. On May 27th, 2022, they quit and refunded us of our down payment, exactly one week before closing on the sale of the house. After they refunded us our money I discovered that they had been using pictures of the job they never completed at my house for advertising. Also, we attempted to purchase the liner from them because I found a professional crew who is aware of my situation and agreed to help me out and install it, but L&W said they never actually had my liner, and that "it's at the warehouse". I don't think this company has ever called me back regarding an issue. They're very good at saying they will, but don't. Additionally, whenever you ask to speak to someone specific, they're mysteriously always "out of the office right now, but I can take a message if you'd like". I've had to work extraordinarily hard to get into contact with them. Recently they have stopped responding to my Facebook messages, (in my opinion because then there is no record of what was said), but I do have over two years of messenger history. L&W Pools now has an F rating with the BBB, 2 years too late for me, but not for y'all reading this. I would have loved to fire them and use someone else, but they had half the money already and I couldn't afford to lose it.

The guys who came to open up my pool didn't knock to let me know they were here or ask me where the parts were that they needed, I found them INSIDE my garage "looking for what they need to open the pool" with no warning at all. Imagine my surprise when my camera/alarm system notifies me of motion and a door being opened and there's two men I don't know inside my garage? The opening service was garbage, it wasn't vacuumed, they just shocked it and turned the filter on. Needless to say, it's been 5 days and my pool still looks like a swamp. We had to hire another company to come service it.
